Lot of shops, kept clean - good place to stay. There is no Dog-run (only on outbound SA) .

I ate it, telling myself that it can't be helped, it can't be helped. Was it salt ramen with rock seaweed? I don't recommend riding it.

Very fancy/premium souvenir shop and boring restaurant. Due to the brand image/reputation of the Nasu Highlands as a producer of premium dairy and meat products, the souvenir shop has lots of tempting and overpriced stuff to browse through. Milk, yogurt, cheese, sausages, bacon are the main items; lots of other interesting stuff, too. Again, you will be paying premium prices due to the Nasu Highlands brand name. It's also part of Tochigi so you still have strawberry-related sweets. Didn't eat at the restaurant; relatively small and it only has the same food you'll find in every single Japanese pit stop - tonkatsu, instant curry, soba/udon, ramen. They slapped on the Nasu name but they didn't really try besides that.

Lots of omiyage, gas station, snack bar and restaurant. Hot and cold drink vending machines available. Most importantly, clean and abundant restrooms.

Great for the kids, especially in the summer. A man-made stream runs thru it, great for toddler and young kids to wade in. Be sure to bring river shoes, as the bed is stones, and hard to walk on. Very shallow. There is a water fountain, but no shade. The water running thru the stream is from the Tama River and it is very clean at the top and start of the stream.

One of the fanciest stops I have seen on the Tohoku expressway! Luxurious atmosphere and huge choice of unique (and often expensive) souvenirs. Well worth a stop!

Nice place. Has a food court, a restaurant and a tourist information center. It also has a convenience store and many vending machines. The toilets are spacious and clean. There is also a smoking area around the corner.

It's a good rest stop for your first stop on the expressway from Koriyama City to Edo. The restrooms🚻 are clean, the food court is spacious, you can drink cold water and tea freely... there is a smoking room on the outskirts, and there are Nasu souvenirs and stalls, nothing to write home about, but it's really exactly 75 points. I'm about SA.

My favorite SA restaurant is a restaurant directly managed by a farm. Whenever I stop by, I always eat too much❣
