Nice 2nd floor bar. We ordered two salads that were simply great. The beer offering is wide and balanced. We tasted two double IPA from NY that were great too. Excellent service. The only backward is that on a Thursday night, there were little people.

Stopped in here for a snack. The bartender waved us to the bar. It was cash only. I ordered some whiskey and my wife ordered a dirty girlscout. Not sure exactly was in it but it tasted like a thin mint. We ordered some pretzels and fish and chips. Both were great. The fish may have been the best I had as fish and chips. Bartender was great! Lots of personality and helpful.

We were looking for a relaxing lunch while waiting for our bus at Port Authority next door, this place had always caught our eye because of the flashy rooftop beer garden upstairs. So we finally tried it out - thoroughly satisfying. Loved the sprawling upstairs dining room, and the sports bar/Irish menu and the great selection of beers. I think the temps on our draft beers were a little off, maybe five degrees warmer than I prefer but still fresh and from clean lines. Wings, excellent. Lamb gyro, excellent. Fries, thick, salty, hot = excellent. Service was a little uncertain since we seemed to have competing wait staff but no one missed a beat. Recommended!

Beer Authority has a very nice beer menu, food menu and specialty drink menu. The food menu has anything you can think of, burgers, pizzas, pretzels, salads and more. The atmosphere and service was great. Nicely decorated for Christmas. The sliders weren't bad but are frozen patties, the onion rings are from a bag, the pretzels are also from a bag or box and over done, the fries were fresh cut but undercooked. If the food was fresh and made in-house instead of commercialized, this place would be great. Unfortunately, the food underperformed. They do include the tip and a service fee if you use a card.

Great bar, few seats for locals or quieter drinks downstairs, its big upstairs in the sports bar type place, there is a roof top seating area but was closed when last visited on 17th March. Massive selection of beer, didn't try the food but it smelt amazing! Also has a small happy hour (if I remember between 3-7pm?)

The food was better than expected. The service was exceptional, they didn't skip anything for our group. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for. The cost was right! 100% Recommended!!!

Amazing experience with Agusto as the manager, and Antonio as the server on the rooftop bar. Drinks were great, food was great. Everyone was cheerful, friendly, and prompt with service even though they are BUSY. Would 100% recommend to anyone in the area to stop by for a drink on the rooftop bar or to stop in for some food. It will definitely be a “must visit” when coming back out to New York!!!

Delicious food and good drinks. Not much variety in the drink section for kids mainly soda, but they had food options for them so all in all it worked out.

As much as l wanted to love this place …. Can’t think of a better spot to wait for the bus next door in Port Authority. The beer I had was off - probably the first one poured all day and sat in the lines but smelt of vinegar, Delirium ‘Nocturnal’. I will return and try again, as the food was fine! And the beer selection vast.

It is a nice place to spend Time with your friends and I really enjoyed it on St Patrick’s day. It had good music, good food, I recommended the chicken wrap and the Phillies sandwich and also good beer. It is pretty big and you have the bar downstairs and the restaurant upstairs.

Plenty of space.. plenty of beer.. may have been under staffed when I was there to watch Sunday football. I was constantly finding myself with an empty glass. The food looks pretty and I wanted to badly to like it but it was so poorly seasoned I couldn’t even eat it

Cute place. Pretty spacious inside which was unexpected given the location. Good food and drinks. Nice staff. I'd come back.

Beer Authority is always a favorite stop of mine while visiting the Times Square / Broadway / Midtown area of Manhattan. For beer lovers, it can't be beat. The selection of both drafts on tap and bottles/cans cannot be found anywhere else in the surrounding neighborhoods. What I love is they have both local beers and International beers, including a large selection of Belgium beers that many bars don't stock. Most bars in the area only have a small handful of the same beers, so the vast choices at Beer Authority is very welcome. The food menu also has a large selection of American bar food with appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, pizzas, wings, and tacos but also some full entrees like steaks, fish & chips, salmon... On this most recent trip, I had two beers and an appetizer. I started with a Delirium Tremens on draft/tap, and then I followed up with a local IPA called Money from Barrier Brewing Company. I ordered the Pretzel Bites with cheese sauce and they were warm & soft. While the place can get busy at night, I've always found the service to be good and the tables to be spacious. Bonus for them showing soccer during the day.

Nice! Massive choices of drafts ciders and beers. Highly suggest if you come from 🇬🇧. Slowly services because only Isabella around but worth the wait, thank you. Hell’s Kitchen mix platter will surprise you as was for me.

We sat on the second floor bar and caught the game. Had the vibe of a regular bar to me. Everyone was adamantly watching the game. Only ordered beers and fries. However, they had game day food deals for purchase. I’d probably go back.

Nice place to have a drink and eat something! The service is great and the food delicious. We have been 3 times and it is always good. Do not miss the chicken wings and pretzels!

I recently had the opportunity to visit Beer Authority, and from the moment you walk in, you feel a pleasant atmosphere, especially with the current Christmas decorations. While access to the top floor after the Santa area was closed, the other sections were well set up, with numerous tables and spaces at the bar. Unfortunately, I must note that the service did not meet my expectations. Despite specifically requesting to be in the better-decorated Christmas area, the person who welcomed us led us to a table and never returned to take our order. After about half an hour, I went directly to the bar to place my order and consume there. Although the staff saw us at the bar, no apologies were offered for leaving us unattended at the table. As for the drinks, they were average. While I can recommend the place, I suggest that the management pays more attention and becomes more efficient in taking customer orders, especially if a specific table has been assigned. Personalized attention is key to improving the customer experience.

Great place for a drink & to watch sports (or watch the world go by outside if you get a window table)! 🍺🏒 Also great for food. Our party of 4 actually visited twice during the one trip to NY due to the food being great, decent price & staff being super helpful! 😊

Only had a drink, but it was good. There are unique cocktails on the menu (like a grinch drink for Christmas). The place is pretty big so I would think the chances of getting seating at any particular time would be pretty high. We went on a week day evening and it was somewhat empty. They decorated for Christmas so it was very festive inside too. The servers were also very friendly

Coming to NYC I always look forward to trying new restaurants, unfortunately this place was MEH. Didn't blow my socks off , but wasn't terrible. We stopped in and got beer and some apps. The beer was warm and the calamari looked appetizing , but it was so rubbery. We did get a small garden and ceaser salad which were good. The server was nice and it was pretty quick. The restaurant is really cool looking too. We decided to move on to a different place for dinner.

What a fun place! Friendly staff, cold beer, yummy food in a great location. Rooftop bar was great, since it’s only two stories up, you can still hear and see the city like a cafe - but you’re not sitting in the street. Very convenient location. Definitely plan on making this a stop every time we come into the city. Thanks for a great dinner.

I was not here for very long, 2 beers worth of time to be exact. The space upstairs was very nice and felt comfortable, the staff were very friendly however, there is a downstairs area that just doesn't have the same vibe... While the upstairs proportions felt like a very nice bar and grill style, the downstairs was like a dive bar. The downstairs only takes cash, which makes no sense to me since it is the same bar as the upstairs. I really don't understand why they have decided to make the upstairs a bright and lively place but keep the downstairs as a gloomy dive bar. Seeing as I spent most of my time upstairs, I did give this place 4 stars. If they could incorporate the downstairs better with the upstairs, it could have potentially received a better score. P.s. I felt as if I should not speak on prices since I am not from NY, and I do not know average costs. So you can make your own judgment, one glass of Stella on tap was $10.

Nice stop for lunch. Had a Philly which was great. Entire group liked their lunch and how can you go wrong with IPAs with your lunch. Nice atmosphere and look.

Great time I had today eating lunch and enjoying the amazing drinks with my friend. We have had lunch here several times. We took the opportunity to finally visit the roof top, and we were amazed with the way it was decorated. Very spacious. Good enough for groups to meet and enjoy. Being under the large umbrella was perfect for the weather we had today. The service and hospitality is amazing.🤩🤩🤩 Thank you. 👍👍👍

Great meetup spot after a conference for a number of years running. They always close the rooftop for us where we have dedicated bartenders and wait staff. Allows for folks to stay as long as they like and many will stick around for food and more drinks. Obviously they have a good beer selection but the cocktails were pretty good in last visit too. Especially happy with the service for a large party. Rooftop is a cool spot with the NYC ambiance around you, but if it gets too loud or starts to rain, the inside is always there when you need it.

The view from 2nd floor quite charming. Good food. The service is exceptional! Nice size portions. I had the cobb salad which was very good. My son had the fish and chips which was a really generous portion.

Stoped here late Tuesday night after a Broadway play. The manager was super friendly and accommodating. Even made sure my kid was happy with the table. The burger I got was done just right. There was plenty of beer choices to pick from and even a kids menu. Overall food was good. This is a three story bar. The rooftop is super cool and has a great view but limited selection of drinks. The dinning room on the first floor is the place to be if you want to eat and drink.

The atmosphere was delightful. Staff were attentive and very polite. The veggie sliders were great - the perfect balance in flavors. The cheeseburger was fantastic: toasted bun and a lot of meat. The happy hour drink prices aren’t fantastic, but the drinks are! We highly recommend eating here.

Myself & some friends stopped in Beer Authority before a Knicks Celtics game at MSG for some food and drinks. The happy hour prices for the drinks were good. I had a Philly cheesesteak but it felt like there was more bell peppers than steak in the sandwich; could've done with a lot less peppers. The staff was great and overall a great experience.

Great place with awesome food to share and good craft beer. Nice view of busy Manhattan streets. Our waitress on April 30, 2023 was amazing, extremely friendly and welcoming.

This is always my go-to late night spot for good food and beers. The beer menu is extensive, the crowd is always friendly, the atmosphere is always so alive, and the food is amazing. I had a few sours and stouts this time around for beer. For food, I went with the fish and chips. I was very surprised at how big the portion was. The fish was so flavorful, the fries were crispy, and the Cole slaw was out of this world. I love how they saved a bowl and put the slaw on a lettuce cup. As long as the area doesn't get any worse, I'll keep coming here. Thankfully, they have security at the door to keep the trouble out.

I'm really not one for going to the pub by myself, but after walking past here a few times, I thought I'd give it a go. Glad I did, lovely cold draught beer after a hot day walking around in the sun. Just what I needed. Had proper football on the TV too. I didn't visit the nicer part upstairs unfortunately, just relaxed with my beer and then left.

Great comfort food. Staff is attentive and social. Portions are filling. steak and cheese is good; however Veggie burger needs lots of improvement as it has no texture/taste

Had the daily special here this year. The food is decent quality, and the beer selection is quite varied. Prices have always been fair when I’ve eaten here. Service is very friendly, though a little slow since the servers are often waiting a large number of tables. Also, as typical for a bar, it can get quite loud inside. That said, it is one good dinner option that’s actually open late, and that’s why I keep coming back.

This place has turned into our 'local' whilst staying in NY. The staff are great and welcoming without being in your face or false. The food and drinks are fabulous and we can usually find just what we're looking for for both large and small appetites. I had a small portion of mac & cheese and Hubs had a beautiful shrimp linguine with roasted tomatoes and asparagus spears and garlic bread. Very tasty with a nice little just of spice.

Fantastic selection of drinks and reasonably priced, especially at happy hour 4-7pm !! The food is brilliant, well priced and good portion size. The staff are so friendly and really made us feel so welcome.

Great range of craft ales from local beers from local breweries to various places in the 'States. If I lived in the area I could well see this as my local. Luckily it was in the same street as my hotel (W 40th) and only a few doors away. It also has a roof garden and a restaurant although I didn't manage to try that. Well worth a visit.
