We stopped in here for a snack after visiting the Palace. Very tasty pastries. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Seating inside and outside. We really enjoyed our visit.
Good variety of products and the location is close to the castle. We got some pretzels which were average-priced. Some of the pretzels were not very fresh. The staff didn't speak English and denied to accept cash.
Bachspielhaus, located conveniently next to the Palace in Munich, is a decent spot for a quick stop during your visit. However, the cappuccino is disappointing, as it’s made with an automatic machine, resulting in subpar quality and not good foam. While the location is great for a rest, coffee enthusiasts might want to consider other nearby options for a better cup.
Good pastries and pretzels to go, there are also tables if you wish to stay and enjoy your croissant and a coffee. Prices are average, quality too. The only expensive thing is the coffee, but the rest is quite good. There aren't so many places open in the morning around the Nymphenburg palace. Plenty of parking places nearby.
Great place to visit after visiting the palace! Love the ambience and they are pet friendly too 😊
I like to visit this place, huge variety of tasty bakeries, average coffee, location and outside seating places are so good. You can always grab something and have a walk near by.
Best bakery in this area!! Yummy and fresh!!
A perfect place to go after visiting places in Munich on a rainy cold day. The cafe was full inside so we sat outside. Lots of variety of cakes and sandwiches to eat with a perfect hot coffee. We had a chocolate cake and a cheese cake the portions were good enough and reasonably priced. Good vegetarian options. Cakes were tasty and we loved the ciabatta Mozzarella. A perfect place to stop after visiting Schloss Nymphenburg.
Stopped here on our way to Nymphenburg and grabbed sandwiches, cheese pretzel and peach slice as well as coffees to drink. Really nice food and decent coffee. Just beware the ducks, gulls and geese outside as we tried to eat as we walked to Nymphenburg and it was near impossible with the way they harassed us 😂
The café is beautifully located in a prime area, making it a lovely spot to relax. My favorite item here is the Mandarin Cheesecake — it’s absolutely delicious! The coffee isn’t the best, but the bakery items definitely make it worth a visit.
Cozy cafe that was working in early morning. Testy traditional cake. Nice Merry Christmas 🎄 decoration
I think it's a brilliant marketing strategy by the owner. The cafe was strategically located within just 10 minutes walk to Nymphenburg Palace. Hence, people will stop by to have some refreshments before or after visiting the tourist spot. Although there's a long queue, we didn't have to wait too long before ordering. The pastries are very well-presented and look appetizing. The prices are decent and the pastries sure tastes good. The staffs were friendly as well. Worth a rest after visiting the palace.
Had an egg salad sandwich. A-ma-zing! Woman behind the counter was a bit upthight. Wish she smiled a bit more. My mate had a salmon sandwich and it was great.
Bakery with amazing pastries and breads. The Pfauenaugen was incredible with a perfect sablé dough, buttery and crisp. The apple cake was delicious, and the mozzarella, tomato, and basil ciabatta was also excellent. 100% recommended!
I went there with my kids and only chose this place because it’s one of the few open on Sundays. Unfortunately, the staff lacked empathy and came across as cold. On top of that, the coffee was terrible—they use very poor automatic machine. If you don’t enjoy working with people or children, you shouldn’t be in this industry. It left us feeling unwelcome.
Nice spot, however they don't like to serve an expresso with a glass of water (as it is normal to have in several places around Europe, without having to ask for it). I actually did ask for it (tap water), in which they gave. But afterwards, they were complaining inside of the balcony, that if I want water I needed to pay for it (a bottle of water). These people don't know how to provide a service, as an expresso should always be served with a small glass of water and it was not very ethical and not professional discussing that in front of the customers. These people should learn how to be a professional and maybe they should travel more to know about good service. Rude staff. Welcome to Bavaria
Thanks for the discrimination.. There are no tags in most of the products, not even in German, so you don't know what you're buying or what you're paying. The line is endless and the management is a mess (they shout that there is another cash deck available even though you want stuff from where you're standing) so even if it's your turn you can't make an order. And lastly they gave our order in some plastic while everyone else got a plate. Won't be visiting again.
