Nice dinner location. Looks nice, the food was nice, people were polite. They even gave some colouring pencils, dough and little Barbie toys to the two girls.

On the first look, the hotel is nice and fancy and big. The rooms are spacy as well as the bathroom (with bathtub and rain shower). On the second look, everything was dirty and the service unfriendly. The food of the room service was nice but not as described on the menu.

We loved this hotel. Nice, clean, fancy, and well connected to Utrecht's city centre by bus. The breakfast was also really good. To recommend absolutely!

I'll start by saying that the hotel is beautiful and warm, I can't say the same about the employees there, they watch you all the time on the cameras, you feel like you're in a prison, you can't leave and enter whenever you want, it's a useless hotel if you with friends at the hotel and you want to go from one to another, it doesn't allow you, which is very bad, I've been to other hostels and I've never met anywhere like theirs

Very nice and beautiful place. Rooms are clean and big, comfy bed, excellent city view. Food is something amazing, everything was so delicious and fresh. Highly recommend this place and definitely want to visit it again.

I had booked online one night at a price of € 149 for my eighty year old mother (German). When she had to extend a night from Mon till Tue, this hotel ripped off my mother by almost doubling the price (€ 270). The hotel took advantage of her age, distress and non-existent language skills. This is morally not okay. PS: There is not only a lack of decency, but also style and soul. The whole comfort and luxury thing is slightly overrated. The interior is mediocre for my taste.

It's a nice hotel. However, the vegan/lactose-free options at breakfast and in the restaurant are very poor or non-existent. It's annoying.

I have stayed here three times over the past few years. Rooms have aways been clean and spacious. Staff is very courteous and helpful. I would absolutely stay here again. The lunch I had during my last stay was a different story. I ordered an avocado smash on toast. What I got was an avocado puree on toast. I'm pretty sure that it came out of a jar. The whole purpose of the smash is to see that it was a fresh avocado and not something processed. Since I eat vegetarian and wanted a light lunch, this was about my only choice. Vegetarian options were very limited. It would have been nice to have some veggie sandwich options. Those are pretty easy to make, right?

Positives: The location, the parking, the spacious room, comfortable bed and good breakfast. Negatives: -The inexperienced staff (very young, most likely summer jobs for students) -The dirtiness! The room wasn’t cleaned AT ALL during the whole week, even though I requested full service every day. They just « made the bed » (not even properly) and that’s it. Some stains were still there after 7 days, even a dirty toe nail and rose petals that were already on the floor when we arrived. Terrible housekeeping staff. (See photos) -Charging 14€ just to bring room service in the room is extreme and never heard of. You should get rid of that as it’s pure nonsense.

New York suite located in room 1804, street side but quite. Very nice decorated and spaceous but signs of wear and tear becoming visible which makes the price tag not entirley justified. Hightec gadgets are over complicated and with minor flaws. Shower is a challange to operate. Sauna was great, jaccuzzi was rather basic. Breakfast absolutely delicious. Great smell in the lobby. Yes, you can turn off Sinatra each time you open the door. Elevators also have a neat feature... but you will see for yourselves...

We stayed here whilst visiting family. The room was of good quality with a large bathroom and good view. Breakfast was a highlight it was extensive to say the least. Have stayed in der Valk hotels previously and not had a bad experience yet.

Hotel Van Der Valk Utrecht offered a delightful stay. The rooms were spacious and immaculate, the staff was friendly and attentive, and its location provided easy access to local attractions. Would highly recommend for a comfortable and memorable experience in Utrecht.

Työmatkalla ja tämä hotelli tarjosi erinomaiset puitteet. Hotellissa oli tilaisuus, joka oli kokonaisuutena erittäin onnistunut. Henkilökunta oli erittäin palvelualtista. Saavuimme myös aika aikasin, vähän puolen päivän jälkeen, mutta silti kaikki pääsivät kirjautumaan sisään ja saivat huoneen. Aulassa, ravintolassa ja huoneissa pientä ylellisyyden tuntua. Ruoka on ollut erinomaista. Suosittelen erittäin mielelläni muillekin! Harmillisesti aikaa ei jäänyt käydä testaamassa uima-allasta, joka ainakin täältä löytyvien kuvien perusteella oli hienon näköinen (kerros 20). Maisemat olivat huoneesta myös hienot, kun pääsin jopa kerrokseen 18!

I stayed in this hotel, the hotel employees are watching the video cameras, they will call you on the room phone because you are talking to a friend even if he has a room reserved at the hotel, under no circumstances is it allowed for 3 people to stay in the room just to discuss even if everyone has the room in this hotel not to sleep. there are no parking spaces for cars, you have to pay for parking, it is not included in the price, they are not welcoming at all!!! he comes over you in the room to check you, worse than in prison!!!!

I booked Luxurious room. First that striked me was a smell of tobacco smoke/fume. Window was opened for ventilation. The smoke detector was covered with a plastic bag. Underneath the bed there was 1 pair of socks, plastic bag and alot of other garbish. Toilet was not cleaned either. Changed room just to get a room facing the express highway where windows was airleeking and a lot of noise was getting in Do expect quite more from a hotel when booking room in that price range

Worst hotel ever. keep an eye on us, what is this we are in prison? We are not allowed to do anything. It was an unpleasant evening, the reception calls me that I am not allowed to talk to anyone close to the hotel. What is this prison? Big conference hotel, somewhat outside the interesting areas - at least if you're on foot. Everything is big here. The lobby area is massive, but mostly empty. I don't know about the other room types but ours was supposed to be a bit larger than the usual - and larger it was. But the comfort ended there. The feeling of the room was like the lobby: large but barren. Personal taste aside, some practical issues that really should not exist in an expensive place like this: - paper cups only, whether in the room or in the bathroom. Not only does it feel cheap, they're also useless as tooth brush holders since they tip over. - nowhere to place shampoos etc in the shower except on the floor. Having a bad back this felt particularly silly. - nowhere to hang towels near the sink. So we end up using the make-up mirror, which sooner or later will break as a result. - in a misguided attempt at making use of extra space, the toilet is in a separate room. Like the rest, barren. No trash bin for sanitary products. Nowhere except the floor to put a pack of wet wipes. There isn't even a sink in there! So after doing your business you have to get up, flush, dress, open one door, open another, and THEN you can wash. This is downright disgusting. - Room temperature control resets to defaults after a while. Like in the middle of the night. So despite setting it to a comfy level in the evening, we wake up freezing. - You have to walk through most of the room before finding somewhere to hang your coat. How about some hooks inside the entrance door? It's not like there's anything else on the walls.. - Most information in Dutch only. The few places we found translations (room TV), most of them were literally "lorem ipsum dolor...". Even the room service - available only by scanning a QR code with your smart phone - is Dutch only. Menus in the bar, same. This isn't France, people! On a positive note, the breakfast was decent and the conference dinner quite nice indeed. The fish and meat were done in front of us, perfectly according to our wishes. And the snacks offered in the bar were above expectations, making up for the closed restaurant kitchen (despite their own information on the website) when we arrived.

This is a review for the restaurant part during a conference. I was amazed with the quality and the diversity of the buffet for both cold and warm foods. I assume it depends on the package deal that the company orders but the quality of all the food was extremely high. Would definitely eat here if staying at the hotel.

Stayed for one night on a business trip. Very nice hotel and excellent large rooms with comfortable bed. Large bathroom with great shower and whirlpool bath. Good choice of breakfast food also.

Very nice boardrooms, well kitted out. Beautiful hotel including the bar and restaurant. High quality food. Only downside was the P2 parking which I had to use because the main parking under the hotel was full. Not a long walk but you have to cross a wide road without pedestrian crossing and get pretty soaked if the weather is bad.

Quick lunch of the motorway in between appointments was a bit annoying. Food was as expected since expectations were not high and the service was there. Very efficient in removing the plates, even when their was still food on it. Guess the dishwashers where running out of work. Ford would be proud of the division of labor in getting me the menu, diverting it to the assigned colleague to avoid taking to steps forward and two steps back to do it quickly yourself.....

Excellent Hotel, with a spacious and relaxing feel about it 😎 The Hotel decor and fixtures and fitting are of a very high standard and really make it a pleasure to visit. The Rooms are big and well appointed 👍 Great Beds/Pillows, decent Air-con, and Windows that open (although then you do get a bit of noise from the Road outside). Bathroom is massive with a Jacuzzi Bath and separate walk-in Shower 👍 Breakfast is about €15 which is good when you see the variety of food on offer 👍 I've never stayed in a Valk Hotel before (I'm more of a Hilton fan) but after experiencing this Hotel, I will definitely be using them in future 👍

We love staying at the Van der Valk hotels, however Utrecht was one of the lesser. Staff at reception Friendly. Staff at breakfast reception was awfull. Breakfast was cold ( Bacon, mushrooms) for what u pay, not worth it.Our room lovely, however Bathroom was not very clean, could not even see myself in the mirror...

It was better than expected. The service, nice comfortable rooms, bathroom-JUST PERFECT❤️Wish i could stay there even longer. The Breakfast was super. Lors of food to choose. Much more than Enough. But..... Very expensive😭

Overcharges for wedding venue and stubbornly insists that it was standard practice. Even other VDV admitted their price us way above the market value. Yes, every VDV can charge what they like, but their unwillingness to be flexible makes them a nightmare to deal with. I'm very glad I did not host our wedding dinner here. We instead went with Mereveld (close by). A much better venue for an epic night and all that for more than half the price! Overall terrible service.

Quality every time! Spacious and modern rooms, huge bathroom with both rainshower and bath big enough for two. Sound isolated so no noise from your neighbours! On the top floor theres a nice pool and two saunas and a steam room with ambient lighting, highly recommended taking a trip to the top floor. If you forgot to bring swimwear there is actually a vendingmachine on the bottom floor (parking floor) that sells swimwear, goggles etc. The hotel is clean and modern throughout. The restaurant on the 1st floor is fancy, clean and has something for every taste. Will definetely visit again.
