Great
fireworks
again
as
usual.
This
year
though,
they
had
some
very
bright
mortars
with
loud
reports...
Noise?
Fine.
But
the
flash
was
as
bright
as
a
welding
arc
and
fear
it
may
have
caused
permanent
eye
damage
to
some
folks.
Now,
we
go
to
lots
of
firework
shows,
so
we
timed
it
out
to
about
every
17
or
so
units...
But
ya...
Those
were
the
brightest
fireworks
I've
ever
seen,
and
not
in
a
good
way
either.
Usually,
this
show
has
a
very
nice
blend
of
technical
displays,
good
reports,
nice
shower
blends
and
they
do
their
research
on
new
things
other
pyrotechnicians
simply
don't
have
or
do.
But
man,
those
single
types
of
flashes
were
brutal
on
the
eyes
and
lots
of
people
around
us
complained
too.
Road
Trip
had
this
new
base
cube
too
and
wow
was
their
system
VERY
LOUD.
Not
that
I
care,
but
wondering
if
the
neighborhood
felt
the
difference.
I've
watched
road
trip
a
lot
and
they
are
very
good
but
the
sound
tech
had
this
year's
show
cranked
to
11..
If
I
had
my
sound
meter
I'd
bet
it
would
peak
past
150db
at
the
picnic
tables.
That's
approaching
jet
engine
loud
and
permanent
hearing
loss
levels.
I
don't
mean
to
be
a
negative
Nancy
but
rather,
just
trying
to
help
with
some
pointers
to
keep
this
show
going
strong.
I
ran
sound
for
bands,
and
this
was
too
much.
The
treble
couldn't
skirt
over
the
bass,
the
mix
was
just
too
loud
and
it
pushed
the
vocals
into
distortion
when
trying
to
compensate.
