I unexpectedly got our lunch from them today Packaging is really superb good portion taste was good value for money I directly ordered them and pickup it’s really worth Food Have to try their other menu s also for my experience i highly recommended them for the lunch

There was no AC upstairs. But the place was superb. Food was delicious as well. Limited parking.

The latest addition to a host of Gourmet eateries down Hill Street which is to become the Food Street of Sri Lanka. Okra's Fried Rice takeaway was served in a fabulous Clay pot which we are using as an add-in to our kitchen utensils n for the price of a Fried Rice it was worthwhile The Fried Rice tasted fab n 2 managed to eat it as I am normally a small quantity eater n most of all the service was superb. The chat with the owner was very friendly too. Keep up ur great stuff Okra.❤️

I was walking up Hill Street Dehiwala at around 5.30 pm, when I got a delicious smell. I stopped walking, retraced my steps and found out that the delicious aroma was emanating from Okra Kitchen. So, I went inside. It is a nice longish cafe or restaurant, now it is fashionable to call it a Kitchen. It looked spacious and airy. There were a few tables unoccupied (except for the Manager) The staff though they seemed to be busy preparing for the food etc for the night they were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately none of the dishes were available as they were being prepared. When I told my purpose was to take photographs to upload to Google Maps they showed me their Menu Cards. Obviously they had quite a range of spicy foods, for the Sri Lankan Pallette. I was intrigued that they had named 'Devil Fried Rice' as 'Yakka Fried Rice' Nice local touch. The menu, the setting, the courteous staff etc. gave me the impression that service, food, hygiene, freshness, variety etc. were all of a high standard. The staff projected confidence and pride that could only come of a well loved 'Kitchen' I hope to buy dinner from this place one day, but I did think the prices were a bit high! (I am actually referring to my pocket!) I wish Okra Kitchen all the very best.

The food was worth the price and very flavorful. Serving in pots was eco-friendly. Delivery was also scheduled as per the request and was on time. Small suggestion to improve is that if more curry can be added to the Yaka rice or maybe do double layers, it will be better. For Biriyani the only way out is doing a layer in the middle. But, overall the family enjoyed the dinner.

Had the YAKA chicken fried rice for two - takeaway! Portion was big, and there was sufficient and even more chicken that we could have asked for! Taste was really good, with devilled onions and capsicum to top it off! Loved this dish. Highly recommend it.

I’m seriously disappointed with the dire food quality, the food I bought was pricey, also lacked most of the main ingredients which was the most upsetting part of it. I ordered for a chicken fried rice but It was almost a plain rice, there was no chili paste. Rice was bland, and chicken was stale. Honestly, I got deceived by the food packaging, later had to face the reality when I took an actual look at inside. We expect high quality food, your free clay pot isn’t gonna impress us. I don’t recommend this place.

I visited today looks good but the service is not good. I order two yaka fried rice with chicken he took the order and forgot. I reminded him after 10 mts only he started to process the order. The chef prepared with 5 mts minimum vegetables not even you can see and chicken not done properly half cooked . When I asked he said it Roasted chicken I saw into my own eyes while preparing how is did not to the standard. The owner please look into to this if not you will loose business my opinion. Customer s feedback.

Food tastes pretty good. Pricing is reasonable too.

If you're looking for an authentic Sri Lankan food experience, try this joint. Specialties include Kaha Baath and mutton kottu. Also the yaka rice is really hot and spicy, give it a go if you're really adventurous They deliver too!!!

Good approach for recycle containers. They are packing good in clay pots for their take away orders. Open kitchen concept with friendly staff. Classic interiors.

The worst of all service. Ordered pot biriyani for 1700 with delivery 1800 and sent it through a small lunch packet. So what's the point in ordering pot biriyani. When I called to ask about it the guy just hung up. Worst of all

The waitstaff at Okra Kitchen By Ravi & Sepali Restaurant demonstrated exceptional professionalism and attentiveness. They were knowledgeable about the menu and took the time to explain each dish in detail, making recommendations based on my view. But customer waiting for long too period take out order item.

Great friendly staff, delicious food made with real spices, clean and tidy always and deliver freshly prepared food instantly, which gives me no second thoughts to enjoy a meal from here,

They were very good in the beginning. Possibly due to change of cook no proper taste. Also their fish curry is horrible as those fish always been cool inside and no taste at all.

Ordered a prawn yaka fried rice… the prawns are rotten… it is like a sponge when we touch it… very bad quality… when taking orders in the night, be careful… they are using old rotten items…. Disappointed with this restaurant…. I was a fan of this when they started small… now since they have grown big and cooking in large quantities, they have saturated paying with customers’ health with damaged food…. Never ordering here…

I like the place. They have different tasty dishes. Quick service. Parking available. You can dine or take away or order through uber. Try it 👍

Biriyani is very Tasty but too oily.

Very fresh and tasty rice and curry. Perfect amount of spice for my taste. Nice village flavor brought from the clay pots.

The food was good but don't expect to dine there. There place isn't properly air conditioned and the service is very very slow. Took them 45 minutes to pack 4 packets of food. The food was already cooked and laid out...

Good food, parking available. However suggest to stick with the local (Sri Lankan) foods. Much better then the biriyanis or lumprais.

Okra is all about the outer appearance, the packaging and all sort things are really nice BUT.... the food isn't good at all. Good for people who don't have taste buds..

Recently went there around 9 p.m and staff started putting on the mask as I entered into the restaurant. Ordered a kottu and some other items for take-away. They didn't ask me to sit there as I had to wait for more than 20 minutes despite there was no one there for dining. For all these reasons, I thought of not going there again but may order online. Giving 3 stars for the taste of food and packaging used

Good food, but very long prep time. With ample workers in the kitchen, should have made efficient processes.
