Honestly..St Kilda kinda saves the Manhattan coffee scene rn.. After 2 weeks of trying every shop we could reasonably get to - amazingly St Kilda had the best Espresso shot and Filtered Coffee in all of Brooklyn or Manhattan. Idk if the heat and humidity have messed with shops dialing in their espresso - but this was miles better than any other stop. They are also one of the few shops in the area with flights of coffee. Atmosphere: Small, fun shop, 5-6 comfortable tables for 2 people each. Barista's we're humble, knowledgeable and incredibly friendly! ----- St Kilda saves the oversaturated coffee scene in NYC. There's a lot of other shops that prioritize ambiance and high-prices over the coffee itself.

Airy and bright coffee shop with a lot of plants. I am already familiar with the SEY coffee that they brew, so it was good. Good use of space with the tables and benches, but a bit uncomfortable if you’re there for too long. Also, no restroom from what I could see.

Best Quality of coffe Ever!, the one I drink was from Oaxaca Mexico, they grinded it and brew it in front of me, both Leah and Ian were there, they are the friendlies most professional baristas I have ever met! Going to have coffee from this store every other day.

Lovely small coffee shop with minimal interior, plenty of plants, and just the right amount of coffee selection. I ordered an iced coffee which was very smooth and delicious, with some bright notes of cherry. They also have pastries. There is enough seating for 8-10 people.

Great looking place and atmosphere! Beautiful white La Marzocco coffee machine. I had espresso and macchiato which were good. The coffee blends were interesting.

Had a great time here. Enjoyed a delicious espresso sitting by the window enjoying the view of the local neighbourhood. It was super quiet and lovely.

Cozy little café located at Chelsea. The Aussie name makes me nostalgic as it recalls my childhood memories at St Kilda Beach in Melbourne. One of the best places in town to have single origin artisan coffee at affordable price. They sell an excellent selection of supreme quality coffee beans, like Sey Coffee, Little Wolf and Traffic. Note that their storefront is low key so you might oversee it. The store is decently decorated with plants and climbers. * Cappuccino w/ Oat Milk I was thrilled that the barista added a dash of cocoa powder on the cappuccino! It is rare in NYC yet a common thing in Australia and some European countries. The espresso base was fruity and bright. I prefer darker roast beans pairing with my milk coffee, so I will certainly order pour over to taste the light roast beans of its fullest next time. * Hot Mocha The hot mocha was amazing. A bit sweet for my liking, but my mom found it very satisfactory. If you dislike the bitterness of coffee but crave for some caffeine, go for their mocha.

If you're looking for the most unique artisan coffee, this is the place. Drink it as espresso to enjoy the flavors. It cannot be described, only experienced. The ambiance teleports you to a bright lit nature filled quaint town feel and yet is in the middle of our bustling city. Highly recommended. Wish I had more time here yesterday.

I stopped by for a quick cold coffee drink and had no idea I'd be blown away with the flavors. Excellent. I had a small iced latte with oat milk on the sweet side. Will be back to try the other offering. The environment is quaint and homey.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia so I know Melbourne coffee and this is NOT it. For some reason, my latte had a taste of Japanese dashi stock! I am not kidding. It was the weirdest coffee I've ever tasted. Do not recommend.

Nice little cafe. The coffee is good. Good sign when they give you bean options. Chill vibe. Nice decor. Nice baristas.

This is my go to spot for modern espresso. Two espressos are offered and rotate: a delicious, but more standard modern espresso ($4) and an experimental roast ($8). The experimental roast I've had thus far is a real treat, which is a peach macerated coffee, but I only get occasionally due to the price point. The experimental shot will bring joy to any coffee nerd who likes those coffees, or blow one's mind who has never tried experimental processed coffees. Whatever your tastes, the coffee is top notch.

Top tier NYC coffee and the vibe is great here. Their pastries are so fantastic which is so hard to find. Chilli cheese croissant is so buttery and wonderful and the lemon cake is awesome. Also love their merch 🫠 apparently I Stan

Hullo. Look if everyone who has a coffee shop in NYC doing espresso could just pop in here and sample a long black (Americano) or a flat white you’d go a long way to mastering excellent coffee. I not being snobby - I am just an addict of caffeine and Melbourne, Australia (where the suburb of St Kilda is) makes a superior quality drug. This is my first good espresso in NYC. Not to say there ain’t others. Go!

The place is small, so it's more of a grab and go. But the coffee is superb. One of my favorite places is La Cabra and this place came close second in terms of coffee quality. Pastries are ok, nothing special. The everything croissant is good.

The shop carries excellent coffee beans you’d find at SEY coffee from NYC or Dayglow from California. Their service however was consistently trash on my two visits in May and June of 2022. Both baristas couldn’t bother to help with bean selection if you dared to ask for recs, and both of them didn’t make art for milk + espresso drinks. That’s how they made sure you know they actually don’t care about coffee at all.

Trendy store, friendly staff. Weak/watery coffee! We are just realizing that Toronto coffee is actually much better then Manhattan coffee. If you're from New York maybe you don't mind the coffee, seems to be a busy place at times. Not for us! 2 lattee's, 11 dollars.

They serve various single origins from different roasters. The selection of coffee is really good, and the barista brews great coffee. We had one esprsso and a pour over. This small cafe gives you the best possible quality you can get in the city.

Big fan of St Kilda - on my last visit, got a flat white with three shots of espresso*. I'm so caffeinated I can see the future! * my friend only wanted one shot in her flat white, so I couldn't waste that extra shot
