Chateau Monfreville is a very nice place to spent your holiday. It's a peaceful campsite with a nice swimming pool. Perrine and Thibault are pleasant and helpful hosts. The organised diners where great and tasteful.

We had a lovely stay in July, camping with another family of friends from the UK. It's a beautiful and peaceful site, with great showers, fridges and a swimming pool! The weather was patchy but we still swam every day and enjoyed exploring the area. Thank you for having us!

I stayed at the campsite of Chateau de Monfreville with my partner for 4 nights while we were on a camping roadtrip. We had an incredible time here and loved it so much that we had a hard time leaving. In fact, on our way back home we drove through Normandie again and decided to stay at the campsite for another 3 nights. The campsite is run by Perrine and Thibault who are wonderfully warm and welcoming people. They made us feel right at home. Communication with them was very smooth. And when my partner bruised his ankle Perrine and Thibault immediately offered their help. The campsite is beautiful. You can pick wherever you want to pitch your tent and any spot is a good spot, really.. The bathrooms are very modern and new. Great showers. There are fridges, a charging station, a microwave, and dish washing sinks. In summer they provide a boulangerie service where you can order bread. You can buy wood and rent a fire pit. You can reserve the hot tub (please do! you won't regret it). And they have many more amenities. Everything is taken care of with such care and attention. Just keep in mind that cars are not allowed on the campsite (which is great!). We will definitely be returning here. Thank you once again Perrine and Thibault!

Still an amazingly cool campsite after all these years! Having toured every which way in the UK and France over 30 years, and first discovering this place in 2014, it is still the benchmark. It isn't just one aspect which adds to the great effect but the combination of all the cool details: the small numbers, flexibility on pitching, lack of cars on the site, relaxed friendly atmostphere, the COOL buildings, the toilets in the main building, the swimming pool - it's actually a nice swim unlike nearly all campsite pools (.. ever!), the superb quality boulangerie morning deliveries, the chickens pecking about, and on and on. The cumulative effect adds up to to Chateau Monfreville being an extremely relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. Luxury camping ! All campsite owners should stay here to discover the magic formula.

The best campsites we have been to as a family! Despite having had bad luck with the weather, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The campsite is small enough to feel cosy and private and yet large enough for the kids to make friends and roam around the campsite all day. Perrine & Thibault are great hosts and make sure that everyone's stay is enjoyable!

Super stay in rose cottage with 3 adults and 2 children. A magical back to nature campsite and grounds. We had a week of bad weather and a week of good. Cottage was perfect for both scenarios. Eating outside in a large private butterfly filled garden was wonderful. Recommend bayuex adventure park with children and older teens. Omaha beach is relatively close by and is great too. Finally, Perrine and Thibault are attentive and welcoming hosts.

We spent two great weeks here. Thibault and Perrine really make you feel welcome. You camp in their garden, they give you a tour and make their rounds every day to check how everyone is doing. Take time to chat and share tips. The nicest campsite owners ever. The site is really beautiful and spacious. The pool is great, you get to make a campfire and there is lots of things to do for the kids on site. Great place, absolutely recommend it! Steven, Nele, Jozefien and Stijn.

The pond cottage / gite was a fantastic place to spend a week. The grounds of the chateau are beautiful, and perfect ground for exploration with our two-year old son. Everything is kept with so much love and attention for detail. We would love to come back.

Beautiful campsite perfect for cycle tourists. It’s really well run with great facilities - including washrooms in the old cellars of the chateau, indoor and outdoor seating areas, and a glorious swimming pool.

Had a very nice stay here. No good for motorhomes and camper vans as they're not allowed on the field but you can pitch your tent pretty much where ever you want. Lovely views and a beautiful chateaux.

We had a great time in July 2021. The new owners are very kind and helpful. It’s a cute little car free campsite behind a chateau. No fixed pitches, plenty of space on the grass field.

Such a sweet stay at Perrine & Thibault’s chateau camping. It’s truly an incredibly beautiful domain with horses having the best time of their life, chickens running around, friendly dog Waffle, ping pong, kicker, hammock and unique swimming pool. The honesty shop is very convenient to get wood for the fire pit and charcoal for the bbq. We were on motorcycle trip and Thibault & Perrine were so kind to lend us 2 chairs and a table. The vibe was very relaxed and everyone was friendly, really a place to escape from the daily rush. Thank you so much and see you soon!

We had a perfect stay here. Perrine and Thibault were very friendly. We arrived with car problems, but they immediately helped us find a mechanic and make an appointment. Furthermore, it was also no trouble for them to check the bread provisions for certain allergens to which our son can react violently. The friendly atmosphere of the campsite also allowed us and our children to meet nice people and make friends. In short, highly recommended!

We stayed with them recently and completely fell in love with both the campsite and the hosts. The place has a lovely atmosphere and sported lovingly created facilities. We liked it so much that on our return trip north we stopped in and stayed for a few more days. Despite the campsite being full during our second stay it maintained the same friendly, relaxed feel. I would highly encourage anyone to consider staying there. We have already started talking about a return trip.

Beautiful and quiet camping in the garden of a charming French castle. Very child friendly environment with a beautiful pool to relax in. The super sweet and helpful owners Perrine and Thibault make you feel right at home. We hope to visit again soon!

Very nice spacious campsite! Utilities were clean and we'll organized, very good bread service in the morning. Thibeault and Perrine were very nice hosts. They also arrange some nice activities on the campsite, sadly we were not able to join them since we were staying only two days, so also for a longer period it's a nice stay.

Perfect campsite. No campers or vans, quiet, wonderful surroundings and very nice new owners. Thibault and Perrine are doing the best they can to make you feel welcome and cater to your needs. We liked the evenings a lot, the BBQ and mussels were nice initiatives to pamper the guests. We greatly recommend this place!

A really lovely camping space I would recommend to everyone. A perfect place for a family holiday. All ingredients for a perfect family holiday are present: very lovely and helpful owners, possibility to join the BBQ or another homemade diner after travelling or day tripping, a barn with a ping pong, footballs, badminton rackets and many more things to play with, a swimming pool, … a vivid place during daytime, peace and quiet in night time. Thank you, Perrine and Thibault!
