Tourist attraction Rail museum

👍👍 Born & raised in the Kootenays, I had no idea riding the streetcar was even a “thing”! It was a lovely day when we rode from the Prestige Lakeside station through Lakeside Park and back again. I think it’s a wonderful touristy thing to do and I’m glad they’ve brought it back. A very cheap way to... People often mention Nelson, ride, streetcar, history,

A sweet little train that travels along a scenic park and beautiful Lake. The conductor and the helper were extra sweet to the children that came on board, letting them ring the bell and giving them chocolates it was a fun little ride and a great way to see the beauty that Nelson has to offer. I would highly recomend this little train ride. It was fun, educational and sweet.

A fun tourist destination in Nelson. The streetcar actually went a lot faster than I had expected. The operators were also very friendly and answered all of our questions in a very sophisticated manner. The ride is an approximately 30 minutes round-trip.

If stepping back in time to a less hectic world is what you'd like to experience, this is the venue for you. Set in the lush green mountainside is historic Nelson, once destined to be the capitol city of British Columbia . It was the first city west of Winnipeg to have a streetcar system and today sees its restored streetcar # 23 back in service along Nelson's waterfront. Well worth the trip, Nelson boasts many historic venues and amenities for young and old. Take time to step back in time.

Don’t miss this unique, volunteer run project. It is a wonderful little ride along the beautiful Nelson waterfront park. The volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable about the workings and history of the trolly. It’s a great outing for the entire family.

Love everything about this streetcar - brings you back 100 years ago in Nelson city. The elderly staff on the train are super friendly and approachble. If you are visiting Nelson, you must take this streetcar. It takes you to the City Park which is the jewel in the city. The fare is by donation.

It was fun to take a relaxing ride on a 1906 Streetcar along Nelson’s Lakeside. Tickets are by donations and you can take as many rides you want after that. The museum is free entrance and have real good stuff that still in use now-days by the volunteers to maintain the rail ways
