The Tainitskaya Tower of the Kazan Kremlin serves as the entrance to the Kazan Kremlin, from the north and is located in the northern part of the Kremlin wall, in the city of Kazan. Like the Spasskaya Tower, it was erected in the 16th century by Pskov architects Postnik Yakovlev and Ivan Shiray. During the capture of Kazan, the troops of Ivan the Terrible blew up a tower called Nur-Ali (in Russian - Muraleeva). After recovery, she was named Nikolka. Tainitskaya is the third name, since there was a hiding place here - an underground passage through which Kazan troops obtained drinking water during the siege. However, it was destroyed by an explosion, and the nearby North Tower, built in the 16th century, also did not survive.

The Tainitskaya Tower was erected in the 16th century on the site of the Nur-Ali Tower, which was blown up during the siege of Kazan by the soldiers of Ivan the Terrible. The Taynitskaya tower was built by Postnik Yakovlev and Ivan Shiryai. Initially the tower was called Nikolskaya. The new name of the tower - Tainitskaya - is associated with an underground passage under this tower, which led to a source of water and was destroyed by an explosion. The besieged Khan's fortress received water from a secret source. It was through the destroyed Nur-Ali tower that in October 1552, after the capture of Kazan, Ivan the Terrible entered the fortress taken by his army.

It is difficult to evaluate historical landmarks because you cannot hold them to the same standards as your contemporaries. In general, the place is interesting, mainly for its gates - it gives some idea of the historical era. The disadvantages include the inability to get inside and the inability to climb the Kremlin wall

The Tainitskaya tower of the Kazan Kremlin serves as the entrance to the Kazan Kremlin from the north and is located in the northern part of the Kremlin wall, in the city of Kazan. You can go down to the embankment and walk along the walls to the Palace of Farmers. Tainitskaya probably, judging by its name, has a secret. Most likely an underground passage to the river in case of siege, drinking water and escape.

An excellent immersion in history for families with children. The quest takes place directly in the tower itself and contains riddles for both children and adults.

The tower has its own history. There is a spring under it. During the siege of Kazan by the troops of Ivan the Terrible, the residents of the Kremlin took water from there and were able to defend themselves for a long time. The tower has an interesting structure. It harmoniously fits into the appearance of the Kazan Kremlin. We really liked her.
