The place is the perfect blend between historic Munich coming together with finest luxurious food and drinks. This place houses some of best beef cuts, Bavarian sausages to some of best caviars. This is your place if you are exotic fruits. They house a huge selection of chocolates and beautifully wrapped gifts. I am also a huge fan of their tartes and cakes. Also note that you can order online from them, either you can do self pick up or you can get it as home delivery. You can also enjoy their coffee in their cafe and try their mouth watering selection of deserts.

Overwhelmed once i entered the store. It sells everything related to food. From butchery, fresh seafood, cheese, desserts, wine, tea... You name it. Very good to shop for a gift and gourmet stuff. Very crowded. Price is of course higher due to its good offering.

I had salmon fillet (it was good but unsalted) and also some dessert( sweet but a little dry). The shop is very well presented and it looks delightful. I would go back there and spend more time taking photos.

It is undiscussable that Dallmayr is one of the hot spots in Munich for shopping for food and wines. We found the service inconsistent depending on the sections where we were served in this beautiful busy shop. We bought plenty of liquor and some chocolate. While we found the liqueur section well-maintained, the bottles are nicely displayed, and the shopkeepers are challenging to approach, the chocolate counter looked messy, not clean and the quality mediocre. The dried apple covered with chocolate, taste old, the chocolate is mediocre and the price is not justified. Furthermore about the cashier at the liquor section: The impression was that the man at the cashier was rather annoyed to see us handing out the 2 baskets filled with gin and other bottles; he act super busy and run away from the counter, ignoring us wanting to pay, when we asked he said there are over 20 cashiers in the shop and we should go and pay somewhere else. We walked to other cashiers much more kindly and helpful. The total experience was not very pleasant reason why I think that 2 stars is a generous rate

Vintage gourmet store with lots of food and gift selections. Many transitional Cake flavor but can be sold out early. Good selections of coffee beans too. Loved their Ethiopian Crown.

In need of gourmet gifts representative and typical of Munich, so I paid Dallmayr a visit. This gourmet grocer offers various deli counters, as well as a bakery and sells wine & spirits, tea shop, chocolate & sweets, preserves and more. You can also grab a drink and a bite right there on the ground floor or go upstairs. The team members working there on a Saturday afternoon were extremely helpful and pointed me in the direction of gift options that were easy to pack in check-in luggage and that were truly symbolic of Bavaria. Definitely stop in to visit this Munich institution - eat there, or grab deli and / or grocery items to enjoy at home. Highly recommend.

I went to the cafe. It's been crowded since the afternoon, and I have to wait for a long time for my seat. The coffee is also expensive, but I couldn't say it was delicious, and I couldn't exceed my expectations. The service was slow and sloppy, and it was not worth drinking coffee here at a high cost. It was the only bad experience in Munich. I was planning to buy coffee beans as a souvenir, but I lost my mind. Also, the cake is not good.

We went to the cafe on the 1st floor on saturday. It was delicious as expected. But when I was waiting near the elevator for my friend, who wanted to wash her hands, I watched the bartenders a bit. However, I found the young man who was obviously responsible for the dishes very questionable. Not only that after putting away the dirty dishes he put away the clean dishes without washing his hands. So while he had previously reached into cups with leftovers, he now reached into the clean cups to put them away. But the hardest part was when he reached into the fruits (which are obviously intended for the guests' drinks) with the same unwashed hands. One of the barmaids then apparently pointed out the fruit tongs to him, but he just laughed and turned around. And although all surfaces around him were completely dirty with puddles of drinks and garbage and lots of dirty crockery and cutlery, he preferred to stare at his mobile phone. Having to watch that was pretty disgusting. Because hygiene and cleanliness are quality features. One actually expects from the name Dallmayr and these prices that hygiene is very important here. Especially, but not only in corona times. The young man should definitely spend less time on his cell phone and do his job more carefully.

A very interesting kind of ship that sells different food stuff. Goes from beef meat 🍖, fish 🐟, cheese 🧀, some caned vegetables, sweets, biscuits, chocolate 🍫 and coffee ☕️ beans.... Shop is devided into sections but no boundaries between them. Customers can easily walk in the shop and staff are friendly and helpful

Had brunch at the cafe bistro on the 2nd floor. You can take a lift up. Thr french press was almost twice the cost of a latte. It tasted like normal americano and lacking of aroma. Definitely not worth the cost. The bread given as a side had a floral taste to it which I'm not a fan of. Orange juice was freshly squeezed and the eggs benedict with smoked salmon and spinach was nicely done with runny egg yolk.

Expecting a really good lunch from the fancy ambiance and the price of this salad (€18,50), it was very disappointing to get a salad that was overly sweet - pomegranate, pear, baked pumpkin - with Parmesan cheese dried out and tasteless, untoasted walnuts and not enough dressing to mop up with the bread. Dressing did not have any or enough vinegar to cut through the sweetness. Also, the hole in the napkin in the bread basket just annoyed me. I asked for ginger tea and they said no, but we do have ginseng green tea. Got a tea with a lot of fruit in it, very sweet and €5,90.

I want to note that they have so many plant-based options and those are absolutely delicious. No matter what you buy there, you will have a great experience. The bread is also fantastic.

Looking for something for the person who already has everything? Check out their liquor section, and then get the Glenmorangie Pride 1974. It's "only" €7999.

What a wonderful gem in the city center! The shop has a great variety of high quality treats. It also has a hot and cold bar which will not disappoint. We were meeting with friends in the afternoon and decided to pick up a few snacks. All of them were a hit and devoured instantly!

Looking for papayas in January, fancy seafood and the biggest selection of cheese that Munich can offer besides the Viktualienmarkt? Then Dallmayr is your place to go. They offer anything with regards to fancy food. On a Saturday, one can expect long queues. Since summer 2021 they have added an outside area to their snack bar that one can also visit of the weather is not perfect. The food is rather pricey even for Munich but never bad. If you have time, check out their Michelin-star restaurant 'Alois' on the first floor.

Fabulous place if you like gourmet food and lots of choices. They have meats, cheese's, breads, coffee, tea, wine. They also have a deli butcher counter where they have everything you could possibly imagine. I could spend a lot of time in there and money. They also had an attached Cafe where the food looked delicious.

Always love stopping here. Great to see the older locals mixing with tourists. Smells and beautiful displays make you want to buy everything, but usually end up with Ethiopian coffee and a decadent pastry! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The place is very nice and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Most of the staff speak English and the food is always top quality. I would recommend the pralines. The store is located very close to Marienplatz in central Munich. During the COVID-19 pandemic one door is for entry only and the other door is exit only. The health precautions are excellent and the store visit is a must if you are visiting Munich.

Really enjoyed the atmosphere here. The gourmet food store is quite interesting with tons of variety to choose from. Most visitors come here for their coffee, but do try their chocolate too, it's quite good

It definitely reminded me of Harrods in England. To relax and drink coffee, you need to go to the cafe on the second floor. Everyone was very kind. We didn't try the desserts, but everyone around us certainly seemed to enjoy their dishes. There wasn't a single crumb left on anyone's plate..

The perfect place to shop for food, wine, coffee, bacon, sausages, chocolates and gifts all in one place. Their bacon and sausages are delicious. The quality of the coffee beans was good and the price wasn't too bad. Pork products such as bacon and sausage are also vacuum-packed.

Delicatessen Dallmayr is rightfully considered a Munich highlight and worth a visit at least once due to the amount of delicacies. The Dallmayr restaurant is exclusively for real gourmets and connoisseurs of interesting and unusual dishes. We really enjoyed.

We went at wrong time of day - the evening rush. Still, good efficient & courteous service, excellent food & drink; but could be more enjoyable at a more relaxed time-of-day. 😃

This place speaks for itself, a beautiful shop with delicious food & beverages. However, I’m writing this review specifically to congratulate Dallmayr with their extensive vegan selection. I’m really impressed that they have taken a lot of care and attention to offer great vegan foods, from many vegan pralines to vegan cheeses and a lot more. Compliments!

Very very smart food shop and delicatessen which exudes pure class...a sort of Munich version of Fortnum and Masons in London..but obviously no Royal connection. Worth a look for the drool value.

Having travelled the world, this will always be my favourite Delikatessen and food store anywhere. The produce is so fresh and of such quality that most food lovers are likely to spend hours there just looking in awe...

Reviews online claim they have the best coffee. It's good but similar to what you get at Coffee Fellows. The price for coffee is reasonable at less than 4euro. The hot chocolate is uninspiring. Not the melted chocolate one would expect from a fancy cafe, but those powdered kind you get from the supermarket. Skip the cafe and just browse the deli.

MORE THAN EXCELLENT SHOP AND DELICATESSEN WITH TOP LINE QUALITY PRODUCTS ESPECIALLY THE COFFEE PRODUCTS ARE UNBELIEVABLE EXCELLENT AS WELL AS THE SHOP AND RESTAURANT IT IS A MUST BE THERE WHEN ONE IS IN MUNICH AND I MOST SINCERELY RECOMMEND IT!!!

I've bought petits fours regularly from there for many years trying not to be bothered by the often rather unfriendly service. Today the shop assistant first scratched her head in front of me, then she could not explain what exactly the "Punsch" flavor is. I normally buy the other flavors but they had been sold out. First, she looked at me as if why I would ask such a question, and then she just said that it means alcohol. When you go shopping in Munich you kind of expect the shop assistant to be dull but her obvious ignorance of the products she sells and the indifference towards the customer was a bit too much today. So that's it. I decided not to go there anymore. Enough is enough.
