My husband bought me an oil painting class for Christmas and it has been the best thing ever! It's the highlight of my week to meet together with all the people in the class and discuss art and to make paintings ❀️ What a great way to get through the tough months of winter. I would highly recommend them! Painting inspirations by: Grace Alfonso Holly Storie Lenn Hopkins Ivana Besevic Unknown Artist Neil Carroll

***Update: The studio did end up responding to our email a week later and profusely apologized. They provided our son with a few private lessons to make up for the class scheduling snafoo. Thank you for your attention and support for this concern. ****** We registered our 8-year-old son for two of the Art Studio NY's art camps: Beginner Architecture and Beginner Weekly Comics and Cartooning Drawing. Both are online as we do not live in NY. The Architecture class has been fine: instructor was great and supportive! This review is specifically for the Beginner Weekly Comics and Cartooning class, and overall responsiveness to our concerns by the company. The first class, the instructor arrived very late with about 15 minutes left in class. Last week's class, the instructor never opened up the Zoom meeting so my son sat in front of the computer just waiting in case the instructor came at the last 15 minutes again. We emailed Art Studio NY and only received a generic email back saying they will respond to us soon. Today, a week has passed and I have yet to receive an email from them. Additionally, today, our son was to do the Comics and Cartoons class again at 4pm, but it is 4:30pm and we are still waiting "for the host to start this meeting". I have called Art Studio NY and left a message, as it immediately went to voicemail, and am feeling quite disheartened by the attention given to our concerns. Now, I have to tell my 8-year-old son that class is not happening, again. I hope now we are able to get some level of a refund back for the payment we sent over for a class my son was never able to attend because the instructor never came on and we never received any communication around their absence and if there is a possibility for a make-up session. Thank you for your attention and I do hope someone from the Art Studio NY reads this review and finally return our email/phone call.

This place is AMAZING! My daughter, who is 4 year old, went to the Art studio NY for a camp and she LOVED it! The teachers and the staff were super nice and she came back with a stunning painting! I adore that this place nurtures the creativity of little (and big) ones and let them explore their imagination in a structured way! We cannot wait to go back!!!

I took a virtual class with Rebecca through a work event. She is such a great teacher, moving the class along at a manageable pace while keeping things engaging, educational, and fun. I was shocked at what I was able to draw and how easy it was following her instruction. Highly recommend and would do again!

I've done several of these classes as fun activities at work and they are great. I love the "Fear free drawing" classes because I literally only need a pencil and paper to get started. I've never really drawn anything before starting these classes and it's fun to see what I can do with a little instruction.

We had such a wonderful experience with the Art Studio, taking a private family class in Central Park! We only had two days in the city and had a set itinerary and Kaspar was so communicative and flexible in setting up the specific day and time that I had open. He was also generous in doing a zoom meeting to discuss what we wanted to get out of the class and where we wanted to do it, also considering back up plans at a museum if weather didn’t cooperate (but luckily it did). Our instructor/artist, Clem, was very understanding when we were a few minutes late and had the perfect set up with a beautiful view for us to paint and even a sax musician was playing in the background. It was magical. Clem was super sweet with my two daughters (age 8 and 11) and did a great job keeping us on pace but also allowing us to spend time being creative and adding our own touches to our paintings. We loved our masterpieces and this will be a memory we always cherish! Thank you so much, Clem, Kaspar and the Arts Studio!

The Art studio has been inspiring me for a year now. I am so much enjoying the drawing classes and the ones at the MET. I only drew stick figures before working- now I am supported and helped by talented and compassionate instructors. Each teacher brings his or her own approach and technique- you can learn to draw apples in so many ways, always an unexpected and shocking moment. Amazing. Who ever thought I'd be able to draw portraits! The moment you can say, wow I never thought I could do this is the moment of profound self realization. That eureka second when you have surprised yourself. Priceless! Thank you Art Studio for your support, for the love and encouragement your teachers offer with no pressure or judgement. It really is drawing without fear. I will keep taking classes until I can still stand! Blessings.

We had a corporate event for my firm hosted by The Art Studio NY. The founder and her team did an excellent job running us through previous events with similar organizations. We ended up having Peter and Clem as the instructors for our watercolor event. It was hybrid with over 50 participants from across the U.S. It couldn’t have been more perfect. The instructors fostered a welcoming and calm environment that really got attendees into their element. Highly recommend! We’re looking forward to working with this fabulous local business again soon.

Terrible conversation. For the first time - not a single reminder of the upcoming master class. And for the top wrong address on the site. How to find it ??

I have taken several online classes over the last 2 years and learned a great deal about drawing and painting techniques. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient. They know how to help students tap into their artistic spirit. Every class I take pushes me out of my comfort zone and inspires me to try new things. I am hooked on the Art Studio NY!

Rebecca and her staff at The Art Studio are absolutely amazing. We joined several weeks of their summer camps virtually and my daughter loved it. She found so much joy in her classes - the varied media and projects they worked on, connecting with the other kids, and chatting with the instructor. She felt supported, challenged, and had so much fun. The artwork she produced was so wonderful and, more importantly, she was so proud. We both just loved the experience. Thank you!

One of my team members brought The Art Studio NY to us for a team building event. I wanted to find a creative outlet for our team because we deal with numbers all day long. Kristen and Melisse were instrumental in finding a zen like experience for my team, and allow them creative expression with their water colouring class. Melisse was a fantastic instructor, and kept things moving at a manageable pace, and I learned a lot about how to watercolour - I thought it was simply water to paper! There's more to it than meets the eye, but it was such a positive experience. The team was really engaged through, and the cost was more than reasonable. Happy to recommend The Art Studio NY to the broader team to enjoy their classes.
