Really cool place, had fun. Unfortunately some games didn't work at all or were buggy, and it was pretty hot inside poor ventilation, also i think the buttons should be cleaned from time to time because lots of people were touching everything, after we left we felt our hands really dirty. Other than that nice to spend time there on some games

Had such a nice time! Drinks weren't expensive, the entry is €15 to play all the games as much as you want. We had the bitterballen which was lovely. Also it is accessible for mobility issues.

A place with a cool tradition of organizing an extremely loud party (or rather just a loud party in a space clearly not designed for that) once a year, right before the university exam week. 2:33am, music on full blast, no way I'm falling asleep with that noise. Second year in a row, this happens. Seriously, it is always the last week of the month - easy to find out being located opposite to student housing. Just go for a different week (so I can come too) or finally soundproof your space. Sad regards

Super fun arcade! Great for a rainy day. It wasn't super busy so it was very chill to hang around for a couple of hours. The food is perfect snack food, made fresh on the spot. There are plenty of different games to try out, from old-school arcade games to the Nintendo switch. I think it's way more relaxed to pay a (fair) entrance of 15 euros, and you can stay as long as you want and play as much as you want (better than paying per game). I would stay for at least 2 hours to make it worth it. If you're looking for an original date idea, this is a good one!

We pay 15 euros for entry per person and we play the arcades galore! Lots of arcades of Japanese origin so very cool for those who have been to Japan. I played Tekken, Street Fighter 2, Donkey Kong, Pac-man, Crazy Taxi and many others. We had a great time. Thank you very much Blast Galaxy 😀

Loved the arcade! This is how it supposed to be. Nice retro games available but also newer games. Totally fixed the bad experience we had at game state. Coming back soon again.

As other recent reviews have mentioned, a lot of the machines were out of order and broken. It’s looking a little rundown and some of the machines were a bit gross - sticky from alcohol spills and oily fingers. With that said, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and we had a fun time playing air hockey.

The game selection is amazing! Retro games, fighting games, racing games shooting games, a Nintendo switch, Japanese rythm games. There's bound to be something that pleases you given how varied the selection is. The food is also nice but I haven't tried the alcoholic drinks. However, the positives stop there, because 15€ entrance fee... FIFTEEN EUROS. I have been to all you can play arcades that ask for half the price, but it's not just that. If you look at the rhythm games, there are 7 of them, but 3 of the games are basically unplayable, and some others are really old or buggy. That is unacceptable for 15€. The place is quite dirty too, it really is not worth the price. If the place was better maintained, I would give it 5 stars without problem, but right now it's just not worth going to, especially if you're into rhythm games.

Enjoyed a fun afternoon at this arcade. Great selection of games, Especially ones you can play with 2 people. Spent 3-4 hours here easily. Nice selection of food and drinks so you don't get hungry.

Best Arcade Club in The Netherlands. For friend or families, food is better than the games, staff always ready to help.. highly recomended!!!

It’s a nostalgic place with cool games 😍 that can be fun for a few hours and I loved the fact that you can drink or eat in meantime.I wished it was cleaner though.

Best arcade in the Netherlands hands down. You pay 15 Euro and play all you want. The game variety is hands down the best I have seen in the Netherlands. The staff is friendly and place is clean. Only downside is that the place is not wheelchair accessible but can be fixed with a stair lift.

Very nice! Too bad they are closed on Monday/Tuesday... and Wednesday until 6?

Nice place for gaming. When I was there they had a DJ. That was absolutely great. Very good vibe!

This is a great arcade and even better in the new location. I really like that you have some kind of chillout area and the real arcade separated. There are many cool games to try, the staff is friendly and the food (which is good), the drinks and the entrance fee are very resonable priced. We always have a fun time and stay there for hours. The missing star is because I think there are too many machines not working and/or some are in a bad shape, like buttons, force-feedback or displays barely or not working. Don´t get me wrong, there a still more than enough games to play but if this could be fixed, I´d gladley change my rating to 5 Stars.

Really cool place and definitely my favourite arcade in Amsterdam! You pay at the entrance and are then free to play all of the available games for as long as you like. They have a nice selection of retro games, modern fighting games, Japanese rhythm games, a couple of racers and light gun games and a scattering of everything else you could want really. The food is also lovely and very reasonably priced and they have a good drinks menu. It's an entertaining, surprisingly chill way to spend a few hours; because you pay at the start you essentially have unlimited credits and can just enjoy the experience without worrying about the impact it's having on your wallet.

I came here specifically to play metal slug but was very disappointed that both games they had were ultra easy Chinese bootlegs with no challenge at all

Many joysticks or cabinets do not work completely. Too bad. Very unclear to find them after they moved. Furthermore, nice old school arcade areas

Some of the best vibes for just hanging out. Snacks, drinks, food and a general cool area for sitting and gaming. Down side? Too many games need service though.

If you want a nostalgic arcade experience with your kid, this is a pretty good place to go. For a reasonable fixed fee, you can play as much as you want. The selection and quality of the games is decent, although some of the games were out of order. Overall, I loved what they tried to do here. The atmosphere is laid back and homely. And I appreciate it the fact that they’re not trying to price gouge you.

Recommended! 15 peak for unlimited gaming. Much better than docking for tokens. Delicious snacks also available.

Best arcade in Europe! I’ve played all over and this one got it right from beginning to end. Great mix of games and great food/drink. Would recommend to anyone, gamer or not 👌

What can I say about this place, it’s basically a gem! A very fairly priced ticket (€ 15) will give you unlimited access to every arcade and console for the whole day, and they have a great selection! Snacks are good and they have beers and cocktails too. I loved this place SO much 😱

Nice small arcade hall. Retro and modern arcade machines. Too dark for my taste. They have many music games e.g. MaiMai-dance dance revolution and others. My only negative comment is for rythm games you need to hear the music otherwise the game is useless. Maimai was fine. Taiko no tatsujin almost unplayable due unheard music. All In all nice stay and hope the expand with Project Diva machines with headphone inputs.

For €15 you can play anything, every type of video game is available. The large room for Mario Kart is a highlight. The only flaw is the Asian consoles, where you cannot change the language. Otherwise a must in Amsterdam

The new location is super nice and spacious, the Mario Kart set up is very cozy and the cabinets are super varied!! Still missing some fighters like Marvel vs. Capcom, Dragon Ball and maybe a modern Tekken or Mortal Kombat~ Food was delicious and staff very friendly!! Time passes quickly, we had a lot of fun.

My boyfriend loved our visit here. There were some old nostalgic games, but also new ones. I liked the dancing game most.

A wonderful place for every one who likes video games. I will definitely visit again when I am in Amsterdam again ❤️

This place is a true blast! The 15€ admission cost can seem a bit steep at the beginning, but it’s totally worth it if you’re staying for longer and love videogames. There are all the real classics and most arcade machines are in good shape. You can also find newer games of the Switch or Ps4. The food is very delicious and the portions and taste justify the prices. Will definitely visit again.

Was a lovely experience. A treat for both adults and kids alike. Also with the convenience of meals prepared on location, it made it a superb one stop shop for pleasure.

If you consider yourself a gamer, Blast Galaxy is a must-visit on your next Amsterdam trip. You pay a flat rate (10€ up to 10 years, over 10y 15 Euro) and can gamble as long as you want. Blast Galaxy has some cool original arcades from the 80s (and later), which i loved playing back then: Track and Field, Gauntlet, Pac-Man, Qix, Street Fighter, Mortal Combat... I went there with my 8y old son and he really enjoyed it. And it brought back some nice childhood memories for me.

Nice place and really fun games. Great concept. The food was okay but the games were really fun and diverse. It was really nice the fact that you pay one entrance ticket and you can play as much as you want.

Very cool arcade with a bar and food available. Pay once to get in and play all you want. Tables and couches to chill out if you need a break, plus you get a stamp so you can leave and get back in once you've paid. Definitely recommend if you like playing arcade games.

We (13 of us) had a great time at Blast Galaxy! I played some absolutely classics - enjoying some of the most ridiculous games ever (including Virtual Soccer), winning at Mario Kart, entering some classic worlds of Star Wars, completing L.A. Machineguns and others, and going back in time with Tetris, basketball and more. I read a previous review that many machines were down; this wasn't the case for us. The owner was kind too. Overall, Blast Galaxy was a great place to go for our stag do: you can spend a good few hours in there; food and drink (alcohol included) are readily available; and if you're coming from central Amsterdam, Blast Galaxy is only a fun free ferry ride and a short walk away. I would definitely return!

Excellent arcade given the appropriate perspective. I’ve seen complaints that not all the machines were working. What are people thinking??? Car museums don’t let you take their cars out for a spin! The staff are friendly and engaging. Their work is challenging. Anyone who knows retro electronics can attest that keeping these gems running can be a challenge to say the least. Especially if the public are allowed to submit the hardware to a punishing workout every week of the year. Hats off to you, guys and girls!!! I love this place!

Good selection of Japanese rhythm games (and other arcade games, but I didn't try them). Most are online on the usual networks. The drinks are not overpriced, entry is 15€. -1 star because the back of the arcade is way too warm, they really need to figure out AC or at least some fans.

  • 5/5 Paul T. 8 months ago on Google
A very good arcade with a great atmosphere. There’s a mixture of retro machines and newer rhythm games, a lot of machines I’d never seen before, but most importantly of all a Bishi Bashi cabinet. I will definitely be going again next time I visit Amsterdam.

almost all of the rhythm game arcades I wish I could have played for the past 5 years united in a single place ~ friendly staff and cool movies and 15e for a whole day of unlimited access what more could you want come onnnn

  • 3/5 Audra T. 10 months ago on Google
very affordable because you only pay once and you can play everything and the choices were varied and interesting but, unfortunately it seemed that there was a problem with their electricity which took them quite sometime to fix, it was also quite stuffy inside and felt a bit dated. The bathroom was horrible with literally feces in the toilet left un flushed and uncleaned.

  • 4/5 Selene C. 9 months ago on Google
Very fun. Has a wide variety of classic games and some interesting ones that I’ve never seen before. Spent quite a few hours here trying everything out. I would recommend this place!
