COVID-19
has
basically
surrendered
our
lives,
for
us,
to
the
oppression
that
could
only
be
found
in
the
restrictions
likened
to
those
of
prison.
One
cannot
help
but
to
seek
some
sort
of
resolve
from
the
pressures
of
isolation.
The
simple
pleasures
found
in
food
are
one
of
the
ways
that
I
have
uncovered
some
peace
in
the
restlessness
and
burden
of
solitary
confinement.
As
a
vegetarian
(for
health
and
happiness),
I
was
given
the
advice
to
try
out
one
of
the
hidden
treasure
troves
of
Nashville.
I
couldn't
have
been
more
pleased
with
my
experience.
While
I
was
hoping
for
sit
down
service,
I
found
that
the
appropriately
established
societal
jail's
rules,
I
accept
with
resign,
were
not
as
difficult
to
follow
regardless
of
my
nagging
need
to
be
socially
engaged.
The
restaurant
has
a
open-air
balcony
that
provided
me
with
the
perfect
light
for
reading
Conze's
Buddhist
Meditation
I
found
at
the
Half-Priced
Book
Store
in
Indianapolis.
It
once
belonged
to
a
Ms.
Corderi,
whom
at
one
point
lived
in
New
York
City,
and
she
must
have
been
one
of
the
most
calm
women
of
her
time.
As
I
enjoyed
my
astonishingly
better
than
any
meat
version
I've
had
in
the
past,
honest
to
God,
Patty
Melt
and
spicy
Garlicky
Kale,
I
entertained
the
idea
of
reading
with
all
of
those
who
have
read
this
particular
book
before,
the
authors,
and
the
editors,
as
we
all
experienced
the
joy
found
in
the
reprieve
from
the
violent
attitudes
we
have
all
been
suppressing
in
our
solitude.
They
must
have
been
very
concerned
for
me
as
I
read.
The
sigh
of
relief
brought
on
by
the
tastes
and
flavors
of
a
simple
burger
were
exactly
what
I
needed
to
bring
myself
to
a
feeling
of
restful
restlessness.
My
appreciation
goes
to
the
thoughtful
and
caring
staff,
who
by
all
means
represent
the
community
where
they
have
established
their
little
slice
of
paradise.
Thank
you
for
maintaining
your
open
presence
in
the
midst
of
this
chaotic
and
almost
barbaric
time
we
are
enduring,
and
for
providing
superb
vegetarian
meals
for
all
of
us
to
enjoy.
You
truly
are
the
valiant
heroes
in
our
World's
history
during
this
unprecedented
pandemic,
at
least
for
those
of
us
brave
enough
to
explore
the
barren
streets,
masked
with
our
teams
colors
brandished
across
our
faces
as
if
warriors
proclaiming
our
pride,
loaded
down
with
our
weapons
of
mass
destruction:
hand
sanitizer
and
vigilant
social
distancing
mindsets
that
we
have
been
preparing
for
months,
for
suspected
battles
that
could
possibly
arise
from
even
the
quietest
and
reserved
"hello's."
While
I
try
and
calm
my
nerves
brought
by
the
voracious
appetite
for
a
good
fight,
I
think,
for
the
little
interaction
I
so
long
for,
the
food
and
Conze
have
given
me
the
ability
to
see
a
little
more
lightly
and
clearly
in
a
world
that
has
been
shrouded
by
this
shadow
in
time,
at
least
in
the
most
dramatic
way
I
could
possibly
muster
to
satisfy
myself
in
The
War
of
Boredom,
2019-?.
Thanks
again!
I'll
definitely
be
back!
