👍👍 Update: highly recommend getting tickets to the next extra special movie event. Just went to the Barbie one and it was over the top, perfect just like Barbie! Well planned, lots of enthusiastic volunteers, and prizes, most people came in costume, and alcohol available if desired. Beautiful theatre... People often mention movie, theatre, great,

Just a regular movie theatre, seats are old and worn. It's a place to watch movie and pay too much for snacks. If you want to buy tickets in advance you have to pay extra. And to kick you when you're down, when I was there the men's bathroom was disgusting and there was only ONE working toilet for the whole theatre. No working urinals, just one toilet. You pay too much to get so little. I'd rather drive to Castlegar then watch movie here.

Update: highly recommend getting tickets to the next extra special movie event. Just went to the Barbie one and it was over the top, perfect just like Barbie! Well planned, lots of enthusiastic volunteers, and prizes, most people came in costume, and alcohol available if desired. Beautiful theatre with updated, comfortable seating and excellent popcorn with plenty of options for toppings. Not sure how to check upcoming movies further than the current week - just keep checking the website? Tickets can be purchased online ahead of time.

Awesome cinema! The nutritional yeast on the popcorn is a classic nelson movie experience. The staff are wonderful and the theatre has a great small town vibe

Very disappointed with the last show. I payed $32 to read subtitles. As a South Indian it was much waited movie and exciting to be watched in TAMIL. it was absolutely depressing to hear that the hindi version of the movie was playing instead what was advertised. I forced to watch the movie since the tickets were nonrefundable. I feel bad for people who brought their kids in, it is too much to ask a 7year old to watch something in an unfamiliar language along with reading the subtitles. And not all Indians speak or understand hindi, although i really appreciate the fact that there was a hindi version played on Sunday for people who understands Hindi. I hope civic theatre would either refund our money or offer a free pass for the next movie. I wish I could soon change my reviews about the theatre

Great old fashioned theatre feel with new sound system, screen and chairs. The seats are so comfortable! The concession has a good selection but is pricey (however I feel like that its within the normal price range for theaters these days). Also have a nice variety of movies offered their between independ films and big box office films.

UPDATE: while still a good theater they have switched format to less blockbuster style films. so if you are seeking something like the new transformers you might need to go to Castlegar It was an overall great experience though the lines for entry and snacks were long regardless if you purchase your tickets online and pay the fees you still stand in line the same so there's no real benefits everything else is great seat's sound screen all great

seats are small, arms rests are not moveable, with mediocre leg room. with it costing more than other cinemas you'd at least make it comfortable. not to mention you cant reserve seating if you pay in advance, which also cost more to do....
