I ate Family Mart onigiri in my life. Mistakes were made. Nobody’s perfect. Now I know what real onigiri tastes like never again.

Popular onigiri place in Okinawa. It definitely earned its place. Reasonably priced. There was a queue but service was pretty quick. There is seating opposite their shop with tissues, cutlery & a wash basin. Simple menu of spam & egg onigiri with option of additional toppings. We tried 2 types, ebi tempura & mentaiko. Freshly made & decent sized. It tasted so good. The additional topping adds another dimension. Wanted to grab another but we had more items to try out in the market. A definite must try when in Okinawa.

Great Tamayo Onigiri. I tried the number 1 and number 3. The third special was the most memorable because they had the Okinawa’s sea grapes, which was quite a delicacy. 100% recommend to try!

The box of special onigiri was enough for three people. The tempura shrimp onigiri was the best because it has mayo. I wish they provided additional condiments. BYO wasabi, soy sauce, hot sauce, black pepper, shichimi or mayo.

Had to see what the rave was about. I ordered the mustard green & tuna onigiri, and the fried tofu & miso onigiri. Not a fan of the first one as the greens were too bitter (but I expected that). The combo of the second one was really good, and not too salty despite the miso and the spam. They fried the eggs in the onigiri on order I believe. Now I'll be back to try one of the onigiri's from the standard menu- the mentaiko onigiri sounds really good!

A different ways of eating rice ball. They have many other stores located at many different sites in Okinawa. Therefore, if you cannot come to this one then you can still have it at another place.

Great place to taste a classic Okinawa favorite made of spam, eggs, rice, mayo and seaweed. I had the version with added sea grapes, it was delicious! I also liked that they had an extra space for seating.

We gotten the pork onigiri with sea grapes and one with the fried tofu and also a bowl of okinawa soba (400 yen), wanted to try the one with goya tempura but it was all sold out. The pork onigiri with fried tofu is yummy 😋. The one with sea grapes was just alright.

The food is delicious. Sometimes You need to wait for a long time. But I wait around 15 minutes in Monday morning.

The onigiri is delicately prepared. Its rice is soft. The ham is properly salty. The egg is not too sweet. All of them are fabulous when they are served as an onigiri. This restaurant has a very small shop but there are about 10 seats in the room located nearby for dinein with hand cleaning area and toilet. It is located in an alley in the market.

Special Box for 2900 yen - three special flavours - deep fried tofu and abura miso, shrimp tartar, goya tempura and 2 standard flavours - abura miso, and katsuo konbu

Arrived at 7:20am on a Thursday and the wait was 45 minutes! The care for quality is impressive as each onigiri is meticulously prepared with care. Great food but be prepared to wait. The tofu onigiri was delicious and the ebi shrimp one was crispy and tasty. For more waiting in queues, try the breakfast restaurant on the opposite side of the street. There is a small eating area across the street if you want to eat there

Highly recommend this place! Store people were friendly and food was great. I had a goya (bitter melon) tempura musubi. The bitterness of the goya goes really well with spam and eggs. I tried spam musubi at the similar store nearby but I liked this place better.

I had much better pork onigiri in Okinawa. Also no one told me that 50m away is the place with tables where I can have what I just bought. So I was staying next to the place when I bought onigiri trying to eat it on the street. Not friendly at all. I do not recommend this place at all.

This is the best onigiri so far but the staff focus on cooking eggs and not very willing to take orders and with poker face. Only few customers today. Credit card acceptable.

Quant little shop with delicious onigiri. Long-ish line so expect a wait but so worth it. Recommend the fried fish!

If you love or are curious about spam this is the place you must try before leaving the island. I grew up on spam, therefore I definitely had to try it and was not disappointed. Simple, filling, tasty and extremly satisfying. Loved it😍! No sitting inside this small place, but outdoor and indoor sitting directly across from the kitchen. Has a bathroom and two sinks to wash your hands after eating. Because you can lose Wi-Fi inside the covered shopping area I had to resort to going to the outside streets in order to find this place. I made a point to take pictures inside the covered shopping area to lead people to the shop so they would not have to go outside. I hope this is helpful.

I visited several times during my stay in Okinawa. This is the only place rice sand that uses Karashi-na/Local vegetable. It was really delicious. To me, Karashina one was more tasty than Goya-tempura one.

Great little snacks in this food shop. But when you get them you realize that they are not so small anyway. Each of them will help you to get easy through to the lunch time and beyond. For me it is a kind of sandwich size of Onigiri. You can choose specials (each store's limited edition) and regular. Different feeling. Tempura, Shrimps, Cod fish, Tofu, Green mustard with Tuna. First you need to que for getting the food and than you move to opposite side of the street to sit down and eat.

Bustling pork onigiri sandwich shop with some indoor seating just opposite. There is a range of options, from the classic (just pork) to more elaborate ones (we got the fried fish and tartare one). Absolutely delicious and actually bigger than expected. There are a few drink options (which can be ordered as a set for a small discount), but most people seemed to use the nearby vending machine. Expect a small queue in the morning, and they will call out your number in Japanese so make sure to look up how to say it while you wait! At the least, the menu also has English and you can just point when you order.

In our few days stay in Naha, we had this three times for breakfast as it is that good. They have 3 other branches and we just got to have this at Naha airport before we fly off. The ingredients are well balanced which makes it an extremely satisfying simple meal. There is a small shop for dine in just opposite the shop itself which we only realised when the staff pointed out to us.

If you're planning a hike somewhere around the island, stop by here early and pick up a few musubi to go. You won't be disappointed. Go early because the line do get long.

I thought that since I was in Okinawa, I should try Okinawan breakfast, so I came to buy some and found a long line of people waiting in line! I was surprised at the popularity of Po-Tama onigiri. The food was just as I had expected, if not better than I had expected. The pork luncheon meat, the thickly baked egg, and the perfect amount of salt whetted my appetite. For me, I ate two pieces and it was the perfect amount for breakfast. I only ate the standard menu this time, but I will try the special menu next time I go.

By far the best onigiri I ever had! If you've never tried it even already tried, you can't go wrong here. I took the fried fish one with tartar and OMG :) a bomb ! A must try Note, there are no seatings but you can walk to the nearby park for tables and chairs.

Luncheon meat sushi wrapped rice. Was very thirsty after the meal as the meat is from the canned “spam” brand of meat, means with mag, preservatives. The rice and egg are nicely cooked and taste good. The serving was fast and the portion is just nice. There are a variety of wrapped rice.

The rice ball is super delicious especially the ones with miso source. I would come here again to have my breakfast the next time I visit Okinawa. The staff is very kind and made us all feel pleasant.
