We arrived in a hurry at past midnight after our train was canceled, but the reception agreed to make an exception and received us anyway. The reception was warm and really efficient, saving us a painful night spent on the station platform. The beds are confortable and the spaces are clean. We really loved this hostel! All the staff is helpful and kind. Dorms were clean and nice. Really great facilities (kitchen, bathrooms and showers). Nice and free breakfast (8:00-10:00am). Convenient location (5min walk to the central station). They organize different types of activities, either inside the hostel or generally in the city. Finally, you have the possibility to rent bikes, nevertheless all the bikes were not in a good condition. It's definitely value for money and we'll definitely go again!

I stayed for 2 weeks while looking for a rental, in both the 4-person room and the private room. Ani is easy to get to, has a friendly and welcoming feel, and lots of different sized rooms so you can choose your kind of stay. The neighborhood has choices for markets, but also many ethnic restaurants so you can find nearly every kind of food. Many of the desk staff are local college students and are great to talk with. The hostel is owned by women, and while you won't see them often, you will see their choices in comfort and style - it is very inclusive and a safe space for anyone. One of the best hostels in Europe. I have traveled almost all over Europe and have experienced many hostels. The common area here allows you to work, cook and eat, relax, play board games, watch movies, play music and study. There is a garden adjacent to the common area, which I am sure is very pleasant in summer. I think it is good that there is no commercial activity in the common area except for breakfast. The staff are gracious, polite and helpful. There is a luggage room. The rooms are clean and airy, there are enough lockers, sometimes they can be small, but you are in a safe place, there is no harm in throwing worthless items under the bed :) The showers and toilets are clean. It is in the city center, you can reach everywhere including the train station with a 10 minute walk.

This is the best Hostel I have ever stayed! I stayed there for 2 night at the end of October and had so much fun meeting new friends, karaoke and a big student party. The Staff was absolutely amazing with the service and the special spaghetti night. I'm coming back in just one week for 4 night. See you soon!

Beautiful chill hostel, really homely vibe. The common spaces are fun and inviting making it a great way to meet new people. The rooms have heaps of hanging space, not quite enough power points. The beds are comfy and the showers and toilets are clean. The staff are friendly and helpful and every day create fun suggestions for activities in Rotterdam. In a really nice location, right near Centraal Station and only a very short walk to the city centre. The nearby West-Kruiskade is a vibrant high Street, with interesting things always going on. Fantastic hostel. My only complaint would be that WiFi signal does not go all the way to the 2nd floor, but I'm still giving it 5 stars because everything else was above and beyond. I was there in May for school trip. It was fine but second night there is a guy occupied my bed and shouted at me at the midnight. It was a nightmare. And next morning host try to fixed whole things with free breakfast. I don’t know how to feel about this so back to left a comment again. My stuff next day found out a part is at the host counters and a part just on the floor. Like my clothes and socks. It’s cozy and lovely but unfortunately it’s my worst experience to stay in Rotterdam. I left comments in Airbnb but apparently they don’t want my comments to show there. *their emergency line didn’t work when whole things happened and makes me a bit traumatized when a stranger shouting at you at the midnight and host left a line that didn’t work.

Freaking awesome stay, I've stayed at some other hostels before, but this one made me feel the most welcome. It's definitely not one of those chain commercial hostels. Here the vibe is very chill and the place is so cozy, sometimes I would just sit around in the common area and look at the wooden furniture and do a bit of people watching. There is a little terrace / garden, which is a great place to have a coffee / dinner with the other guests. Nice spacious kitchen, which could accommodate even ~12 different people from 12 different nationalities, cooking at the same time. My partner and I stayed here during our trip to the Netherlands, and specifically to Rotterdam. I wanted to commend on the great experience. The location is great, it is close to many things in Rotterdam, and was walking distance and transit distance from the majority of the things we came to see. When we didn’t want to walk, the hostel had bicycles to rent, which may be normal, but it was quick and easy. We were able to check out various spots around Rotterdam with any mode of transport we needed. The main thing that will remain memorable is the atmosphere here. Those working here were friendly and helpful, they seemed to be hanging out with friends/guests, but would always come and assist immediately if there was anything needed. This atmosphere made it feel very homey, and very relaxed. This is pretty much everything you could want out of a hostel. There is a cool hangout area both inside and outside in a garden-like backyard. We were able to chat with another guest while reading and listening to some music. The room was quite small, but normal for a hostel, and it was as much room as we needed. Some more options to hang items on the walls would have been nice to get some stuff off the floor that we didn’t need at that very moment. The bathrooms were mostly clean and comfortable with enough for the number of guests on that floor. The showers were in separate rooms so that you had privacy and also someone showering didn’t stop you from using the toilet, which is not the case at every hostel. We received two cards, one for each of us, so that we didn’t have to spend 100% of all our time together to get back into the hostel or room which made it easy to have some alone time as well. We got to the hostel a bit early and stayed in Rotterdam a little bit after check-out and we were able to store our belongings in a locker area complimentary of staying here. Towels were 1 euro each which we found pretty modest. Small toast with topping and coffee offered every morning, and on the Monday we were there they had pancakes which is apparently the same as every other Monday. Definitely a place I will remember and will try to visit if we make the trip to Rotterdam again and will recommend to friends. If you are travelling to Rotterdam and are trying to make a decision and are unsure about this place do not fret, it is unlikely to will be disappointed.

The best hostel i have stayed at so far. Really cozy rooms instead of the usual hospital like atmosphere, big kitchen, lovely garden and living room. Free coffee and tea, everything is cleaned regularly and always a chilled vibe, it’s never been too noisy. Even tho i am not the most social person, I immediately felt welcomed and like at home. The staff is very friendly (shoutout to Spencer) and so were the other guests. Location also is great, you are in the city centre and at the central station in just a few minutes. If in Rotterdam, STAY HERE! It was by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. There is a great common area (that has a lot of personal touches) and garden, which is awesome for socializing and really gives the place a good vibe. There’s happy hour ever day from 7-8, so you can get some beers as low as €1! The rooms and bedsheets were stylish, everyone has a light, a little shelf by the bed, and a locker that locks. The bathrooms, showers, and sink area were always super clean, and even though we stayed in one of the bigger rooms, we never had a problem with waiting to use anything. There’s a hairdryer on every floor, and shelves/hangers/benches to put your stuff by the sinks and in the showers. It’s a great location to the bus/train station, just about 5 mins walk. The hostel also has events like pasta night, free walking tours, and you can rent bikes for a great rate. In the morning they have toast and jam/honey, and coffee/tea all day. Really great price for what you get - I’d 100% recommend it here!

The hostel recommends great events and places to go in the city,with discounts to certain places for staying in the hostel. The bed in my 12 bunk bed dorm was very comfy and everything was really clean. Again, such a wonderful place,you won't regret going there.
