This hotel is comparatively well priced for what it offers. The facilities are luxurious and classy, and the common areas are welcoming, comfortable and spacious. A restaurant reminiscent of an upmarket Irish pub is available on the premises which is worth a visit. The rooms are clean, comfortable and tidy.

I visited this establishment during a particularly challenging period of signal issues. The hotel is renowned for its high-speed fiber internet, which came highly recommended for its robust connectivity. The staff were exceptionally helpful and attentive to my needs. The café had an impressive array of coffee and beverage choices. The walls were adorned with a multitude of accolades, including recognition from TripAdvisor, Eat Out, and Dinner's Club. The wine list was extensive and impressive, and the menu offered a diverse selection of dishes. The staff were remarkably efficient, seamlessly assisting each other's tables. I decided to try their waffle with homemade peanut butter ice cream, and it not only looked beautifully presented but was also incredibly delicious. I wholeheartedly recommend this venue to visiting guests, for special occasions, and as an ideal spot for remote work with reliable Wi-Fi. Well done to everyone involved in making this experience exceptional.

We loved this hotel in Port Alfred. You could see that there is a thought behind everything. The rooms are big and very comfortable, all amenities provided. Spotlessly cleaned every day. Breakfast is exceptional with so many hot/cold dishes to choose from. The staff is excellent and always willing to do the extra mile for the guest. The location is very good, 900 meters from the beach and close to everything else. We highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful vacation in this area.

We had a really wonderful overnight stay in Port Alfred at this gorgeous hotel. It’s close to beautiful beaches so early the next morning before a love breakfast and complimentary champagne, we had a lovely swim on Kelly’s beach!! The night before we enjoyed dinner at the pub so we’re definitely keen to come back and spend a few more days in Port Alfred!! Loved it! The coffe place on the way out called The Bakery was awesome too!! #portalfred

A great hotel, super friendly staff, a little English style pub and a lovely restaurant with fantastic food. A breakfast room with the same high quality food. The rooms are spacious and clean. This hotel is a must, great value for money and an easy access location!

Our stay at the Royal St. Andrews Hotel over the Christmas holidays was truly exceptional. Despite the busy season, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism that instantly made us feel relaxed and welcome. The staff, led by the general manager, Difford, went above and beyond to ensure our holiday stay was special. The housekeeping service, particularly by Bonnie, was outstanding. Our room was impeccably maintained each day, providing a serene and spotless haven to return to amidst the festive hustle. Bonnie’s attention to detail and dedication significantly enhanced our comfort during the stay. The hotel staff are notably perceptive and attentive to guests’ needs. A delightful example of this was when I mentioned my fondness for the pickled fish; to our pleasant surprise, it was delivered to our room on two separate occasions. This thoughtful gesture exemplified the staff’s understanding of the importance of small touches in creating a memorable experience. The hotel’s ability to create a peaceful atmosphere during one of the busiest times of the year was impressive. The blend of festive charm and modern amenities ensured our stay was both delightful and relaxing. The festive decorations and ambience added to the joy of our holiday, making it a Christmas to remember. In conclusion, our Christmas holiday at the Royal St. Andrews Hotel was memorable for all the right reasons. The team, especially Difford and Bonnie, played a pivotal role in making our stay enjoyable and stress-free. Their exceptional service is a significant asset to Port Alfred’s tourism. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a warm and relaxing holiday experience.

For a business hotel, or if you are playing golf this is perfect. For a family looking to walk into town this is not for you. Town is a long walk away and not a lot in town to do. There are some local cafes which u do recommend plus the pub (although dated) has nice food and great service. The main restaurant is fine but no commutation between reception and the restaurant as it wasn't what we were told it would he like. Pool is a massive disappointment. No drinks allowed in the pool. Overall, not for us. Not for families.

Room is very spacious, practical and beautifull. The food is good. What I loved most was the constant availability of fruit.

The hotel has many sustainability design features such as inner green space and vertical hydroponic gardens for enhanced and clean ambient air quality. As well as large inner daylight spaces and occupancy-linked control switch in the rooms for increased energy efficiency and management, reducing scope 2 GHG emissions. Nice for family vacation

The buffet breakfast is the best breakfast in town!!! The staff is very friendly, the manager always makes rounds to ensure you are completely satisfied. The fruits they offer with the breakfast is so good! Its like they import them from heaven.

Check in was a breeze.....lovely room. Some of the furniture pieces need to be refurbished before it really gets tatty. Headboard had gash in it, chair at desk needs to be re upholsted. Bed was comfortable....got a good night's sleep.

When you read thier reviews it's almost unreal... But they certainly are as they say; warm friendly welcome, from the gentle brother in the parking, to the reception lady and ushers who escorted us to our rooms. Lovely overall language; fusion of English victorian/Edwardian similar style... delicately preserved facade ... and delicious food. Its great to see in person a space as depicted digitally...and have a memorable experience.

This is the best hotel, it exceeded my expectations. Friendly honest staff, we left an item during breakfast and it was returned to our room. Their spa wellness area is superb, their care and lovely gesture for the guests is amazing. Big ups to Zozo who was always making ways to assist with rescheduling our spa bookings when we had delays. The hotel is very clean and offer nice breakfast. The hospitality was beyond explanation, big ups to all the staff :)

So disappointed today, was looking forward to our meal here as we'd had a gorgeous meal in the past. Staff were miserable, food was heavily over seasoned, it was like someone was let loose on the herb and spices larder. Such a shame, standards have dropped. Toilet door in the rest room was covered in dirt.

We had an amazing stay with my friends. We had booked for 2 nights on rooms 23 & 24, the rooms were interconnected so we could easily open and be with each other whenever we wanted to without necessarily going out the main door. Also, the location is in a convenient place, very close to the beach, massage therapy and the retail shops. On top of that, the staff made us feel very welcome. you really get what you pay for at Royal St Andrews Hotel. I’ll definitely recommend this place!
