Highly recommend to stop here! Manager took the time to greet us as soon as we walked in and gave us a rundown of the Menu. Customer service is above and beyond! This can be your quick stop place or your sit down place! I ordered the old fashion burger cooked to medium.. and instead of a the bun I have a lettuce wrap. Made it a meal with regular fries and got the sweet potato fries plus a fountain drink. Then went back in line for dessert and got a salted Carmel shake! Everything was delicious! Must stop restaurant!

Friendly staff who welcomed us and took our order explain the items. She asked how I would like my burger done. The burger was juicy and tasted great. The buffalo sandwich was spicy as tasted great and quite filling. Quick service The restaurant and restrooms were clean and tidy and well lit. Enjoyed our meal here

This is a GREAT option for gluten-free people. Fast food restaurant that has veggie, vegan options, good service and average prices. You can turn almost anything into gluten free and most important, it tastes good. I just wish they could have more vegan AND gluten free meals, but I'm glad there's something for everyone. They close until 11 and that's also a great thing about this place. In general, it's a good option for everyone trying to get a quick bite.

5 stars for the gluten free options!!! I am very glad I tried this place. I had the chicken fingers and fries and they were great. The regular burger was well enjoyed and juicy even when cooked “well” Fries are super crispy and tasty. I can see why people like it here. But the NY hospitality is no joke. Staff are down right moody, can’t crack a smile and when you ask them if there is a bathroom they just yell the code at you in a very annoyed crabby down right unwelcome tone. Server is also extremely miserable. I kind of feel really bad for them that they are so unhappy.

Just DON'T order a turkey 🦃 burger! It has the worst texture! It falls apart like raw ground meat. I am so sorry but it was disgusting! It needs egg or something to hold it together. Otherwise it feels like eating room temperature ground raw meat. The Pickled onions had no flavor. I should have added hot sauce to the whole thing. The corn esquites on the other hand were delicious! Great grilled char on them and well seasoned. They should have added a dollop of mayo on them. The space is spacious and spotlessly clean.

Super creamy Mac and Cheese is really good! Very tasty and creamy, and it is served piping hot. We also got the Schnipper’s classic burger set, which comes with the fries and drinks. Overall, a great fast food choice, though the portion size may be a bit small. Place was super clean as well, with a lot of seating available. Staff was super friendly and helpful too! Great experience here

The food was great, I loved the sweet potato fries so bomb!!! The stuff were very friendly, the manger took the time to great us and make sure we got what we ordered. It’s really good spot to do a quick stop the food does not take forever to come out. It’s right a cross from authority port bus terminal.

The best chicken filet burger I have tasted in a very long time. Service was fast because I was late and not a lot of people were there. It was a take away. Waited few minutes to get the food. Yes, restroom needs a lock code that is printed on the receipt.

Schnipper's is probably best suited for those with kids who are picky eaters. We went there due to rain and proximity to the hotel...the chicken sandwich was ok, but nothing to write home about. The chili fries were about the same and I didn't even take a picture of the microwave mac n cheese. But, for kids who would cost a fortune to feed around times Square and who probably not appreciate the pricier food, this place is for them. Shakes were solid, cookies and creme was spot on. Have fountain drinks and Coke products. I do need to mention the lady at the register, D'onna Jones...the rain drove a lot of people inside, and she was the only one working the counter. Very friendly and efficient. Good job.

Als wir zufällig rein gegangen sind, war der Laden noch relativ leer und ich wusste nicht was mich erwartet. Sehr, sehr leckere und frisch zubereitete Burger. Viel Platz und toller Service. Das war mal eine tolle positive Überraschung

Took the "Just not any buffalo sandwich" and chicken strips and both of then were fantastic. Great service and the whole vibe of the place was good.

Solid burger and fries place with clean and spacious interior. Got the Big Schnipp burger with cheese fries. Although both were nice and good for a quick bite, there was nothing unique about the burger or the fries to write home about. With both beef patties extremely juicy and tender, it was difficult to hold everything together, but definitely worth digging in.  They could've done a better job with the veggie portions as I could barely taste the tomato and the onions, but otherwise it was a solid burger. Cheese fries were somewhat similar to animal fries from In N Out without the bacon.

Amazing burgers, loved the gluten free bun and fries were good too. They're very knowledgeable about cross contamination so it's the perfect place for celiacs wanting to enjoy a safe gluten free burger in the city!

Great fast food! I enjoyed my first time visiting here. My chicken tenders were flavorful and so were my fries. I did not find the food pricey but fountain drink was $4! I wish the location had charging areas. I think they will get more patrons because the ambience is great and there is so much sitting but it is not often occupied. The staff are great at what they do and I will recommend this location for a variety of fast food that is served in a much more comfortable atmosphere.

Burgers had amazing flavor, chicken tenders made to order and extremely hot with great taste. Would say it is a for sure place to stop and eat when in the area.

Was craving burgers and fries and Schnipper’s showed up in the search as having both gluten free buns and a dedicated fryer for fries. As we entered we were surprised to see a quick service model where you order at the counter and then are given a buzzer to pick up your food when it’s ready. We ordered a chicken sandwich and a Schnipper’s burger with one order of fries. Prices listed on the menu are for the sandwich only, and the fries are sold separately. The gluten free bun had a nice texture and the chicken was pretty tasty. The Schnipper’s sauce was particularly delicious! My partner’s burger was fine, nothing special, although he did enjoy the fries. Overall this was a pretty convenient (relatively fairly priced) place with gluten free options. Would come here again if ever back in NYC.

Absolute best chicken fingers I’ve ever had and they are GLUTEN FREE!! Best GF bun also for sloppy Joe! Very light and airy. Wife has Celiac and had no concerns, exceptionally GF knowledgeable staff. Great chocolate peanut butter shake and good beers too for me (Montauk IPA)!! Amazing experience!

I came to this restaurant during my first visit to New York. I was excited to try one of the burgers because I had heard a lot about them! The food was super tasty but I’m not sure that the burger was presentable, but again it tasted really good! I got the old fashioned made well done and the side of onion rings which were my favorite! That chipotle ranch dip was so good!! The only drawback for me was the sanitation of the restroom. It was dirty so I was a bit apprehensive on using it. Otherwise I appreciated the social distancing within the restaurant.

Order at the till. Really tasty burger and chips. Their impossible burger was particularly tasty sadly it is not part of their burger, fries and soda deal. I would say their burger meal deals were good value, but not if you don't buy things on those deals.

My son begged me to go here after his surgery.. Today he was well enough to go to city and try your food. WHAT AN EXTREME EXPENSIVE DISAPPOINTMENT. Ordered fried buffalo chicken sandwich which was neither crispy nor hot. Bun was soggy from the slaw and blue cheese it was not toasted at all. The cheese fries were really baby sized and for $5.50 ridiculously overpriced for the amount served in a little cup. Needless to say we were disappointed and still hungry. I feel bad that my son did not enjoy his first meal out but luckily there was a Wendy’s a block away and their spicy chicken sandwich was way more flavorful and he enjoyed it. Two stars for the friendly helpful staff. .

Food was pretty good. Better than a lot of other places for chicken fingers and Buffalo chicken sandwiches. Worth a visit if you have time and not too concerned about waiting for food. Staff was friendly. I ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich with no blue cheese and there was blue cheese in it. Scrapped it off and I ate it. Still taste it but oh well. My nieces food came 25 mins after my family’s food even though they ordered before us. My wife ordered the exact same thing they ordered so there was no reason to be that late. Went to the counter and asked. They said it should be up soon but nothing for about 5-10 minutes so went up and waited another 5 mins by the counter. Their order wasn’t even the next ones up. Looks like they only made ours because I was there. Unorganized. They just seem to put tickets where ever and make it as it comes out. Another customer had another issue with their food too while I was up there so I wasn’t a one off. Good food, just terrible execution.

Food was really good, a little bit pricey, but good quality of burgers, chicken tenders and mac&cheese. Also the 2$ beer offer is a plus. Disappointed by the woman at the counter, completely changed attitude when not giving a tip (don’t understand why when there’s no service at all and you grab everything)

3.7 Great fast casual alternative and generally pretty reasonably priced for the area. The tendies were juicy and flavorful. I really enjoyed them. The Mac n cheese was good, not great. Do-able. I would love to try it fresh and hot! The fish sandi special was quality, and they followed instructions, no tartar add buffalo. Fresh crunchy pickles really brought it together with the nice fry on the fish. The bun choice is kind of, eehhhh. Heavy and seeded hamburger bun should be a lighter brioche, but a tasty piece of fish indeed.

Wide variety of food, freshly made. The Super Creamy Mac & Cheese was one of the best I’ve ever had. Club sandwich and cheeseburger were nice too, but the bread was served a bit too cold in my opinion. Very, very friendly staff and reasonable prices.

Best burger I've ever had in my life and I am a huge burger fan. Service is great Burger is huge definitely worth the money. Highly recommend. The atmosphere was great I gave it a four star only because it was extremely smoky in there. You end up smelling like cheeseburgers for the rest of the day But it's definitely worth the stink... 😛

Very good burger restaurant. Fresh and juicy burgers, meat can be ordered from rare to well done. Perfect stuff. Big and light-flooded space with view on Times Square.

Loved this spot. Edit: +1 star for management offering to make it right :-) The bacon was a bit burned, but burger was delicious. Will definitely try this place again in the future

Affordable and unpretentious. Great options from basic diner/fast food to healthier options like roasted broccoli and grain bowls. Unlimited soft drink. Solid tastes. Fast service. Great double height renzo piano designed space. Out of all other places immediately next to Port A, the is the best place to eat and chill. Oh and they used to have 2 dollar beer but sadly no more.

This place is very satisfying. I had the (not so) impossible burger, and charred broccoli. It was super delicious. The other person had the old fashioned Combo and he said it was soooooo good. It’s also in a convenient location so great for lunch.

Review from an out-of-towner. Was planning to go somewhere else in Times Square around 5pm on a weekday in the summer. Other place had a long line. Walked past Schnipper's and I could see some seats available and no line at the counter. Which actually made me think this place must not be good. But reviews looked decent so went in. Order taker was friendly and answered a few questions. Seating area was comfortable and clean. Only took about 10 minutes for 2 burgers and 2 chicken sandwiches to come out to table side. I had the burger and was better than I expected. Also to add is refills are free at the fountain. Final recommendation - if you are looking for a fairly inexpensive meal (for Times Square) and other places have a long wait, give this place a shot. Expect to pay $20-ish+ per person

Good place to eat near Times Square. Canteen style restaurant with quick service. The salads, fried chicken and sweet potatoes fries were great. Price is reasonable.

  • 3/5 Stuart C. 2 years ago on Google
Nothing special. Chicken tenders lacked seasoning. Thankfully they had sauces to add your own. Burger isn’t bad, just average, why the average stars. Good option if you can’t find anything else. Prices are reasonable for nyc. The skinny girl in the group said the salad was pretty good. She’s skinny so don’t take her word for it, she eats salad. They were out of onion rings and Mac and cheese at peak lunch hour. Seemed to use a lot of frozen products that get fried. Covid as a reason for not having product is fine, but remove it from the menu when it's not available.

Convenient burger joint with food made from fresh ingredients and local sources. Glad to find a place that has fries not cooked in mixed oil so that means gluten-friendly fries. Helpful staff and good vibe.

Nice! Flavor is good and location is also very good, is inside the new York times building right in front of port authority station. Average cost P/P is 20 dollars. They offer salads, chicken fingers, burgers, fries and similar.

My girlfriend and I went to Schnipper's for the first time last night. We had an absolutely wonderful experience. We found your resturaunt off a Google search "Gluten Free in Times Square", since she is highly sensitive to gluten. I wish we would have gotten the name of the cashier(Yankees hat, navy blue solid polo, around 6-6:15pm Fri 10/1/21), because he deserves all the praise, as he was very informative and helpful in ensuring that the chicken tenders and fries we had ordered were not fried in the same oil as the gluten containing food. The tenders and fries were hot and fresh. Dare I say, some of the best chicken tenders we've ever had, gluten free or not and all reasonably priced considering the location. Thank you so much for the enjoyable experience.

Great food! The “chicken filet on a really good seeded bun” and the “veggie & goat cheese sandwich” were highlights for us!

The food is really good and the service is quick! The staff is really nice. The location is convenient, right on 8th avenue by Time Square. The food is so good and the place is really clean and open. The Mac and cheese is the best! It's really cheesy and creamy. They put just the right amount of food into everything so you're filled up and not hungry but not overly full. You can sit inside or outside under the shade. My new fave restaurant in Time Square!

Billie was amazing and very pleasant and helpful. The food came out quickly. Cheeseburger came out at correct temp. The bread was not my fav. Also ordered the sloppy fries. They were ok at best. The inexpensive liquid cheese was not for me. Also portion for 10 was small since it ls about double the cost of other options. I saw a gentleman w reg fries in a cup. Portion looked much better for price. My seat was dirty but easily wiped off. Water was free which ofc I like. My total was 21.05 w tax.

Cashier Laura L was rude as hell! Couldn't even ask about the size of the burger she kept over talking and rushing us when there was no line at all! Horrible customer service! She needs more training! Other than that food was good!

First time in NYC A must go try!! Reasons: - You can custom how you like your beef cooked - Mushroom Truffle Burger to die for!! - mac and cheese lovers trust me do their Super Mac n Cheese!!! LOVE IT. - Lots of seating Cons: - Washroom can be cleaner for sure - Presentation could be better since I was expecting a bit more than a disposable plate but it is what it is haha. - Portion seems a bit smaller for cost - No spoons lol.
