A cafe and a bookshop combined. What a cool idea! We recently enjoyed a lovely late breakfast there. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Anita loved the coffee and appreciated the refills. I enjoyed cruising the bookshelves as we waited for our food to arrive. Our meals (meat lover's benny and two egg omelette) were delicious and there was so much on the menu to choose from.

It was our first day in Nelson after moving from five hours away. We had a busy morning and wanted a nice brunch, and the Vienna cafe caught our attention on Google maps. We walked in and were delighted to see everyone laughing and eating and having a good time. Our sandwiches were delicious and the server felt like a friend. We'll be going back for sure, for our first cafe experience in Nelson, it set the bar high.

Great little funky resturant with a bookstore attached. Service was good. I found prices a bit high tbh..i paid $50 for 2 people for breakfast ( I never did see the bill; so not sure what cost so much. We just had simple breakfasts with coffee. I paid at the till.) but it was a cute stop and their were kids playing in play area..people reading books. The place very much had the feeling of Nelson. It was a cute little stop.

Really friendly staff and owner. Weekend Benny's are a must! Had the salmon benny and the daily special benny. Sweet crepe wasn't really my taste, but still nice.

Cute little breakfast place. Sat on the patio and the young server was friendly and attentive. I got the meat eggs benny and the salad I opted for the green goddess dressing which was amazing. Nice little spot.

An all day breakfast cafe, with a used bookstore attached. Excellent breakfast, eggs, bacon, oven roast potatoes, and house made blackberry jam for the toast. Friendly server and staff. Good coffee with refills. Definitely worth the visit.

Terrible, extremely slow service every time. Waitress laughed about being too busy to serve people water. Foods ok, very cold today because they’re understaffed and over full. If you don’t mind waiting forever. Getting no water. And getting a flash show of a bare bum every time the sever bends over. Didn’t know I was a strip club. If you’re understaffed and unable to tend to as many tables as you have. Maybe fewer tables at a time in the future. So people can have water with their meal….

This establishment deserves the Golden Globe award as the Best all around eatery in the West Kootenays... Thank you for an unforgettable experience that is worth sharing with the world...

Excellent food in a fun atmosphere! Try the vegan waffles with the avocado, it's a surprisingly tasty pairing, and the veggie sandwich was good too.

Food is excellent, service wonderful and we sat outside on the patio. Beautiful.

Cute little cafe in the middle of a used bookstore. Food was delicious and prices were reasonable. A bit inconsistent with back of house staff coming out and not wearing masks though.

Really yummy, cool that it is attached to a tiny bookstore. They were super busy so it was nice to look around while we waited. The waitresses were very nice and good at what they do.. however their ‘shirts’ were pretty revealing and not what I’d expect from a cafe environment.. more like going to a club—halter tops and bralettes as shirts. But again, they were sweet and provided great customer service. Just not appropriately dressed.

Located in a bookstore, this cafe has delicious breakfast and brunch offerings, including great coffee. Note that when the weather's nice, there's also outdoor patio seating. The spätzle dishes were flavorful and filling, and the drip coffee was flavorful, fresh, and balanced (refills are available). Staff are friendly and attentive. Definitely one of the better establishments in Nelson.
