👍 Went here for the first time a few weeks ago to meet someone for lunch. Wasn't too busy when we got there so easily found a table inside. Ordered one of the bowls & a tea. Food was very tasty and so filling - I didn't even finish my bowl. Cool spot I would try again. People often mention good, great, delicious, Great, atmosphere, staff, service, fresh,

Chicken is the main meat but so many wonderful vegetable dishes that this meat eater did not even miss it tonight. Great band, warm atmosphere and very attentive staff. Made my wife and I feel as if we were the only ones in the restaurant even though the house was packed and many couples were enjoying the evening and dining. Would definitely recommend and we have already picked out a couple from work that we will introduce to Malelani Cafe

A cute little cafe with great people and amazing food! There's something on all 3 of their menus for everyone. Events, live music, and warm service with a smile. So many memories made here. Always treated like family❤

I had a late lunch date with my wife, I tell you we were VERY HAPPY we stopped off at Malelani’s Cafe. I had the Vegan Pita with a side of Marinated Pot atoes and my wife had the Falafel Platter! And Oh my goodness… we had to get the Cheesecake Baklava. I tell ya… the food was fresh, flavorful, healthy, delicious, and the quaint vibe made us feel at home. Service was good and conversation with the staff/owners was a delight. We’ll definitely be back!

Everything is excellent. There are weekly, or more frequent, opportunities to hear good music. One limitation… it is a small space if you want to be able to see the performers. There is more seating space on the adjacent room, with open entrance between the two.

Not Greek at all, but fresh and colorful food. Very rude masked attendant. For vegetable forward food, not bad. For Greek, definitely not good. For service, some staff were quite pleasant.

Amazing food, lots of side dishes that are obviously crafted in house with care for the presentation and flavors. Really stands out from all the rest. Only criticism is that the side dishes are kind of overwhelming because the pita portions are so small for the platters. You run out of carbs or protein and you're left with heaping piles of side dishes. Either less side dishes or more main carbs/protein!

Food is fresh and delicious. The build your own bowl is great for customizing what you want. Great for those with dietary requirements- this is one of our go to spots for large group orders. The iced teas are super yummy too!

Absolutely wonderful service. Grape leaves were so good they were gone before we thought to take pictures The chicken schwarma was delicious as a gyro or as a bowl. And OH MAN the baklava cheesecake! Plus they brew Craft Teas, Philadelphia made!

I love to visit Melalani Cafe to see my friends, eat wonderful food, and share the MUSIC! George is so supportive of local musicians and you never know who will be performing next! (Well, often you DO know!). I wish they could get a bigger building though, and some more staff just as nice as the ones they have now. I'm sure all the fans would still fill it up.

It's a great causal spot for a good hearty and healthy meal. I appreciate the thoughtfulness on their menu and enjoy walking over to grad a good bite. They have great hummus, good gyros, kabobs and more. I good sampling of some favorite Mediterranean staples.

Three of us had dinner at Malelani Café last night (11/16/22) and it was superb! We had 3 different bowls and they were all filled with fresh delicious ingredients. The owner is a gem- very warm and hospitable and served us some delicious ginger tea. We live near Boston and wish we had a Malelani Café near us. My brother-in-law who was with us lives close by and is already talking about bringing 2 friends here. Many thanks for a superb and healthy mea

Such a cool and chill atmosphere. George the owner is so welcoming and has a great at home feeling at his Café. I was a vendor for one of the small business Saturdays. It's such a great atmosphere and I'm so grateful that George shares his space to support other entrepreneurs. Plus the food is bomb! I had the chicken pita. It was so flavorful and just the right portion. Definitely a must go in Philly.

We stopped there for dinner tonight. We had absolutely fantastic service. They apologized for a wait, but it was hardly anything. The food was absolutely incredible! We ate ourselves into a coma. This place deserves a thousand stars and I'll dream of it from NC.

The falafel platter was great, perfect for two people to share with some extra pita. It was a nice variety of food at a fair price. I would definitely eat here again!

The Veggie Pita and Vegetarian Pita were absolutely amazing. It's only costs $1 to go from a cup of tea to a pot of tea so definitely spring for the pot. It's totally worth it! I loved the cute nook in the wall feeling and there's so much natural light here!

The food is so good. This was my first time trying this place and I will definitely be back regularly. The restaurant is larger than it looks from outside, there is plenty of seating and parking was not a problem. I ordered the chicken shawarma platter and the baklava cheesecake. Do yourself a favor and order 2 of the baklava cheesecakes. I regretted only ordering one when I got home.

Genuinely confused by this place. Friendly service and everything was good, but not memorable; nothing stood out as great. There were some strange misses, like the overly sweet Tzatziki that seemed to be made of vanilla-flavored yogurt, or the squarely out-of-place use of pico de gallo. Overall just "meh" as Greek food goes; just not quite the right combination of flavors. Not a place I'd rush back to, but not bad if you're looking for a quick bite.
