Historical.... Beautiful shopping alleys, and culture streets... This is what I can say about this old streets where its have a great combination that suitable for us as non local tourist to enjoy and visit. Shopping absolutely the best activities to do here. I remember some of the souvenirs and goods offers are cheaper than in the Taipei city center... Absolutely. Local food to try and for Muslim travellers you just asked them what to have and if any halal logo products that you may buy from them as they do have that. Friendly and very helpful people around this area made this place worth visits. Bubble tea which is consider healing for those have walk at the sea side area here are worth to try. Same goes with their local ice-cream that delicious and full of flavours.

Nostalgic feels. Was early getting here, so most shops are still shut. But there is one that I had visited 10 years ago, it was opened to serve their popular dishes. Must try if you are at Danshui. Many Taiwanese biscuit shops you can buy single piece to try from their wide range of products. Which is good if you don't want to buy big packets. Also venture into their market area, interesting for those who only knows marketing in supermarkets. Will be an experience to have.

Did not come here for the market because you get the same food in downtown Taipei but came here for the bike rental and watching the sunset. Rent your bike right outside the train station without the need for a ubike app but you do need to leave your passport as collateral. Roads are crowded with bike and people but just ride slowly and be a respectful tourist.

A great place to experience their culture and street food. Was very fortunate that we were able to come and experience their dragon boat festival. Many performances were held during the festival, which showcase their culture. Street food was good tooπŸ‡ΉπŸ‡ΌπŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ

Plenty of shops! I found 2 shops with cute souvenirs. One of them sells tea, coffee drip, and instant brown sugar boba packaged inside a post card!

The old street has many small stores, majority are food stands, it worthy to spend few hours to eat and shop in this area. The nearby beach has beautiful sunset and street artist singers.

If wanna go to Tamshui Old Street, just turn right after you come out from Tamshui MRT station. You can go street through the Tamshui Golden Anchor (it's a leisure park) along the Tamshui River. Until the end, you will see the traditional old street lined with lively shops, including cake shops and grocery stores with a strong ancient flavor, as well as trendy clothing with toys. In the evening, you can also enjoy the beautiful scenery of the sunset setting into the sea on the Tamshui Golden Anchor walk.

Very scenic and beautiful place. Though food stalls basically all sell the same thing. But great to find a nice coffee place to sit down relax and soak in the atmosphere.

One of the areas that you may consider to visit. A big street market inside and near the shores. Suggest to find some merchandise or things to bring back since a bit cheaper here. One of the best spots to enjoy sunset as well.

Really nice seaside place. You can take very nice photos and there is plenty of food stalls and restaurants along the road. I would recommend going midweek if you want to go and take photos without people on your frame cause on the weekend it was packed !

Nice to visit but can remove if you are in tight schedule. Beach and mountain at the same place, maybe nicer if sunrise/ sunset. street food with some speciality only there: iron egg, sponge cake, must-try ah gei and fish ball at Original Ah-Gei (walk up to the hill to find the place)

Great place for food! Near the river and has beautiful scenery, you can take a little boat to the other side, but there might be a long queue for it.

The first place you see when exit the northenmost red station. Railway station has a long history build since 1901. In this small park you will find some art installation, giant mud skipper and an old locomotive. My kids had lots of fun with the huge fishes biting them.

Such a nice place to relax, walk, and enjoy any time of the day, especially in the evening. There are so many shops around. Along the road there are also many benches. The park right outside the metro station is huge and clean. I cannot think of any better place to enjoy the evening.
