Perfect to have a meal and chill with a cup a tea. Went there a few times. The club sandwiches were great and very filling, the vegetable pasta wasn’t what I expected but still delicious. It was just vegetables and creamy sauce, there was no actual pasta 🍝😲 The staff was great and spoke English. The sofa was cloud like soft! Super refreshing and totally worth the price.

Ambience is great, chill and comfortable. Food is ok, the creamy chicken pasta could of better if marinated longer in time and have a smoother texture.

And also most importantly, if you guys are looking for a place to work or study even for few hours, you can get it reserved. It’s in upstairs. They charge 2000 for an hour. The best cafe in Negombo! Good coffee!!! Their sausage pastry and the fish patties were so good. The high tea platter for two people is very worthy for the price. The blueberry milkshake and pink lush are the signature drinks.

I really liked the interior design and lights. The hot chocolate and the Iced Lemon Green tea were nice. Very nice customer service and clean tables. Reasonable prices and there are lots of varieties. I will visit here again for sure to try other dishes and beverages.

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Grand Gastrobar. Iced Passionfruit tea was delicious and not too sweet! Rs. 400 We also got a little bread basket with 3 little pieces of bread..they were still warm and crusty and delicious. The club sandwich we ordered was filling and delicious. Not too many thick chips though..but priced at Rs.700 it was well worth it! The Beef Lasagna (Rs.1100) was a very generous portion and smothered in parmesan. Absolutely delicious and still steaming from the oven. For dessert we had the delicious and light strawberry gateux cake (Rs.380) Taking home a bag full of fish patties (Rs. 70) and fish buns (Rs.80)

The moment you steped inside you will get the smell of coffee and it will increase your appetite. I love their cake and their milkshakes are good too. Creamy chicken pasta we had was also really tasty and so creamy. Nice place for a friends hangout as well as for a couples date.

Easily one of the best cafe's in Negombo. It's a great place to have some quality time with your friends and it does give out that coffee shop vibe we see in TV. But the prices are relatively higher compared to the Grand Coffee Drive, and the food although not bad can be better for the price they charge. Still it's one of the most photogenic and great places to go.

So many great things about this place! Aside the delicious food and drinks, there is an upstair study room where you can chill/ study/ read with your laptops or whatever. The ambience is perfect for any kinda mood. Specially you can either listen to the songs playing in the room or turn them off if its disturbing. What I would recommend is just go there once and see for yourself..

We usually visit this place on Fridays. We really liked the atmosphere with beautiful interior design and lights. The verities of cakes and other pastries are nicely done and , well presented and tasty. Very nice customer service and clean tables. Reasonable prices and there are lots of varieties. I will visit here again for sure to try other dishes and beverages.

So I went to The Grand Gastrobar because I came from Colombo for my personal work. I had to stay there from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. To be honest, I asked one of the stewards if it was okay to order meals and stuff for the morning, lunch, and evening if I stayed there until 4:00 pm. He told me, "No, sir, we can't reserve this area for that long." Even when I inquired about ordering items, he mentioned building payments and rentals, suggesting it was fine, sir, if I ordered something every hour. I can't say that all the staff is bad due to this interaction, but it's not great customer service. If a customer asks and places orders for morning, lunch, and evening, including tea, it means they are willing to spend a reasonable amount of money. They should welcome such requests. I didn't ask to stay there until 4:00 pm just for a single coffee. It's disappointing, and I don't want to post that person's photo. Even after this encounter, I didn't want to stay there. The place is really calm. I would advise even IT engineers not to visit this place for an extended period. The steward told me there is a study area for one hour, charging Rs: 2000. You can imagine the guy's attitude. If they had warmly welcomed me, I would have stayed and spent money without any issues. Due to their response, I chose to go to Lace Cafe instead. When I called them and asked if I could order things and stay until 4:00 pm, they simply said, "Yes, sir, sure, you can stay. No worries." That's the attitude you should have when doing business. There should be a proper way, and only then will customers recommend your place. I want to bring this to the attention of the management as well. Please don't let the reputation of your place be affected by the behavior of one individual. I know it's not the owner's fault, but one person's actions can impact your business.

The new Grand. We all know the taste behind the name. It's the same. And this place is more roomy and elegant with wide varieties of drinks including fresh juices. Opens till 9pm. More relaxing place.

The staff also very friendly, supportive and excellent service. There are while different type of food categories and drinks to try. Great place. I believe this is from the same chain as the grand cafe in Negombo. Staff was good and gave a separate room for the 8 of us. There are 2 rooms upstairs and probably can be reserved for events. There is an AC and non AC section based on your preference. Cakes were delicious. Enough parking for about 10 vehicles and more on the road as well.

The Grand never disappoints.

The food was mega. Some of the best I've had on the island. The restoration is beautiful, leather sofas, romantic music. Standard higher than in most European restaurants. Nilan from the service was very helpful and kind, the service was top notch. Toilet very clean and fragrant.

This is located in Negombo city limits. If you are coming from Colombo to Chilaw side, this is located on to your right hand side (Land side) just before the Thelwatta junction and just after Toyota Lanka Negombo branch. The grand got farmers for their cakes 🎂 🍰. It’s a nice place for dine in too. Very calm and quite place to rest the way you need.

Great place to chill with friends. AC environment, and if you don't like that they have a well shaded outside garden. The food is fresh and tasty at a reasonable price, they have a full range of coffee's and iced drinks. Fresh cake goes down a treat for desert or just a snack for a sweet tooth. A great experience with good experienced team to make you comfortable without being overbearing.. Well recommended.

The cakes are very delicious, the cappuccinos we got are also delicious, the interior is really nice and quiet. There is also a good parking space.

We stopped at the Grand Gastrobar for a quick lunch and both ordered a burger and iced tea green. The fries were crispy and the burger was really tasty! Also, they have great coffees! Prince was our waiter and he was really friendly. I would recommend this place!

One amazing cafe to go with friends or family or even to take your foreign guests. I have known their first branch, the Grand Cafe in Katuneriya since it opened up over twenty years ago. Grand Gastrobar is nicely done up, and lot of comfortable seating space on two floors. The tea and the selection of coffee is great and maintains the same high standard that we expect from them. Of course there are many other cold beverages too. The selection of cakes and sweet pastries is delicious too. You can order ahead if one needs specific cakes for take away. The staff are well trained and quite helpful. Not so much of parking space, so might have to park on the road side. The prices are not for the common man, but then again, this quality of food and a place like that, its worth it.

We tried chicken breast and chicken lasagna and it was fantastic. Very good service with friendly and professional staff. Kind, friendly and assistive staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Has a smoking lounge - no smoke escapes into the inside of the cafe. The interior ambience. Has bean bags and Comfy chairs Cons: Opening and closing Doors can get a bit confusing as there is no handle or indication as to which side of the door to push. Went there on a rainy day, so the lighting wasn’t that great. Smoking lounge is totally visible to the ground floor and partially visible to the first floor.

Awesome location. The interior is spot on although there are some places where it could be better. The staff is friendly and committed. Ample of space ground stairs and well as upstairs. More than 5 partitions, each one having a different vibe. Outdoor seating available as well (some bean bags too!!). Food was good and so we're the beverages. A minor set back was there when they sent us the wrong drink (not the one we ordered). But they soon recitifed it when we notified them. They offer a range of food, from short eats to burgers to pastas. A whole lot of cold and hot beverages available as well. Would not hesitate to recommend this place for hanging out, a meeting, family outing etc. BTW food prices were reasonable for the quality as well.

I always loved the Grand cafe for their food and atmosphere. And with the Grand Gastrobar they have raised their bar up high in the sky. It's a nice place to have a coffee and chill out. They have bean bags on the upper floor and few seperate areas if you're going in as a group. It's very spacious and calming. Definitely try the soul burger. I recently organized my dad's birthday dinner there for 15 people and their service was excellent! Additionally They gave appetizers and alot more and even a surprise for my dad!! Would recommend 6/5

A good range of delicious options for breakfast. I have tried the fish patty and the grilled pork sandwich in wholemeal bread. Both were delicious and we'll priced. The ambiance is inviting too, I enjoyed the dark, coffee brown tone to the whole thing. The plan is to try some new snack or sandwich or dessert every time I stop by.
