So I guess I will be the first Western tourist to write a proper review about this place. First of all....the mostly Thai visitors left reviews of this place and judging by mostly the translator of Google I can only conclude that most visitors have a very different interpretation of visiting a nature of wildlife park. The complaints seem to be irrelvant to the purpose of the place. This park is in this region promoted as a birdwatchers paradise. So when you think something is missing just because there is not much to do or to see, you are wrong. We came here to do some birding and were absolutely amazed by the large amount of birds we got to see and hear. Sure, when you enter this park it looks like a random manifactured city park with campsite places. When you however continue the walk down the nature trail birds are everywhere. We even spotted a large turtle. We paid only 50 baht per person and were the first to arrive at 9.00 in the morning. The overlook on the pond is fabulous so bring your binoccular to spot the gorgeous kingfishers. Don't even bother to pay for the boatride: none of the staff speaks any english.

Best to see a very large natural reservoir in the middle of Thailand. Many wild birds and prime area for migrant water birds in the Winter. Local bird guides of excellent knowledge with their own boat !

Boat ride on Bueng Boraphet lake to enjoy the bird park can be done in as little as an hour. This can done during the day as well (not just in the morning or late afternoon). For info, I paid 500 baht for one hour boat ride. To enter the park, you are required to pay an entrance fee (higher if you have a car). If you're on a road trip through central Thailand and Nakornsawan, then this is a must-visit.

It is 27.01.19 we visited (2. Time) that park. The park itself is not a very big sensation, although the people give all their power to make it beautiful. It's a place for recreation. But the real hit was today the trip with the boat. (500 baht for 1 hour, but the captain switched off the engine after 1,5 hours). Because since yesterday are 10.000 th of birds on site. There is an island and the birds , coming from Sibiria, celebrating here their holidays. Every tree was occupied by big birds, duck birds call themn the Thais. Also storks are here in a big amount. Today we couldn't see a lot of Lotus, as we saw one year before. It was too early for lotus. Very interesting is also that the lotusplants seeds are eatable. For that knowledge you need of course an insider. Taste is like Kohlrabi. Resume: drive to the Bueng Boraped Bird park look around and then use the road, inside the park, closer to the water. There, on a circle, you can find the phone number of LUNG PNOM. He is doing the trips with the boats. Call him and he, or his son will come. The boats are a bit noisy, but you can sit like in church. And every boat has a rooftop.

Good experience to see Black-necked Grebe in Thailand. This is 3rd time in record that we've found in Thailand and 2nd time in Bueng Boraphet.

A wasteland. The boat ride is worth it...but the Thais have made a great place for school children to visit by cutting down the vegetation and manicuring the grounds. It's not a place for birds...only people.

A favourite quiet place for me to hangout, watch the birds, boat onto the lake, admire the lotus ponds, the occasional croc sunning itself, local Fishing people, and a quiet walk. There is a local restaurant, fresh water non farmed fish vendor, on a quiet dead end road.
