Master Riley has been teaching for a while and he has mastered his teaching formula. He is very patient with new students and he knows the right pace to teach his students. He has done well as an instructor to me and everyone I know that goes here.

Brett Riley has consistently showed a passion for teaching since I met him a few years ago. His passion and the way he motivates his students impresses me and I am proud that my son and I are a part of his organization. There are many martial arts schools to choose from. Master Riley is the best teacher I’ve ever had. His classes are engaging and provides a good workout both mentally and physically! Always leave with a smile. Great with kids both boys and girls, and adults men and women. He is always respectful and I have never felt uncomfortable in any of his classes. He is excellent at engaging beginners and advanced students. His knowledge and skill is astounding.

Master Riley is a true master at what he does. Our 2 older kids have attended for about 4 years, and in that time he has instilled many qualities that will serve them as adults. When our younger two kids were old enough to start, my wife and I started with them as well. Now all 6 of us attend. Master Riley is able to keep all of us challenged and engaged even though we are all at widely different skill levels. There are many other instructors that teach, which allows us to learn from different people which different teaching methods. As students progress in training, they are taught how to teach, which is an essential part of mastering anything, and is a life long skill that will stay with them as adults.

Strongly recommended! Master Brett Riley is a great leader and teacher of karate. He has a wonderful balance of patience, firmness, personal interest, and humor with his students, and his students learn traditional karate well in a progressive method. He has a host of other gifted instructors. I also like the flexible schedule of classes. Now I am going to classes along with 5 of our children, and the littlest one shows interest, but he is only three! The kids are developing strength, coordination, and self-confidence, and I appreciate the work outs and my developing flexibility and knowledge of self-defense. This is a great place!

Master Riley is one of the greatest martial arts instructors I have ever seen in my 13 years of karate experience. Over the past 13 years, he has not just helped me become an 11 time national champion and a 2 time international champion, he has helped me become a better person by instilling the values of perseverance, dedication, and self-discipline. Master Riley’s dojang has given me a second family that I sometimes love more than my actual family. So what I don’t understand is how someone can write fake reviews about him while using his daughter’s and my name. By the way, I’m the real Marcus Riley.

West Haven is the best place to take your kids to learn Karate! Master Riley is a great role model for my son and daughter and I look forward to their growth, in part influenced from what they learn under his leadership. Not only is he teaching Karate but they are also learning discipline, manners, leadership, respect for leadership and much more. Master Riley inspires loyalty which is clear from all of the black belt volunteers assisting with training. I look forward to my kids advancing to black belt where they can also volunteer to help others learn the art and further grow their leadership skills.

My home away from home. My family outside of my family. I've been training here for 6 years and I can't tell you how much I have genuinely loved every moment of it. Dont just take my word for it come on in. I hope to see more people training. As I believe everybody should learn some type of self-defense to protect themselves, the ones they love or hold dear, and even their neighbor amongst the one's who cannot defend themselves. The more people that uphold what is good the less room there is for evil to stand on.
