Two stars is pushing it. The front desk lady was very nice, but unfortunately overworked as I waited over 30 minutes to check in. This hotel by no means deserves the name "prestige". I was later lied to about pricing through other staff at the sister hotel when I found out the train practically goes through your hotel room being so close, and inquired about changing the room. No dice. Out of the hotels control is understandable with the train, but this should be communicated to anyone prior to booking. My toddler could not wear the ear plugs provided for guests for the intense wakening it creates at night. It didn't matter in the end anyways as our mold infested wall mounted AC unit was so loud it kept us up most of the evening anyhow. Parking was an embarrassment, not everyone drives smart cars, and the layout of this hotel is ridiculous. Don't come here if you have a bigger vehicle or any amount of luggage, it's a true pain. I went to the "lobby" to get a real coffee with real cream just to find out the hotel won't even provide creamers there either (just coffee whitener). For such a "prestige" hotel I'd expect at-least a creamer. I've stayed at other Prestige hotels and have been very satisfied. This one was from it, disappointing.

Stayed here recently over the May Long weekend and wasn’t disappointed. The room had everything we needed, a really nice TV and a really nice view! You’re able to use the pool/hot tub/gym amenities at the other property down the road, which was a big plus. For the value, (about a $30 difference per night) I’d rather stay at the other property, but our only downside here was our cutlery was not clean when we went to use it, and the kitchen isn’t super well equipped, but if you’re on vacation you probably won’t care like we did.

The hotel is currently under renovation - June 2022. Upon arrival I was informed I would not be able to use my balcony. Came out of the bathroom in the morning to find a worker on the balcony - didn’t appreciate the intrusion or feel very safe. Tried to offer a discount but couldn’t because I used a booking site. Verify renovations are complete before booking!

The room was so clean and nice! Bed was super cozy!! The lobby is big and bright 🌞 the staff at the front counter are super friendly 👌 I really loved walking around the downtown area which is super close to the hotel. Definitely an enjoyable stay.

The Inn is next to train tracks but we stayed for two nights and the train passed once in the night, for about 5 minutes. The room was very comfortable. Also guests of the Inn can use the pool at the Prestige Resort not far away. One thing I could say - the chairs in the kitchenette area should have felt on their feet. We accidentally dragged the chairs a few times and it was quite noisy, almost of the noise we heard from the room above was the chairs moving. All in all quite a pleasant stay.

It was really cold in our room when we arrived.. and it took a really long time to warm up.. Great location except the fact that its right next to the highway so it's super loud.. the train doesn't help other than that It was good. Most of the noise came from the a/c unit.. you could hear people talking.. if those units got removed for the winter the rooms would be much quieter.

Terrible parking.. rooms are not very clean.. lack of knowledge and terrible service from the front desk staff, they don’t answer the phones and are hard to find even when you go into the lobby.. no closets in rooms.. no irons.. definitely more worth it to stay at the resort as you end up using their ammenities anyway. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location. I was expecting a lot more out of my “relaxing” weekend stay.

This beautiful hotel is easy to locate, and not far from downtown Nelson. Our room was cozy, and had a great view of Kootenay Lake and the Selkirk Mountains. The front desk team was super friendly, and checking in was quick.

Stayed at this hotel for a couple nights whilst visiting Nelson. For the price, it is quite ideally located just a 5 to 10 minute walk from downtown Nelson. Most if not all the rooms, have a view of the lake and the mountains, which I thought was quite a nice design of the hotel. CARPARK! Just remember if you have a small vehicle, you can park at the front of the hotel, and if you’ve got a bigger vehicle, you can park round the back which has bigger spaces. I don’t think many of the guest knew that, but once I found out that was ideal. The rooms itself are nice and clean and modern including a big TV. However, the walls are quite thin so you can hear all the TVs from other rooms and guests walking by the room. They do supply earbuds, but some may not sleep well with those. With the addition, there is a train goes past in the late evening which will wake early sleepers.

We stayed in the African suite for our anniversary. It was very comfortable, nicely appointed and had great views! It could have been better if the room fridge had (at the very least) water. Also, unfortunately the room next door was noisy late into the evening.

It’s a place to sleep and the price isn’t that bad for the view and patio room. Not that much to offer and you have to walk to the other hotel for any service. No free breakfast. One morning we had a homeless person sleeping next to the hotel in the dirt field right next to our patio. It’s not horrible but kinda dingy at the same time.

Was ok,no complaints or something really inconvenient. Parking easy and avilable at front and back, easy access from back parking lot to the rooms, there is railway behind the motel but honestly didn't feel any noise from train, whatever, they had free ear plugs in the room just incase if really need it.

I thought it was amazing!! 😀 the windows where out so you could sit on the sill and the view of the lake was perfect!! It was so close to stores and the town is so enchanting!!! You could jump from bed to bed and it was so fun the rooms were a perfect size and the only problem I had was it being a bit creepy because the lights would flicker from time to time and one of the lights wouldn't work. As well as the train was a bit loud but I had a great sleep and for the most of it. My stay was fantastic. I love this place definitely recommend!

Very happy we chose this hotel! Location is GREAT! Super quick walk to downtown and back, easy to get to the beach by the big orange bridge, quick 10 min walk to the sister property for restaurants/pool. Little strip mall with a grocery store right next door. Check in experience was GREAT! When i booked i made a note that i have a severe fragrance allergy and requested that all the body care products be removed and no air fresheners be in the room (if used). Sheila checked us in and was so wonderful. She referenced my booking note, took the time to discuss that the cleaning staff had been made aware and that they left the window open to air out the room as the cleaning products used did have some scent. The room was decent; has everything needed (kitchenette was small but serviceable for a few days stay) and best of all, they did not leave soaps or shampoos or anything and even the dishsoap they left was unscented (super important to me). And, best of all- no scent smell in the room. Downside is that the active train track is literally right next to the hotel BUT we were made aware of this with lots of notice so if we thought it was a problem, we could easily have booked elsewhere. It turned out to not be much of a problem. We were awakened by the train one morning but it was less loud than anticipated and wouldn't be a reason not to stay again. There are few 'amenities' but everything is noted clearly on the website so if one is expecting more, they likely didn't read through the info on the website. We were also given $10 off vouchers to use at any of the sister location restaurants because we declined having our room cleaned and fresh linens provided daily, which was a really unexpected and nice touch to help promote more environmentally friendly practises. It was great to be able to use those the first night before we got the lay of the land in Nelson. Would absolutely stay here again on my next trip out.

Lady at desk was lovely. Never mentioned the train. No breakfast either. Room spacious and clean HOWEVER the ac unit was so loud we got little to no sleep. Definitely not a “prestige “ place to stay

The staff is friendly, the building is old and border line dingy, and if you don't mind a train going by 30 feet away from your bed at 4am...then you're good. They do offer ear plugs upon check in when they tell you about the train that WILL shake your whole room as it chugs by. BUT the park across the street that is AMAZING...makes up for hotels shortcomings. Very convenient location to beaches, park & grocery store. I hope a remodeling is in the future for this place.

Fantastic location and better views than the resort. I just wish they had privacy screens between the balconies. The hotel is almost on the train tracks which was not that bad since the trains do not pass all the time. Fun to watch them tho. Overall, very affordable, good service and location. There is enough free parking too.

The upside is the room was clean, bed comfortable, fridge, microwave, coffee and balcony with a great view. Wall AC worked great to keep the room cool. Staff is great and responded promptly when I asked for an extra blanket.  There are basement rooms with ground level windows so make sure to get a room with a balcony. Easy to walk to the shopping centers. 15-20 min walk into town. Better than trying to find parking and paying. Downside, very limited parking at hotel. Motorcycles not made to park in designated spots, secondary parking is a poorly lit gravel lot. Hotel has random spots that have stairs that you can not get to with the elevator. NOT disabled friendly so be sure to call ahead to let them know if you can not do stairs. No way to get the luggage carrier out to the back parking lot and it's way too big for the size of the doors and hallways. Hallways are carpeted so it's hard to move luggage and have no air ventilation. Note you can use the resort, but they do not have an outdoor space to sit next to the water without being at the restaurant and no outdoor pool. Indoor pool area has no place to sit. Train went by just after 7 am really cool to see (times vary. Overall for location and room quality I would recommend this hotel to stay in Nelson.

I wasn't a guest. I was just roaming the halls. It's pretty clean. I liked not running into staff.

Nice rooms, good views/ balcony, there is train tracks right next to it, but the train that came through was a slow-moving train, didn't blow its horn but could here the road crossing dinning, not very loud overall. You could here squeaking from people walking around in the room above that was more bothersome than the train....will try and get top floor room if I stay again.

It’s not a five star hotel but the room i got had a very small shower and even at my rate i find it overpriced for what you get but the wifi was good and the parking is pretty horrible but there’s groceries store liquor store and corner store few minutes walk

Nice hotel, great location. Close to park, waterfront, and bike/walking path along the lake. About a 1km walk to downtown. Small rooms but clean and comfortable.

Decent rooms. Good price. Get to use the sister hotel for the pool. Have to drive to the other hotel which is not ideal, but grateful for the perk. Front desk staff was kind and helpful! Thank you

Beautiful views of the lake from the room - clean, comfy bed, the room has been updated fairly recently, large 50-55" panel tv - there are train tracks next to the hotel, but fortunately only one train went by in the morning - the sink faucet had a serious 'wobble' (room 215) and needs attention.

Rooms are neat and spacious with a balcony to the lake side. They don’t have pool or gym. But there is another premium hotel owned by the same people near by called Prestige lakeside resorts. We can use the gym and pool in there. It’s a 10-15 minutes walk.

I loved this hotel and the staff were absolutely amazing! Fantastic customer service, clean and reasonably priced, close to shopping AND the lake! The facilities at their sister hotel were amazing. The train went by once and I barely heard it. I highly recommend!!

It's a 5 minute drive/10 minute walk into downtown but a great inn/motel. My room was comfortable, came with A/C (a must here), tv, a comfortable bed with clean linens, and complementary access to their resort property's gym/pool. But their staff is what makes this property really shine! They are all so helpful and are making the trip a joy.

I would highly recommend this beautiful newly renovated boutique hotel. Our King Bed was very comfortable. Incredible view of Mountain out our sliding doors and balcony facing the waterfront. Most important was the staff, especially Happy who made our stay! Derek
