Extremely overrated! We went for a C-section and stayed there for 2 days. The room is extremely disappointing, furniture looks very old and worn out, both side lights above the patients bed were broken and malfunctioning, the TV didnt work and when it did you wouldn’t be able to watch anything due to the low quality cables that are used. The toilet is old and not well maintained with pealing walls, the windows of the room looked like they were never cleaned as they were packed with dust and debris Even the bed provided to the accompanying person is extremely uncomfortable and gave me ugly back pain! The night shift nursing staff are extremely under qualified and unprofessional. When we asked for pain killers our requests were completely ignored, the staff in the hallways are very loud and noisy that you wouldn’t be able to sleep or put your baby to sleep. On out check out day our medical report was delayed and took 3 hours to complete while we were just waiting in the room with a crying baby! Even when they gave us the report it was highly flawed and had the wrong diagnosis… In conclusion, Shifa just built itself a brand name through marketing and they sell themselves as the best in the country, yet this is a big lie and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to get any service with them!

Not good at all comparing the value with the cost. As many people in the reviews mentioned, it's more of a hotel not a hospital. It's very clean but the system and management and accordingly the service there is  not very good, in my opinion. The nurses are good but the system is bad and it was a hassle for me to deal with them when my mother was there in the intermediate care unit. Everything there is delayed and they keep you waiting or telling you to wait and not get things done or call you back. You have to ask several times and wait a lot. Especially the reports are very delayed and even the manager tells us it's out and he'll send it but he doesn't. when we ask they keep saying it will be out soon and keep us waiting and going back and forth. They sometime tell us it's out and you can find it downstairs, when we go downstairs they say it not here and so on. One excuse was that no doctor was there to write the report on a friday morning. Even the hospital's doctor said that the reports are of a bad quality.  I don't know what's going on between the doctros and I am sure they know better, but I have the feeling that things are not orangnized and each doctor discovers a new thing although the xrays, blood test results, reports etc are sitting there from earlier. We waited for few days to see the consulting doctor. They don't really clarify what's wrong. I told them that there's a medication she had to take they said we'll see when I asked they said she's taking it and then one doctor said a week later that she didn't take it so far and  and is wondering why and said that she has to take it although I've been telling them a week before.  Many doctors (not all) are arrogant. One curtan was missing and we asked for it they said it's in the laundry. I kept asking and it took them 1 week! All in all, I felt that it wasn't a convenient experience at all and I believe the management should work harder on improving their systems especially avoiding delays and improving communication between doctors and different sectors.

I'm absolutely in disbelief by the level of carelessness at this hospital. I have a severe injury in my right quadriceps muscle, and the pain is excruciating. I'm unable to move, so I had to call an ambulance to take me to the hospital and back. I went there for an MRI specifically on my right thigh, as clearly indicated in my prescription. But..it's astonishing how they managed to make such a BASIC mistake. Instead of scanning my right thigh, they scanned my right knee. This error cost me an extra day off from work and additional expenses. The hospital staff IS COMPLETELY CLUELESS AND INCOMPETENT. I strongly advise anyone seeking medical care to think twice before choosing this hospital, as their level of incompetence and disregard for patients is beyond belief. If it were possible, I'd give this hospital a negative rating. One star is actually a compliment to them.

Can you imagine going to the emergency in a hospital and being told your case is not urgent and we don't have a doctor for you now .. wow i have a blocked chest with continuous coughing and 38 degrees body temperature and all what they did was checking my blood pressure!! How convenient… and I couldn’t wait forever to book an appointment with the clinics as they suggested… nothing was done and I left very disappointed

Worst hospital system ever. Doesn't have good doctors at clinics. They only cares about money and charge you for higher service even if you don't need. Bad management system. The reception system doesn't make any sense, have to the counter many times per visit.. Overall bad hospital with bad service

Obviously, good achievements do not last forever. I had a bad experience getting information regarding certain procedure cost, however the call center staff are trained to drive the patient crazy. He (Mohammed Ramadan) couldn't transfer me to the proper department claiming that based on the hospital management rules I must come in person. I tried to level with him that I need to get these information first so I could make my decision rather than making the trip to the hospital and decide not to go through the procedure. Apparently, I was talking to a brick wall.

If I could give this place even less than one star I would. The worst treatment I've ever seen and they abuse the fact that you have insurance to try to benefit more money. Delaying 2 blood bags for anemia and stretching the process so they force you to stay for 2 days in the hospital for absolutely no reason. Writing the wrong reason in the report to the insurance company to justify the 2 day process leading to the rejection of the insurance company to something they otherwise would've accepted if they had wrote the correct reason in the report. And then proceeding to ignore the patient and their request to fix said mistake. And to top it all off with the cherry on top they cant even place the needle properly for an IV, leading to it BENDING IN THE PATIENTS ARM and refusing to take responsibility and minimizing the problem although it took SIX nurses to try and salvage it and take it out. Horrible and a disgrace beyond measure.

I recently had a great experience at Shifa Hospital. The ER services were prompt and efficient, and the staff were very caring and attentive. I also had an OPD consultation and found the doctors to be knowledgeable and thorough in their assessments. The surgical operations team was highly skilled and made me feel comfortable throughout the process. The facilities at the hospital are top-notch, and the staff is always willing to go the extra mile to make patients feel comfortable. They have a fully equipped ambulance too. I highly recommend Shifa Hospital for anyone seeking quality healthcare services.

My father was having an emergency at the airport and his doctor work at this hospital, I called their call center and informed them that it was an emergency and that I needed to talk to his doctor urgently to seek his advice on what to do and they declined to give me his private number. My father is one of their patients and was admitted several times in the past and he used to follow up with his condition regularly with his doctor at their hospital. Unfortunately when he needed to talk to his doctor the most, they declined to give us access.

Absolutely amazed with how my septoplasty went thanks to Dr Michael Mounir. Fantastic teamwork making a complicated job feel very easy, great experience and aftercare. These guys really do not get the credit that they deserve, I just wish to use this opportunity to thank doctors and nurses from Shifa for the outstanding care I've got there.

The care my son received in the Shafi Hospital Cairo was excellent. We could not fault their skill, care and attention at a traumatic time. What also sets the hospital apart is the care and support they offer to the patients family. They went above and beyond to make sure the stress of a sudden illness was not compounded by being in a foreign country and trying to navigate beurocracy. Well done everyone. We will always be in your debt.

The staff is incompetent... They forgot to gave a patient anti-emetic medicine directly after stomach surgery. Plus We had to buy extra pain medication just for her to coop with the after surgery pain. Very noisy staff at the front desk. No regards to the in-room patients and their need to rest

Incompetent staff. Doctors are defensive, give incorrect information because they have not read the charts (rather than taking the time time to review the case before they talk with the patient and their family). They are defensive and start getting angry when you ask questions. The nursing staff neglects to do basic things like turning unconscious patients so that they do not get bed sores. Facilities at the hospital are good but the staff is just terrible. Avoid avoid avoid.

Hospital is a very nice, very good doctor. But their appointment booking system sucks. The biggest problem is with call center no 15051, they can not understand anything, every time they transfer the call to the emergency department to make a doctor consultation appointment. Do not dare to call to book an appointment, better to walk in directly.

A good place to get medical services. There is an English-speaking manager at the outpatient reception. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name of the one I was lucky enough to meet there. She was extremely friendly and helpful. In addition, the interior design is nice and there are many comfortable seats along the corridors and in the reception areas to keep you satisfied while waiting. The only one negative point is that the hospital is overcrowded in the evening. To avoid this traffic, just try to come before 12 noon.

I just want to thank the management and all the medical and support staff for the excellent care , the smiling faces , and the willingness to help from each one we met starting from the emergency to the ICU. I’ll also never forget the comfort Dr. Fawzy at the icu provided. Also all the nursing staff: Maged, Mohamed, Mahmoud, Manar, Sawsan led by their head mrs. Samar (I think). Please keep up the amazing work

I would 100% recommend the shifa’s hospital (outside clinics department) to any of my friends and family. Very Friendly and exceptional NOHA. I cannot thank her enough. She has been able to organise everything needed. Amazing service if you looking for full check up, Ask about Noha at the clinics department; she’s so organised, she know what she’s doing & what’s right to do for patients and caring about customers. just follow her! Thank you Noha for your customer service. Much appreciated 🙏

I had a dislocated shoulder, upon leaving my car i was met with a wheel chair up the ramp to meet a welcoming staff and a doctor that gave me a wide range of options and i opted for sedation and relocated my shoulder in no time and at ease. Highly recommend for the best care and staff hospitality. The rooms are also a plus giving the patient the privacy and enough time for recovery. Thank you shifa.

The best hospital in Egypt, hands down. General recommendation is to schedule your operations at night if possible, will be less crowded and parking slots can be found much easier. First time admission to the hospital for a delivery - C section. Our doctor was a private dr who recommended the hospital, babycare is really amazing, in general the nursing staff are really very caring, professional, and they aren’t showing any sign that they are expecting anything in return, one of them (in baby-care) refused to take any tip and said that it’s her job and that this will be an insult to her. There is a self-evident structure and process in every single step. Every now and then the Dr - head of the medical/amin team do a round of check with us if we are happy and being taken care of. Admission procedures could be improved to be shorter but again with the quality i got later on i was ready to tolerate this part. It’s best that if you are insured is to send them the approval for the operation ,etc on their whatsApp ( and ask them to proactively validate it with their contracts team before your arrival so they don’t have to keep you waiting to check while you are in. 4 stars instead of 5 due to communication gaps between the departments - at admission despite that i sent them the insurance approval 3 days ahead, when i arrived at night they were ( surprised & not sure if the approval is correct) and they need to validate it in the morning and asked to pay a downpayment till they confirm the next day, i refused and insisted that they admit us and takecare of this themselves which what happened eventually after i talked with the manager, same applies when i was leaving i asked them clearly once day before that they need to declare to me any expenses i need to approve early on, they told me everything was ok to be surprised that i need to pay 2700 EGP for a childcare that i could have approved early on!! I paid it for the sake of time but it wasn’t ok. Still my opinion still the same on the service part, on communication there is a big gap needs to be fixed.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Shifa Hospital for a check-up, and I must say that it was the best experience I've had in a medical facility to date. I would like to extend my deepest appreciation and commendation to Mrs. Noha Adly, who works in the check-up department. Her remarkable professionalism and dedication truly made a positive impact on my visit. Mrs. Noha Adly exhibited a high level of competence and provided invaluable assistance throughout the entire process. Not only was she incredibly helpful, but she also conducted all the necessary procedures promptly, which I greatly appreciated. Her elegant and patient approach towards me as a patient made me feel comfortable and reassured during my visit. Mrs. Adly's exceptional customer service skills were evident, as she attentively listened to my concerns and addressed them with utmost care and empathy. I am truly grateful to Mrs. Noha Adly for her outstanding service, which exceeded my expectations. Her expertise and attentiveness undoubtedly made a significant difference in my overall experience at Shifa Hospital. Her dedication to ensuring a smooth and efficient check-up process is commendable and deserves recognition. In addition to Mrs. Adly's exceptional service, Shifa Hospital itself impressed me. The hospital maintains a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene, creating a welcoming and safe environment for patients. The reasonable prices for the services provided further contributed to the overall positive experience. Shifa Hospital truly stands out as a healthcare facility that combines quality care with affordability. In conclusion, I cannot express enough gratitude to Mrs. Noha Adly for her assistance and professionalism during my visit to Shifa Hospital.
