Nice quiet neighborhood. A little remote but if you can deal with the occasional sandpeople raids, it can be relaxing to sit back and watch the suns set. Droids are super cheap and the local cantinas serve the *best* blue milk you've ever had. Convenient shopping (10 minutes from Tosche Station by landspeeder—5 if you have one of those new XP-38s) and easy access to downtown Mos Eisley make this one of the more desirable locations around.

Great little place to visit if youre in the area. Lars homestead is visible from the road but only barely. Is about a half hr walk. Nothing else in the area exept for salt, mud and emptyness. Its possible to pitch a tent inside the homestead, but you are sharing the place with at least one rodent of unknown size, leave him some breadcrumbs. Great place for watching the sunset.

So cool to see this! Some of the photos are are a little misleading. This location only has a single small building (dome-like with 3 entrances). It’s not that easy to get to without being shown. You have to look careful from the road to spot a small building in the distance. We parked along the road and walked approx 2.5km across the salt lake which took about 25mins. We did see car tracks but wasn’t sure out small hire car cold handle the terrain. Be careful of walking though, the wind picked up very quickly and it turned into mini sand/salt storm reducing visibility to 100m.

Very interesting for all Star Wars fans, the exterior entrance set to the home of Luke Skywalker's Uncle Owen and Aunt Peru, still in good condition after so many years, far off the beaten track in the middle of nowhere, so bleak and desolate.

The homestead and the landing pad are starting to show signs of ageing now. We visited as the sun was setting and were able to replicate the scene with the two moons.

Best Star Wars site I’ve been to. This was a new one for me. It’s just the small dome out in the desert. There are no vendors or other people. Very quiet and peaceful out on the chott.

GO HERE! Very little-visited. I was the only one there for sunset. Gotta do some freestyle driving via GPS coordinates, but so worth it. Exit the road by the only farmstead nearby, 2 miles in or so? Don't stop...muddy salt flats for a bit. Once out there, scream. Sound doesn't carry out there ...perfect for filming? Can whip some "shitties/donuts" in your car. No sweating because it's so dry out there. Check out the other nearby Star Wars sites, like the Sand People Canyon.

The Force is strong here. A pilgrimage for all Jedi Masters. 30 minute walk from the road under the blazing suns of Tatooine (go early morning or near sunset). Carry water, wear sunscreen and hats.

1h Walk there and back again. Take enough water, sun screen or appropriate clothing. We started at 6 pm and the temperature was still very hot. After sunset 7:30pm it was okay. Best visit perhaps during wintertime. Great and stunning place! Protect and preserve it!
