We had a very nice stay! We came at 22:30 and we could still check in without problems. The whole house and bed and bathroom was very clean and well taken care of. The beds were nice. You had to make the bed yourself and no towels were provided (which is fine - just for your information). The whole area is super nice and you can rent a boat to drive through the canals. The breakfast was only very little which is why I deducted a star but all in all it was very nice.

Nice and pretty hostel, specially for solo travellers. Really cheap option if you compare with other accommodations in the village. It is a hostel and you share room with others. There is a small locker avaiable. I met many solo travellers here. The receptionists are great. Some breakfast options available. There is a nearby restaurant but it may be closed during off-season. The other restaurants are at least 15 minutes walking distance, but given the pretty and beautiful views during the walk, it seems nothing. Really liked the location because of the surrounding. I wish the cleaning of the room was a bit better, other than that, I had a nice stay.

2nd time staying here. Jimmy & Gea are lovely couple who running this small hostel which is unlike other backpacker hostel. Perfect for family, couple or real backpacker that can enjoys village vibe here..

Although the location is excellent, I expected more facilities in the room. Almost nothing is in the rooms. I was wondering how it could get 9.0 points from Booking. It is absolutely not designed for family. Staff were very kind and helpful. P

The best location to explore Giethoorn from. Everything is extremely clean. Host was k8nd and friendly.

Wahrscheinlich das beste Hostel der Welt. Die Lage: wunderschöne Gärten und Grachten wo man blickt, mit einem der schönsten Naturgebieten Hollands. Das Hostel sauber, freundlich und gutes Preis / L-Verhältnis. Hier könnte ich mir vorstellen, meine Flitterwochen zu verbringen :D

The staff were rude. The employee kept repeating her words to me like I don’t understand her and she likes to nag. She rushed me to check out of the room in order to clean it as she said. After I left I came back about 20 minutes later because I forgot my medication, and there she was sitting and chatting up with her friends not cleaning what so ever. She liked to be rude for no apparent reason. The bathroom was super clean, the rooms were in good condition.

Had a wonderful time in Giethoorn. The hostel staffs were very kind and friendly. Breakfast buffet is included with the booking. The hostel is surrounded with greenery and the environment is very calm and soothing. If you’re looking for a perfect place to relax and want a getaway in Netherlands you must visit this place.

Cosy little hostel in a superb location, with great facilities and service — I can't think of a better place to stay in Giethoorn. The outdoor areas are lovely as well, and a boat rental service being just outside the hostel makes everything super convenient. I do have to mention the stairs are very narrow, meaning if you have an upstairs room, it could potentially be hard/dangerous to move luggage up and down the stairs. There is also very little soundproofing, if that's an issue. But these were just minor inconveniences that didn't impact us much, personally. Thank you for the pleasant stay!

Location is unbeatable. It was nice walking along the canal in the morning when the village was still quiet. The garden is really nice. Sleeping room is very basic. The down side is that the shared bathrooms and toilets are just outside of the bedroom, and their doors banged very loudly which largely affected sleeping quality. Would be better if the shared bathrooms and toilets are a bit away from bedroom, or the quality of the doors can be improved (adding buffer-materials to reduce noise, or make the door smoother etc).

My sister and I had a really nice stay here, lovely place, free breakfast and the people are even better! The couple who own this hostel are beyond brilliant, we got stranded in the middle of nowhere due to train/bus strikes with no way of getting there so called the hostel for advice and they so kindly got one of their fathers to come and personally pick us up and bring us to the hostel. This was above and beyond what is expected of them but just goes to show how much they care about their guests. Could not recommend enough!

Convenient and affordable place to stay in Giethoorn. Easily accessible by car. Great location. Clean and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended.

Great hospitality, beautiful garden with bbq and fireplace, lounge set and hamak, great location to good restaurants. I recommend it for family and friends. We will come back for sure!

This is a wonderful place to stay if you like to be outside the center of Giethoorn. Quiet, super nice service, clean, with many things to do around. Definitely we will be coming back!

Excellent location and very clean hostel with good breakfast in the morning to start your day early time in the village. We checked in at 10:30 pm and staff was friendly. There is restaurant on the opposite side of the hostel where you can rent boat to start your amazing journey in the village.

Friendly owner, lovely garden, the communal areas are decent and clean! I would recommend :)
