Fantastic tour of Utrecht! You will see things not visible from above, like the many clever statues ticked away under the city light posts. Raphael is knowledgeable, hospitable, and kind. If you do one thing while visiting Urtrecht, this is it.

I like the bike tour. The guide is very nice and he also knows alot about Utrecht and the history of the land. I also love when he arranged us to have a great coffee time next to Central Museum. The bike also in good condition, and easy to ride, well maintained. Its a very nice experience to have a bike tour at the most popular bike transportation city in the world. Utrecht have a very good road for cycling, and people there also give priority for bike access. A little suggestion if the guide could give us some selfie time and maybe take some picture of us at the spot he recommended, it would be very great :) but overall you should try bike ride in Utrecht

We connected with Raphael for a kayaking experience. Being beginners we had our concerns but he was great at communication and even provided us with life jackets. During the tour he explained about the history and culture of Utrecht. It's a relaxed activity, really fun. He even got us drinks and waffles. Highly recommended!! Make sure to carry a cap or hat on a sunny day as it's for 2.5 hours in the open canals, also wear sports clothing so u can kayak easily. The place is really beautiful, worth the time, effort and money!

Raphaël was very friendly and knowledgeable. We began the tour with a brief history of Utrecht and then continued to the kayaks. At various points along the canals, Raphaël explained places of interest and fun facts. I learnt a lot about Utrecht. Such a nice experience! Highly recommend

Wonderful and interesting bike tour with Rafael! He was born in Utrecht, went to university in Amsterdam, and seems to love the city of Utrecht. Rafael, thanks for giving us a customized view of your city.

Raphaël was very informative & knowledgeable of the history of Utrecht . His English was excellent considering his mother-tongue is Dutch. The bikes were easy to ride around the busy city streets of Utrecht, considering there are so many bikes around. Value for money also.

This was a creative tour, like none I've experienced before. Raphael shared with us the history of Utrecht from land and water. The funniest part was when people standing at the coffee shops or on the bridges were taking pictures of us, and I was taking pictures of them. 😂

I joined this kayaking tour in Utrecht with Raphaël being the local guide in April and couldn't ask for a better experience. Supposedly, it was with 2 other people but they didn't show up. Raphaël still honored the tour and my tour turned out to be an exclusive one. I can tell that Raphaël is passionate about Utrecht and its history specifically and that of the Netherlands in general. He was very informative and helpful throughout the trip. Raphaël was also very patient with my rusty kayaking skill so that also helped with my pace. It felt like kayaking around the city and having a conversation with a friend and having a beer. I highly recommend taking any tours around Utrecht with Raphaël because you'll definitely enjoy and appreciate the city even more after the tour.

I took a guided bike tour and a kayak tour with Raphael. Both were excellent. He had very good historical knowledge a friendly sense of humor. I highly recommend any/all of Raphael's guided tours.

Raphaël’s tour was outstanding. He was flexible, communicated with us promptly, met us with the bikes in a place that was easy to find, and offered an excellent tour. As a native of Utrecht, he was knowledgeable and passionate about the city. The tour was a nice combination of history, architecture, and general information. We enjoyed a coffee partway through the morning, which gave us the opportunity to chat with Raphaël and the other members of the tour. It was also helpful to have someone who knew the city to safely guide us through the traffic and bike lanes. I highly recommend this tour of Utrecht!

My family stayed in Utrecht and on a whim decided to book a bicycle tour of the city in the middle of the week. Our guide responded very quickly via email, was able to get a kids bike that was just the right size, and invited us to show up the next day. The tour was great! Our guide gave us some historical details about the city before we started and at a few points along the way. Thanks to the guide and the excellent Dutch cycling infrastructure, riding was quick, easy, and felt very safe, even with our 9 year old daughter riding on her own. We would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get a new view of the city!

Had a great tour with Raphael! He just happened to be online this morning when I was trying to book a last minute tour and happily offered to meet me at 2. Learned a lot about the history of Ultrecht that my Dutch friend didn’t even know. Thank you Raphael!

What a wonderful way to learn about the history of Utrecht! My husband and I had a really lovely time kayaking the canals and absorbing Raphael's interesting tales of this delightful city! It's a great way to spend the afternoon! We can't wait to try the walking and bicycle tours, too.

I had a really wonderful kayak/canoe tour with Raphaël yesterday. Raphaël was an excellent guide, providing us with regular interesting information about the history of Utrecht and the Netherlands, and stopping along the canals to point out interesting sights. The kayaking itself was great fun, with a lovely drink break in the middle and a stroopwafel at the end! Would thoroughly recommend this to anybody wanting to explore Utrecht from the water.

What a lovely afternoon on the Kayak tour! Rafaël was such a great tour guide - very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic about his home city of Utrecht. It was a really friendly small group of 6 of us which was great and we stopped off at a nice café halfway alongside the canal. The trip was made particularly special since today was the first day that the canal underneath Hoog Catharijne was open! Thank you Rafaël for a super afternoon in Utrecht and for showing us the beauty of this amazing city! I would definitely recommend to anyone in the city, either as a resident or a visitor - it's very special to see the city from the water and I learned a lot about the history too!

We had a custom-made tour for a group of biologists. The guide gave great information about the history of the city, and pointed out very exciting historic, arty and biological details throughout the walk that one would otherwise easily miss. I can highly recommend Raphael as guide.

Our bike tour through Utrecht was one of the highlights of our trip! Rafael was extremely accommodating and even secured a toddler seat for our little one. We rode through beautiful Utrecht on a gorgeous day and the tour honestly made us fall more in love with the city than we had already! Raphael has tons of knowledge about history, unique local places, and of course shared insights about Dutch culture. I highly recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Utrecht!

Raphaël met us at our hotel in Zeist cycling with us to the Domplein, Informing us on the history of Zeist Castle, the old river Rhine route and how the Dutch Waterline defence system was conceived and implemented. In Utrecht we passed the famous Reitveld-Schröderhuis, joining four other guests on the Domplein for the official cycle tour. It was a delightful tour not only because of the wealth of information he imparted, demonstrating some aspects on various maps for better understanding, but because he did it in a most charming and sympathetic manner, answering questions very competently. He is highly recommended by us, a group of different aged cyclists from Germany, as we learnt about features in Utrecht that make us curious to re-visit the city. Thanks, Raphaël for the wonderful and memorable tour.

Raphaël is an excellent tour guide, and I highly recommend him. He is very knowledgeable about Utrecht, including its history, cycling culture, and much more. Doing the tour on bikes made it so much fun and easy. We also covered a lot more territory on bikes compared to walking. We just completed a three-week vacation in Europe, and Raphaël's tour was one of the highlights of our trip. --Rob

We took the kayak tour with Raphael. It hit all the hallmarks of a great city tour: town history, interesting facts and stories, refreshments all while kayaking through the canals. Raphael is very kind and knows the city very well. Definitely worth the price and it was one of the highlights of our trip.

Raphael was an amazing tour guide. His love for Utrecht, its history, its culture, and its people came through loud and clear. He led a wonderful tour for my parents and myself along the River Vecht and I would HIGHLY recommend the tour to anyone wanting a unique experience while visiting the Netherlands.
