Very nice location 4 of us came in with a little over an hour to spare before we had to leave to catch the ferry. Had to end up leaving with food to takeaway due to how long it took to prepare our orders. Was not expecting food to take that long To be fair the cali club sandwich was good, but the steak sandwich my friend came as…this Not sure what happened, but this was quite disappointing

Tried this location out for dinner and drinks with my partner and the service was very mediocre. Server did not smile one time nor was she polite in any way. As a fellow server who has been in the pub industry for 8 years I expected better service from a busy waterfront pub. I believe it is your job to present a positive attitude toward your customers and this is far from what we received during our visit. The food and drinks were good but the service really impacted our experience. I'm not one to usually leave reviews but this visit really left me feeling unpleasant and not wanting to return or recommend you guys to others. Overall just disappointed.

We came to have a drink before the ferry and specifically asked if they can make some food really quick as we had to leave in 45 minutes. A waitress assured us that we'd be good. In 40 minutes we only got our beer (that was good, no problem with it) and I requested to pack all meals as we were about to be late. Our meals were packed in 55 minutes from the time the order was requested. We were lucky to be on time, but that is not the way to handle things. There would've been no problem if the waitress told us that their kitchen had been busy - we'd just grab a beer and some snacks. But we were assured that we'd be able to leave in time. And the onion soup was not that tasty, while the prawns were great. You work close to the terminal, it's necessary to understand the importance of the timing.

Food and service was good. Had the tuna stack, yorkies, portobello mushroom burger, and house salad. Had better yorkies in Kelowna but they were OK here.

Loved the chicken lips and ponchos. The service was great, the food came quick and correct. The drink menus was a blast to check over.

This place is awesome. Super friendly staff, great atmosphere inside, but the balcony is where it’s at on a sunny day. Great food too.

For main we got beef stroganoff and fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. It was $6 extra to add the chicken and there was 4 thin strips of overcooked chicken that was very bland and rubbery. The food was extremely bland and tasted off, except for the appetiser (stuffed mushroom) which tasted really good. We hardly ate our main dishes. We didn’t complaint to the servers because they were very nice and running around on a very very busy evening.

Good food and some crazy shooters. If you don't know about pachos you should try them... I recommend the deluxe version.

Very disappointed in the experience. We sat down for 15 min before getting service, and we decided to get our meals to go because of the ferry time. My 24$ chicken Cesar salad had 4 ingredients- lettuce, 4 croutons, dressing and chicken. Extremely disappointed - would not recommend.

I found myself waiting for a fairy back to Vancouver from departure Bay and Nanaimo. I needed to pass some time and hadn't eaten so fluked my way into Carlos O'Bryan's for dinner, and what a bonus it was! The atmosphere was lively, the staff was energetic and it all. All it felt like a great place to have a snack and a beverage or two. The food was standard pub fare, with the onion soup being a little bit above average! This place is totally worth it if you need a quick bite with some comfort food in the area. My only drawback was that I was sitting very close to the door so was constantly being surrounded by incoming patrons and catching the draft on a cold dark evening lol.

We stopped in for lunch. I haven't been back since the mid 90's incarnation when it was called Muddy Waters, which I loved at the time. It's branded now as an Irish pub. I had the chicken lips, was very good .. my wife had calamari and loved it. The servers are amazing, very accomadating and friendly. It wasn't too busy when we were there. 10/10 would recommend, and would return. Limited parking, it was fine for lunch but if this is anywhere as popular night spot like it used to be I can see it being a bit of a problem in the evening.

The food and service were really good and thankfully we went at happy hour as the regular prices seemed a bit steep. Almost $20 for some appetizers. The atmosphere is really nice though and a great view of the marina. I'd definitely return.

What can I honestly say. This place is great. Down by the Marina, so maybe Bring a sweater just in case. But if you show up for Happy Hour you can get Potcho's I believe half price. They aren't terribly expensive anyways though. But the are delicious! Recommended fully loaded covered in Bacon. The staff are always friendly. And there's a Huge St. Patrick's Day Vibe here. As well as usually St. Patrick's Day events. Bartender keeps up. Good food, good drinks, good service. 10/10 would come here again. I love this place. Forgot to add that the reason I spent more then 100 is because of drinks. The meals here are much cheaper.👌

Beautiful cozy pub!!! Very convenient located and walking distance from Nanaimo Departure Bay Ferry Terminal . Pariya offered us a very professional and courteous service . She prepared the most delicious dry martini with gin and a drop of whiskey!!!

I live on the mainland, and this was my first time going. The food was delicious and the view and atmosphere is great! The service was slow and a bit disorganized, but in their defense, it was extremely busy! And, to no surprise, it's definitely higher on the price scale. All in all, I would return again.

We were recommended to come to this restaurant/pub and now after coming would 1000% recommend to others! Their specials all were well priced and looked delicious! We LOVED the McCracken Rolls, Calamari, and Prawns! Amazing seafood! Service was incredible - and the portions were very good - my friend and I split the Cajun chicken and they brought it perfectly half portioned on two plates which was just so kind and it was delicious and the perfect size for us that day! Their sauces were delicious too - I could go on and on :) beautiful spot as well right on the dock.

Most the time. Love it. so does everyone. I went in last night with a buddy his first time. We where there last. 4 vodka slimes. everything great. Bill comes. She. The one of 2 servers. Mostly .Oct 30 22 I was not happy about the bill. Told her server I'd bring her tip. 10$ if ..get back to me. I will talk about the bills. She had her chance . Now yours. Try and don't just play me off as a drunk girl

By the water, in a building that is charming and unique. The servers were wonderful but the skirts The have them wear are old fashioned “short skirts”. I don’t like our cause I think of my daughter working in these places and it makes me uncomfortable. Otherwise a nice experience. The food I had was ok. I won’t remember it long term I don’t think. The ambience is very nice and I can’t wait to go back and eat on the balcony off the water.

Great location and atmosphere but average food, taco salad is meh, very little beef

Came in for a bite while I waited for my ferry, expected overpriced and substandard meal do to its proximity to the ferry, I was very pleasantly suprised to a fantastic meal to put it lightly, i got a tasty plate of pachos and a giant marvelous desert. Not only was the meal tasty and very filling, it cost q very reasonable price 40 dollars for whole meal and a %25 tip

The food was amazing. The service was great. We enjoyed our invironment there. We will go again for sure for our girls happy hour 💃🏾🍾🥂😎👌🏼
