I came for lunch around 1230 and ordered a Gyro pita sandwich. It was delicious. I also got the Raspberry crumb cake which tasted like ginger. It wasn’t sweet and I barely tasted the raspberry. I took one bite and then threw the rest away. One of the older male staff was a mildly unprofessional. I was hit on by the staff and would have preferred to just have got my lunch without the added and unnecessary conversation.

Conveniently located within walking distance of the nearby Middlesex County Court House, Post Office & TD Bank, Legal Grounds Cafe is a great spot to grab breakfast & lunch in New Brunswick! Excellent service with a great atmosphere, you'll find a variety of options on their menu serving flavorful coffee, breakfast & lunch sandwiches, salads, soups, gyros, wraps, falafel, snacks, drinks & more! Perfect for a quick, delectable, home cooked meal. Truly a local hidden gem! They also installed an ice cream window for the warm summer days where you want something Sweet that cold you down. 🍦🍦🍦🍦

Fantastic local establishment. Great simple breakfast and lunches. Pricing is really affordable. Nice atmosphere. Dining is available indoors. Ate there every day I was in town. Go you want be disappointed.

Every day you stand and listen to the owner and cashier bicker which is uncomfortable in itself. Today was IT ...apparently if you call ahead your order does NOT matter. I'm not asking for special treatment; I even waited an extra 15 minutes after the time indicated to me for pick up out of consideration of it being busy. The owner proceeds to be very rude and unprofessional; there is a way in which you speak to people especially reoccurring customers who are the reason you're even in business, I proceeded to tell him do not be rude to me and he rudely and loudly states: "now you're making trouble, that's how you are taking it" So you're going to be rude to me then gaslight me too, lol! I do not care how busy you are you don't speak like that to people. If calling ahead does not matter, then word to the wise do not answer your phone to take orders. Needless to say I'll never return there, I let dozens of people& coworkers know about the Thursday/Friday Fish special and they've all gone. I'll be sure to update them& let them know if you want some rude with a fish sandwich on the side, that's your place! Never again.

A rustic coffee house. The breakfast is nice and boss is friendly.

Small deli located half a block from the courthouse, so it's a place jurors eat out of proximity and necessity. Food is standard deli sandwiches, though not nearly as good as a traditional Italian deli. When I was there, the old guys behind the counter were arguing a bit, which created some atmosphere. I would never go there again unless I was at the courthouse and it were raining because its serviceable, otherwise, my recommendation is to walk an extra block or two and find a better place to eat.

Great place to grab a bite. I like their Fried Whiting sandwich. It's just as good and better than other shops in the area.

Always delicious and the owner is very funny! The camel wrap is my go to breakfast sandwich, the Chipotle sauce goes so well with it! The Zaatar is a tasty Lebanese snack as well. That's delicious with Feta and Tomatoe added. For lunches ill usually get the gyro/chicken gyro over salad or over rice. Mr. G has the best tzaziki sauce I've ever had. If in the area, or at court for the day, definitely check out Legal Grounds Cafe!

Ate at one of the 3 tables outside. They do have indoor dining. Had the chicken gyro and it tasted very good. Plenty of things on the menu that they will cook in front of you. I observed plenty of local workers eating there/picking up from there police/day laborers/construction/tradesmen. Looks like the local place to get things to start your day. Across from the courthouse. I do recommend coming here for a quick/cheap bite to eat. I work overnights at the hospital and wish I knew about this place sooner. It's easy walking distance from where I park my car.

Came here for breakfast, got a sausage egg and cheese on a roll. Food was pretty good but not anything to rave about. They’ve got standard breakfast items, lunch options, and (interestingly) middle eastern/Mediterranean options. Prices are pretty solid for the area, got the roll and a coffee for $5.80. Good little cafe to stop in if you’re in the area looking for a budget bite.

Not a good experience. Being it was my first time entering. Of course I said Hello and Good morning and the man with the wild hair and no hair net looked at me like I had two heads and that was that. So of course I walk out.

Daily stop spot for coffee and breakfast catching the morning trains out of New Brunswick. Right across the street from the courthouse for jurors who need to catch a quick lunch. Fun staff, always friendly and inviting. Big selection of wraps and gyros.

This is a place to come to if you enjoy some good banter and good food. Very unassuming place but well worth dropping in to.

I usually only come for breakfast because it’s convenient and tasty… Some days it’s a hit or miss, depending on folks mood… Today I got lectured about the menu, I wanted everything on a wrap no tomatoes, then I was told we don’t have everything, so I ordered lettuce, onions, turkey, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar, this is what I got…. I went back to the store and the person said “I did put everything on it” then this is the food I got. I don’t appreciate spending money on food and being felt like I made a mistake trying to order food.

We started with breakfast sandwiches and an amazing Fatouch salad for breakfast. It was so good we went back and had another one for lunch. The food was fresh and amazing. The owner was super friendly. Just an all-around great experience. We definitely recommend.

Giving this a 5 for atmosphere is a bit odd. I wanted to give it a 1. Because it's really not that kind of place. You go there for the New Jersey diner gestalt (complete with the insults). The food is actually good and so is the coffee though.

Legal Grounds Cafe is the go-to spot for delicious breakfast sandwiches topped with mouthwatering bacon, egg, and a personal favorite Giardiniera cream cheese on an everything bagel.

It's right next to the courthouse, which is why its name is 5/5 funny. I grab breakfast food and coffee with my friends here and it's just the best. The guys who own the place are hysterical, so make friends with them if you can. The Filipina lady is my favorite person. I ordered the falafel wrap on her recommendation and I have no regrets about that. This place is great!

I appreciated that the new cook made my order so cheesy and delicious. No regular coffee or milk that day though. I had seen the owner kinda run off a customer. Probably was cranky that day. Hopefully, he's more chipper on other days.

The food here is good, no matter what you order. Reasonable prices. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. The owner Johnny is very friendly with the customers.
