😠 Avoid at all costs, the Dr. was nice but I thought the office was pretty disorganized. Took weeks to get the doctor to talk to me about my blood work results and then they made numerous mistakes on my file, with such private information, it's disheartening to see poor attention to details. Not to me... People often mention doctor, appointment, work, call, staff, time, office, Sinai, service,

This office has gone completely downhill. Everytime you come in you see a new person. The same people are never at reception and theres always a new nurse when you come. It is hard to keep up on who to touch base with and maintain a relationship. The new staff are just horrible and uncivilized. They are rude and do not know how to do their job, it seems like they are just hiring anyone. I am always left on hold for what seems like forever! I can’t get a hold of my doctor and it’s an even bigger pain to get my refills on time. It is so alarming to be treated like this from my doctors office. I dont recommend coming here it is unsafe and not a place you will find continuous comforting care

I'd leave 0 stars if it were possible. I booked in to see a doctor and it was labelled as an "annual physical". I explained to both the receptionist and the doctor that I wasn't there for an annual physical. It was my first time with the doctor and I emailed them my previous annual physical results from 3 months earlier which he proceeded to apply to my record in Mt. Sinai. 1 year later I recieve a bill for recieving an annual physical I never received. I have had it reviewed 4 times and each time they come back and say that because the words "annual physical" are in my notes that this was the service I received, despite giving no bloods for this. They refuse to refund me this amount (I had to pay it because their review process takes 6 weeks which was longer than it would take it go to a collection agency; after the second review). Having explained the situation to both their billing department AND a doctor on site and this still isn't resolved and I don't suspect it ever will. Both the billing department and the doctor believed me and assured it would be fixed when they looked at the evidence, yet I'm still out of pocket as they refuse to contact the doctor for context as he moved to a new practice. It's disgraceful to be robbed by healthcare establishments in this way.

Avoid Dr. Abdollah Sedighi. He made jokes about my weight to my girlfriend while I was out of earshot, which is embarrassing for everyone involved honestly. My heart test was good though, so this was not a complete waste of $300. Barely.

First they need to better organize. Don't take appts at 7:30pm if you call patients the morning of to reschedule because your lab tests are picked up at 7pm. That's just poor service. And then morning of when you call to ask patients to come in earlier, you should ask, not tell someone they "HAVE TO". If Dr Palatucci lets me book at that time, why am I being told to come in earlier? But really besides the mismanagement of this particular issue, the only complaint was with one Allison the nurse who was so obviously annoyed to be working it was laughable. Stay home, no one is forcing you to come to work. And if you need to work, act like you actually appreciate your job, especially during a pandemic when people are unemployed.

I am appalled by how ghetto the staff is. They hired a bunch of teenagers to work the front and they have no clue what they are doing. I can't believe what this establishment turned into. The staff never used to answer the phones here either, so now when you call, you're calling the call center and not the actual office. What a shame. I liked my PCP but the service here is terrible. They'll take forever to send referrals if at all. They have nasty people who don't want to work and just come here for a paycheck. Please get new staff instead of finding bums on the street and putting them in uniform.

I was extremely impressed at this place. Yasmin T worked at the receptionist desk and had the best customer service skills ever. She took care of me very quickly and did it with a smile. I wish that they had more people like her working within the hospitals and clinics. Dr.Charles has got to be the best 🤩🤩🤩.I never liked having a male doctor but he made me feel very comfortable. He answered all of my questions and concerns . I would definitely recommend him to all of my friends and family. My visit was 30 minutes or less but it was nice to have someone quick and still get the job done.Yasmin T, and Dr.Charles is a prime example of what a perfect visit feels like after leaving. Book your appointment fast with him because he is worth it 🙌🙌. They also practice great social distance there.

This is my 3rd time coming in and the last, each time i go the staff is rude and inconsiderate say snappy things for no reason and make you wait hours and mislead you. Especially the front desk . Ive tried being patient but just cause you have a so called nursing degree doesnt make you entitled to treat people like garbage. No position ever should

Update 1/18/24: I was informed via the MyCharts portal that my tests were never processed (no reason as to why). Please stay away from this location, particularly if you are sick. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience here and was really disappointed. I'm not sure if this is a preventative medicine office only, but I visited while sick with general cold/flu symptoms. Because of this, they informed me that my appointment had to be rescheduled to a virtual appointment, and that doctors/nurses/staff could not be in the same room as me. They ushered me to a room (that was very dirty.....) where I needed to download an app for the virtual call, but without phone service in the building, I could not do so. The staff was very upset that I was struggling to download the app. I was never seen by a nurse (vitals were never taken, I was never weighed, never asked about medication allergies, etc.). A doctor did see me for less than 5 mins to swab for different infections, but I have yet to receive these results, and MyCharts says there are no pending tests under my name. When I was told to leave (someone opened the door and asked "why are you still here"?), I was told not to stop at reception and pay my copay, so I have no idea how/when that will be billed. Super disappointed by the level of care here. I was confused as soon as I walked in the door and have never felt so guilty for being sick. I deeply understand & appreciate COVID/illness protocols, but they treated me like I was radioactive and wanted nothing to do with me.

Just wanted to counter some of the negative experiences I saw here with my own today. I saw Dr Sedighi and found him very polite and kind. The nurse I had as well was super nice and the whole experience was perfect as far as a doctors visit goes!

This doctor did not honor the appointment I had at all that I made on line with Zocdoc. I had to make the appointment a month in advance because they were so booked up. When I got there the woman at the desk was incredibly rude and told me that the doctor doesn't accept new patients but because I was there they would see me. She then has me fill out paper work while standing at the counter while she barks questions at me and then asks for my co pay. Not until after I've done all the paper work and paid my co pay, does someone tell me the doctor wont see me, now or ever. They blamed it on Zocdoc. But I've had the appointment for a month and none of the 7 secretaries called me to inform me that I should not come in. So instead I waited a month, took off work, got there, filled out paper work, AND paid them. Before they turned me away. I will not have to wait months once again to get another appointment with another doctor somewhere else. In general I would avoid Mt. Sinai at all costs.

Wow. I can’t believe Mount Sinai is this bad. Within the last couple months, I requested an echocardiogram from my PCP and was referred to Mount Sinai. The initial consultation and consultation actual administration of the echo went well. But after the echocardiogram was performed, it became such an unprofessional mess. My cardiologist, Dr Sedighi, sent me the single word “OK” in a message to summarize the results of this complex cardiac imaging. That’s it—not salutation, no details, and no care whatsoever. I was astonished to followed up and asked for a written narrative explaining to me, the patient, whether there were any issues (noting that a couple points in the clinical report I received were possibly concerning). Dr Sedighi responded that he’d already written “OK” and then had his assistant try to schedule me for an appointment. I called Shakeema twice, and she refused to return my calls. I didn’t need an appointment—just a quick narrative summary of my echocardiogram. It was a mess. It seems like it is very disorganized and is dismissive of patients, and I will avoid Mount Sinai in the future. The one bright spot was my experience with Alicia, a patient advocate, who ultimately helped me get the simple summary I originally sought.

The phone representative today 5/1/21 was very nasty and rude.. The receptionist refused to give me her name when I ask but I know who it is because I have seen her at the front when you walk in. She is tan skin, young with glasses and always on her phone. Actually whenever you walk in, they are on there phone and you have to stand there until they notice you. This office is very unprofessional, medical care here at west 14th street mount sinai is like a third world country. If you want a prescription refill you may have to call two or three weeks ahead because your med will NEVER be filled when needed. They also sneak charges in and when you ask for help with the bill, apparently manager is always on lunch or on another call. This is the WORST doctor facility experience I have ever had in NYC. It should not be like this

I visited Mount Sinai Business Health in early Oct. From making an appointment to getting my results back, my entire experience was smooth. Dr. Michael Shahbaz and his medical assistant have great bedside manner, they took the time to explain each step of the way, I felt extremely comforting. I gave my highest recommendation to Dr. Michael Shahbaz and his medical assistant, outstanding job!

😠 Pay your copay to be put in an exam room and left there for 45 minutes even when you have an appointment! My husband and I have been here twice this week and both times the wait was long, but today has been absurd. I really don't understand the good reviews- are they real or were they paid for or so...

😠 Horrible doctors visit. I went in for a sore throat and cough and other symptoms, they did not check my lungs with a stethoscope or ask to listen to my cough.
