It was my first time at the Bloom. For a night club, the sound system and envirmonment are quite impressive, and I can’t take that away from the establishment. The Grouch and Eligh were preforming and I figured it would be a great time to first experience the Bloom. It was rather disastrous. The opening act was brutal and it was not the preformers fault. The sound system was so cranked you could not make out the beat nor the lyrics. The front monitors were not working so the performers could not hear themselves therefor they were yelling much louder than needed. The problem was not rectified for the main act. The Grouch noticed right away that the front monitors were not working. Rather than doing a sound check after their first song, the sound guys ran around frantically, and never solved the issue. You could tell the preformers were very frustrated. Maybe this was a bad night to first experience a live show there, I will give it another try but whoever was incharge of sound that night did a horrible job.

yer better off at the royal. if its a Big time DJ you want to see, sure. the food is basic and the vibe is weird

Restaurant upstairs had great Pizza, club downstairs had a great setup for an easy transition between a live band and a dj

I go here a lot and only have positives to say. If you are visiting Nelson, you have to check this beautiful venue out. The talent booked at this nightclub is incredible. Frankly, they are revolutionizing the music scene. You won't find top 40s here. If you don't want to pay cover, their Thursday nights are usually free cover and always a good time. I love that they have a water station and the bathrooms are always clean. The decor is so detailed and beautiful but my favourite part has to be the enchanting living wall. The sound system is top of the line and the lighting and graphics are always different. The staff is very friendly and efficient. I've seen the security handle stressful situations with lots of respect for the patrons. They do an awesome job. This place is a must see.

Got kicked out because the bar manager spilled a shot and wanted to charge me for it? They did however reimburse my tickets to the show which was nice but I missed out on a really good friends performance.

The best night club in our area Bloom is always accommodating and professional with all of its guests. The sound quality and atmosphere is only one of the best parts. They are always bringing in the best acts as well as affordable drink specials on event nights. Every time I attend I feel safe and leave having had a good time.

This place is by far my choice of entertainment for my ladies nights out , between the great events with a wide variety of music & activities , great service , good drink prices & employees , this venue is one I always recommend when people ask where to go in Nelson to dance !! , Not only has Bloom brought many artists & DJs that would never even look to come to Nelson but also given many of the local artist & myself opportunities to use the stage in the spotlight on the quality PK speaker sound system !! there has been some pretty cool things that has happened at bloom for every age !! With a living wall and hundreds of LED lights covering the dance floor, once you groove your way onto it, you can't help but enjoy the experience. Sound system is quite something and the use of what can be called a 'small' space, is great.

Had a really positive experience my first time here. The sound system is massive for the size of the venue - which honestly is just a plus for me. Really enjoyed the show, environment, drink selection, LED ceiling, accommodating staff, having a hotel room literally upstairs, and BASS!

Went for Outlier-Sivz and again for Cazztek-Rumpus. I'm not sure what's up with the sound system in there but it sounds way too rattly and the bass completely drowns out any of the rest of the tracks the DJ is playing. I tried to stand in different parts of the venue but it didn't really sound great anywhere. Bathrooms had no soap on my second visit and the urinal was just leaking on the floor the entire night. The staff was friendly and they had a good selection of drinks, the LED ceiling is really cool too. I want to like this place because they get more of the artists that I'm into but I haven't had a good experience the two times I've been.
