Ein ganz tolles Freilichtmuseum. Es gibt sehr viel zu sehen. Tolle alte Fachwerkhäuser, sehr viel Natur. Alles ist mit sehr viel Liebe und Herzblut renoviert, dekoriert, arangiert, beschriftet. Man erlebt eine Zeitreise durch die Jahrhunderte und erfährt sehr viel wissenswertes von dem alltäglichen Leben in all den Jahrhunderten. Sehr vieles wird auch anschaulich dargestellt, wie wird ein Korb hergestellt oder wie arbeitet der Schmied, wie wurde früher das Brot hergestellt und sehr vieles mehr. Hier kann man sich den ganzen Tag aufhalten und es wird nie langweilig. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Für eine ruhige und detaillierte Besichtigung sollte man 3-4 Stunden einplanen. Interesse an der Vergangenheit sollte man mitbringen. In vielen Fachwerkhäusern sind gesonderte Ausstellungen welche teilweise durch Mitarbeiter erklärt werden und man ausprobieren kann. Die alten Häuser sind nicht barrierefrei. Kostenlose Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden, die Sanitäranlagen und genug Verpflegung gibt es auch im Park.

Interessant auch das Konzept, den Marktplatz mit diversen Einkaufsmöglichkeiten frei zugänglich zu machen und erst, wer den Park weiter erkunden will bezahlt den Eintritt. Hier findet jeder interessante Details, von der Fotoausstellung über den Bäcker, dessen Nussecken übrigens göttlich sind, bis zur Herstellung von Seilen. Ausstellungen in den einzelnen Häusern locken zum eintreten und für Kinder ist das gesamte Areal natürlich ein Paradies. Nicht zuletzt durch die Tiere! Der sonnige Samstag lockte viele Besucher, denen wir als Aussteller interessante, handgemachte Produkte bieten konnten. Auch der verregnete Sonntag brachte noch einige wetterfeste Besucher - haben wir so nicht erwartet. Offensichtlich ist der Hessenpark bei jedem Wetter einen Besuch wert. Und wir können dem nur zustimmen.

Hier ist es wunderbar. Die Geschichte der alten Zeit nachvollziehen zu können. Wie die Menschen damals gelebt und gearbeitet haben . Da merkt man erst einmal, was für einen Luxus wir jetzt haben.

Wir waren das letzte Mal vor acht Jahren hier und können sagen, dass der Hessenpark heute noch attraktiver geworden ist. Am Pfingstsonntag war der Park mehr als gut besucht. In einigen Häusern wurden durch freiwillige Helfer zusätzliches gezeigt und wir haben durch Gespräche interessante Zusatzinformationen erhalten. Viele Häuser sind mit Gegenständen aus der Vergangenheit ausgestattet, was sehr interessant ist. Für Kinder gib es einen schönen Spielplatz mit einem angrenzenden kleinen Restaurant und reichlich Sitzplätzen im Freien. Der Eintrittspreis ist für das Angebot fair. Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden und kostenfrei nutzbar. Alle Mitarbeiter:innen sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Unsererseits eine klare Empfehlung

This place was SO large. I took my 5 year old and we spent several hours there and still didn't see everything. All the neat little houses and businesses you get to see inside of. My son loved all the animals around the place, especially the rabbits. We really enjoyed climbing into the windmill.
