The place is huge... i didn't even know it was there. I literally had tears in my eyes... just books books everywhere for THREE floors. I asked for books from a popular author and they are the only sales persons who actually knew what i was talking about... 100% would recommend.

Really glad to have found this place as book loving Kingston newcomer. A wide array of books spread over 3 floors - you really could spend a few hours perusing the endless shelves and then walk out with an armful of great reads at very good prices. The person I assume to be the owner was very helpful and friendly as well. Will be back as soon as I finish my latest stack!

I went in search of a book that was out of stock but I left with a few finds. There's always something at Bookland for everyone because they have a very extensive collection of books by a wide variety of authors and types or genres. I was left alone to wander and I appreciated that. Customer service is excellent and it was a very sociable experience.

BEAUTIFUL. Not a back to school bookstore. a quiet place for actual reading of actual reading books at reasonable prices. Something this island has been lacking. DEFINITELY recommend it. And make sure if you go, check out upstairs for the bargains and the seating area. love ittttt

Very Bad Service. I'm very disappointed with an experience I had at Bookland on Nov. 1, 2018. I attempted to visit this place at 5:55pm. When I got there the grille shutters were long pulled. One of the workers inside looked out. I expressed my dissatisfaction through the glass door and grille and pointed to their opening hrs sign and to my watch and phone since Google also has the same opening hours, indicating that It was not yet 6. She behaved as if they had pulled the shutters in error exclamating; "Is not 6 o clock!!!" Yet she did not apologise or open the doors since she 'apparently' made an error with closing before the time. I looked but did not see the owner. I suspect that was the employees reason for trying to leave earlier than usual. I walked away and went to the other bookstore at Sagicor Shopping Centre, they close at 6 and they were still open because it was still not yet 6 o clock. Poor service Bookland.

A REAL bookstore. Not for back to school like the other bookstores in Jamaica. If they put in a reading nook...I'll never leave. You can also ask for books and they'll actually know what you are talking about. Praying they bring back magazines
