You get what you pay. It is cheap, but the rooms are basic and the building feels quite old. However I must say that the shared bathrooms were clean and they have a shared social/coworking space that was good. It is about 20 minutes walk from Kokusai-dori, but only 2 minutes away from the port where the boats to Zamami depart.

Wouldn’t recommend. The staff is pretty helpful and everybody working there is very sweet, but the place felt old, dusty and needs renovation. The tables in the common room were always sticky, we found used eartips in our bunk. The dust was building up in our room and in general they should change their cleaning procedures. The single/double rooms seemed cleaner and more modern though, we were staying in a 6 bed room. Great for a cheap stay though if you just want to go island hopping, they even have offers for that.

Cheap and cheerful hostel in a perfect location for exploring Okinawa. It's right next to the main docks, so if you're arriving by ferry or want to take more to the beach islands, you're in the right place. We stayed in both the dorm and private rooms, and they had everything we needed. The helpful and friendly staff also helped us book a follow-up campsite by phone, as our Japanese temp SIM cards didn't allow us to make calls. We highly recommend this place, and will definitely be back!

I don't quite understand how they have so many great reviews. It's okay but not good. The dorms are not very clean there is so much dust and the bathroom in the room was a little disgusting, but the shared washrooms were way better. (but they are in a different floor than the dorms) The kitchen is also a bit gross, the sponge is older than i am and it stinks. EVERY table is sticky and most of the pans are just trash. There is no cleaning staff, the people who clean are other travelers (at least thats what i saw) It's a 25 min walk to the center of Naha. The staff is friendly tho.

DON’T book any activities with them. I booked a fun dive and when I got up in the morning, the pick up didn’t arrive. At the front desk where I made the booking, they just shrugged their shoulders and said that the booking didn’t go through and someone else got my spot. Although they did the booking process. All they had to say was: „this is unfortunate“, which it is because in the end I didn’t go diving which is why I want to Okinawa for in the first place. This really spoiled my trip and I consider this very unprofessional, because I could’ve organized something myself if they said that they are not capable to do a simple booking. I would really recommend to book somewhere else! Two stars because housing and prices are okay, rest of the staff was friendly.

We stayed in the deluxe double room. Came with a fridge and water kettle and a beautiful view of the port. The kitchen and lounge area is great, clean and friendly. The staff are amazing and super helpful. Also, guests get discounts for all kinds of warter activities which is an added bonus.

Very nice and hospitable place! Met people to do day trips with, extremely easy and convenient location for island hopping, dorms are good (hopefully no snoring because you’ll hear it). Overall a great experience!

Recommend this hostel, the staff is helpful, very social for Japan. It seems a bit old and could be get new beds and restrooms. But at the end it is a place to sleep and not to hang out all day long. The short way to the pier is awesome so you can get easily to the other islands!

Awesome staff! Thank you Shogo and Olivier for all of your help. Olivier was kinda enough to call a "Valley of Gangala" and make a reservation for me in advance. It turned out to be a highlight of my trip! I did think the dorms were a little dirty. Our bathroom smelled of mildew and the floor was always sticky. The shared bathroom on the third floor is kept very clean, so I used that instead. I would absolutely recommend this hostel. The staff are very helpful and it's location is ideal if you're visiting nearby islands.

All was good, the stuff is super nice and friendly, especially KJ who helped us to arrange travels to other islands. There is a co-working space with the view on the harbor. The common room is very cosy. It was calm and quiet.

My Place is unquestionably the best hostel in Naha. It’s my third time choosing to stay here between side trips to surrounding islands, I love it here, and wouldn’t stay any place else! The staff is fabulously kind, warm, caring, and intent on making the guests experience on Okinawa the best it can be. They are extremely helpful with travel details and recommendations, and helping in any way possible to get oriented in Japan. I find where the staff is amazing, so are the guests, which is certainly true for My Place. I am so grateful to have landed here, it feels like home. Additionally, they have an entire business center work space set up for the digital nomad that is impressive.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had a private double room with bathroom and it was better than a higher end hotel, very clean and came with a few extra amenities. Our room overlooked the harbour for some fantastic views. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and a nice shared space but small kitchen. We didn't really need to use it much as there was a Family Mart right across the street with many great food choices. Nice location but not super accessible to transit (about a 10 min walk) and a taxi driver wouldn't take us there from the main shopping strip, but we don't know why. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you are physically able and like to walk you can easily walk to most of the main tourist attractions.

Can highly recommend this hostel! The vibe is great and it's easy to meet other travellers. In the evening, people gather in the social area and have fun together :) very close to ferry port and short walking distance to town.

The hostel is well situated especially if you want to do day trip to the island around Naha. The staff is very nice. The common part are quite big compare to other hostel. The bed are not matress but futon. They are not very comfortable. The room and the bathroom are clean but small and a little old.

My Place is one of those hostels that is more of a hotel in the rooms, but has a hostel feel in the common areas. They provide comfort items free of charge, the place is peacefully quiet, and the people are friendly and helpful. This is my place to stay in Naha.

Great value hotel. We stayed one night and we were really impressed by the cleanliness of the place. The shared female bathroom was spotless, the same with the room. Receptionist was extremely kind and helpful. Highly recommended!

Lovely hostel! Rooms have more privacy than other hostels I’ve stayed at, and there’s still some great communal areas for fun social interaction.

Very friendly staff that help you have the most enjoyable stay in Okinawa! Foreigner friendly and speak English. Great location as it is right in front of the Ferry to transit to other islands. It is a pick up spot for scuba dive shops as well. Have tons of amenities to offer such as renting a bicycle for 100円/hour to explore the area. Rooms are very cheap and clean!

Very nice staff, cute facilities to meet up. Anything you’d need really, even for a longer stay. What a shame we could only stay for one night. Everyone is very friendly and open and if you wanna chat with (other) foreigners, this is the place to come

Quaint and tranquil guesthouse if you’ve been on the road for a couple years and wanting to stay in the heart of Naha City and RELAX. This place has a wonderful shared kitchen and dining area where many of us partook in watching midnight games of FIFA World Cup 2022. There are options for rooms of: Dorms & 3 style privates with option of Sea View. The rooftop is great for Yoga and Meditation and the Co-Working space is terrific! It’s so bright and fresh and a great overall space to get work done. The washrooms are incredibly clean and the staff take tremendous care of the facility. You can: 1) Rent a bicycle here to go around and explore for about ¥200/hr 2) Inquire about the tours they organize, including Whale Watching 3) Take a boat ride to Nago for ¥500 instead of public transportation which is about 1 hr instead of 2. 4) Leave your luggage for FREE for up to 1 week Last but not least, Olivier, the manager is absolutely terrific. He is a wealth of knowledge and a hero who wears no Cape - you’ll see when you meet him. He is caring and very knowledgeable about preserving Okinawa’s history, culture and traditional ways of life. As a foreigner living in Japan, Olivier is so integrated, speaks the language fluently and is simply all about consciousness and sustainability! An exemplary human, truly. Thank you for such a wonderful experience, that made us feel like home.

This place is in a great location, next to the main ferry station, so it was a perfect choice for us 🚀 Staff is the best of the best, really helpful and flexible 🙏🏻 The hotel is clear, quiet and pleasurable. The bathroom has many cosmetics and products available for women to use 💜 Thank you for a great holiday! Greetings from Klaudia and Damian from Poland! 🥰

Good affordable place to stay in Naha. A bit far on foot from the closest station. The experience would hugely depend on other guests at the time of your stay. Overall good.

Great location - quick taxi or bus ride from Naha airport, easy walk to city center Good rooms - AC in the rooms was great, wish the storage locker was a bit bigger Great service - Staff was very helpful in helping me figure out the ferry service and get a great discount on my fare!

The rooms are clean and nice. Just sometimes it can be very noisy from outside the rooms but that is just how guesthouses usually are I guess. But if you are a light sleeper and can't use earplugs for some reason (like I did with my earpain) maybe avoid sleeping there. The staff was outstandingly useful, friendly and went out of their way helping me with a lot of things. They are people you wanna hang out with, really. As with every journey, the biggest things you will remember are the people you met and the conversations you had, and in this hostel, I met a lot of special and wonderful people. Also a great point is that you can rent bycicles right from the hostel which really useful if you don't have access to a car (okinawas public transport system being not very great). Thank you very much, and see you soon!😊🤗

Excellent staff that perfectly speaks English with a great location next to the port. They provide discounts for various water activities that are must to try in Okinawa. Bicycle rental is also provided for 100 yens/hr that helps you easily go around Naha. Cheap and a clean place with fully equipped kitchen.
