Staff is great,I always enjoy the young busing staff students that serve the food responsible, polite, kind ,engaging and enjoy their job very refreshing. The Hume,Mike's place is a gem and a must visit when in Nelson. Waiting for drinks,waiting for bill,waiting for table clean,finally moved dirty dishes to a chair for pick up,dinky red wine glasses to go with our $60 dollar bottle,a little more attention on the job at hand would bring back the level of service which Mike's place normally has. Unfortunately it impossible not to hear staff talk , as its loud and proud. The tip reflects service.😴 Busing food staff was great again. Left after enough gossip and waiting finally went to the bar to pay my $115 dollar bill.had to wait once again for broken freeze interac.Staff admitted happens regularly to one machine (fix it) Went to Finlleys where the service was excellent as was some great live music.

The borscht was excellent. The Poutine was pretty good. Prices are high. $10 beers. $9 wines. They charged $1.25 to bring a bottle of hot sauce to the table. We used two drops. Two Drops. We're probably not returning.

English style pub with an incredible authentic feel. It has great atmosphere and decor. The staff are all top notch professionals who will take the time to chat with you and seem like really nice people.

Nice pool tables and shuffle board. Good nachos that came with the sour cream and salsa in dipping bowls MADE OUT OF CHIP!!!!!!!Never seen that before so that's cool.All bowls should be made out of CHIP!!!

Pretty good pub with good food, reasonable prices and great atmosphere. We had some issues with our order and despite the waitress assuring she would make it up for the missing item on the bill, she didn't and it left a bit of a sour aftertaste. Otherwise, I would recommend this place if you're looking for greasy food and good drinks

We were in Nelson for two days visiting from the Okanagan. We had been struggling to find a pub that made us feel really welcome and relaxed when we stumbled on Mike’s. Such a welcoming staff, friendly and engaging, solid English pub food, and we ended up staying for a couple hours playing backgammon and enjoying our time. Cannot recommend enough!

You walk in, and you think typical pub food is all that will be available. I was proved wrong! The food was amazing and the service was great as well. I had the lamb and it was so tender. They are doing great things here. The only downside was the bathroom, which needs a few repairs or a good makeover.

So the lady down the bar, a regular, ordered a Club House as a SALAD. It looked so good I had to have one too. Chef wasn't happy, but he knocked it out of the park anyway.

Absolutely the best service we’ve had in a long time, and our meals were beyond exceptional! We luckily came upon Mike’s on their Prime Rib night and they once again did not disappoint with a fantastic cut and cooked to absolutely perfection. Their Prime Rib was better than we recently experienced at Smith & Wolensky’s in New York.

Really cool feel to this pub. Welcoming with the A/C blasting on a hot day. The pub is multi level set up with pool tables, darts and foosball tables to play. I had the french onion soup and veal chops. The french onion soup is fantastic and very cheesy, the garlic baguette in it is very good. Veal chops were really nice served with mash and veggies. Overall would recommend.

Beautiful pub in one of Nelson's many fabulous old buildings. The woodwork and decor inside give it a warm and friendly vibe. All of that along with great food and friendly attentive staff make this a favorite of mine when I'm in Nelson.

Classic classic Nelson spot. Always a cozy vibe in the Mike's place, the library has live jazz music, and the food is great. A must stop place if you are visiting Nelson, and if you live here, I'm sure you already know!

Very good vibes pub! We ordered two cocktails It was amazing! -Margaritas -Almond and whisky cocktails Also have some pool tables ($2)and mini curling table to enjoy with!

Lots of games to choose from, very original reminds me of bars from back home. Good service and lots to choose from. I can't remember if the had happy hour though.

We were happy to hear that they had three IPAs on tap and gave us a taster before we made our minds up. Spacious inside. Decent chicken wings and the burger fresh and tasty.

Very nice establishment and the food was good. A major issue we had here was the service. Went in on a Tuesday night and the place was maybe 1/4 full. The waitress we had was just terrible with not only her service but also her terrible attitude. There were 4 tables in the area I sat in that she was waiting on and even with 4 tables she either couldn't keep up or was too busy in the back doing something else as it took roughly 20 minutes if not more to get a drink. All the tables around us too kept looking around for the waitress as she was nowhere to be found. We ended up having to go to the bar to get service and even the bartender seemed to not know what was going on. With so many places to eat/drink in Nelson, one should definitely pass on this place.

Decent pub. As expected. Service is ok. Pizza is ok. This place is enjoyable. I'd come back, but in Nelson, where there are lots of fantastic food options, there are many other choices.

Absolutely great bar. The bar is very clean and sanitized, the waiters and staff were so friendly. Drinks were kinda pricey but well worth it. Must check it out if you're in the area and need a drink n sum great bar food.

This place is an must visit if you are in Nelson!! There is no way you could possibly be dissapointed. We were in Nelson for 4 nights and wanted to try a selection of places but after our first meal here we just couldn't get past it!! The selection has something for literally everyone. Every items was a 10/10 homemade tasty food. Portions were very satifying and the quality was of the charts. Bravo!! to Mikes Pub. The staff and service was extremely wonderful. We did take out a few times and this was the most easiest take out service I have ever experienced as well. The lady taking our order was so polite, professional and on the ball. She double checked our order before putting it in. Each time our order came with absolutely everything. Thank you!! It would be worth a trip to Nelson just to experience this perfection again. When eating out for 4 to 5 days you get wanting healthy food, here the salad was delicious fresh and crispy. The pasta was clearly homemade from actual scratch, fish was halibut, veal was tender and delicious.

Great service, drinks and food came out quick and were absolutely delicious 😋
