I love bringing family and friends here. It’s easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. Everything on the menu is great and the music gives a great vibe for the rooftop. The bartender also has a heavy hand 😉 Everything about the Heights is great except for management. I never feel “welcomed” when I’m there

The food was delicious!! It was cool going up the heights! It feels like a cozy place. It was almost closing time when we went so it was on the quiet side and I enjoyed the atmosphere. I like it was on the darker side and feels like we had privacy and our waitress was nice and friendly! Didn’t get any drinks but the bar looked awesome!

I used to go to the heights very frequently because I love the food. The last time I went I ordered and took the food to go. On my way out, the bar tender made a comment about my not tipping. I gave him what few dollars I had in my wallet and left. It made me feel very uncomfortable like I used to there like every week! What an I tipping for? I come in, place my order and go wait for the food outside. If I’m dining in or even sitting at the bar then I’ll tip but that was out of line so I’m never going back. The bar tender is this heavy set Latino dude. Idk his name.

Love this place, the rooftop is also a pretty good date spot. The food is always spot on with generous portions. I’ve never left hungry. They even offer some good happy hour deals! Try the nachos you won’t be disappointed. Worth checking out.

I came for happy hour with a group of folks on the weekend. We were seated pretty quickly and attended to shortly. There are various options depending on what you’re in the mood for. The food is definitely a bit over priced for what you get though. I got the tacos and it didn’t even come with a side of rice and beans, that was separate and it wasn’t very filling. Other folks got the nachos which seemed to be good. The drinks were also okay, the margaritas are delicious. If you go with a large party be mindful that they are only willing to accept 3 cards which was pretty annoying.

The Heights is unassuming chic at its best. Not quite a rooftop, but it's on the upper level of a third storey walk. Above average customer service with a sensual southern atmosphere. Great dive for a dirty night. Very dark and discrete. Screams Tinder.

Small place that gets crowded quickly. Food is always great. Mostly been for brunch. Last time I was there the bathroom was really gross a bunch of flies like a lot that concern me the bathroom is pretty close to the kitchen and bar. The big huge windows can be open and have no screen. No insect traps I could see. The wait staff is great kind friendly and accommodating.

Wings and frozen margaritas at The Heights always hit the spot! Other items on the menu are great as well.

The worse service ever. The Waitress Matilda was so rude and I been going to the Height for 20 years. Never had a single problem with anyone. She did not even let us finish our dinner. We arrived at 10:30 and she kicked us out before we even finished our meal and it was 10:50. I told her to bring the check and she said paid now bc I have to go. I told her calm down and bring your Nina get and she yelled loud saying don’t come back. Trust me I will never be back and I will be sure that no one will be treated again the way she treated me. Better higher people who respect people who supports the neighborhood restaurants.

The Heights Bar and Grill is a national landmark of the Upper West side akin to the Empire State building is to New York. I was born and raised in Upper West Side and I have always gone to the Heights through its lifetime, even experience the tragedy when a fire erupted there. The food is delicious as always and the service is also amazing. Shout out the Heights new employee Olympia. She was amazing and super super friendly. It gets busy after 2pm so plan properly if you bring more than a party of 2

10/10 so good. Jake was an AMAZING servicer. Loved the chips & guac app, we got yummy mini margaritas, I got the chicken burrito (mind blowingly good) and my friend got the burger. So delicious. One thing to note, they have rooftop seating but it might not be what you expect. The walls are higher, so you don’t really have a great view. But it was still nice to be outside

Service was great but the food and pricing was wild. ordered chips, queso, and a drink and the total was 35$. The queso was just reheated tomato soup with some creamer in it. They even served it with a spoon. Not that it matters but all the chips I was given were broken. Waitress was lovely and it wasn’t worth bringing up. Obvious her manager overseated her during happy hour rush and she was run thin.

Live in the neighborhood but hadn’t been for a while. We were so happy with our dinner, really good food at good prices, great beer on tap, delicious mocktail and a yummy frozen margarita. Friendly staff, too. Loved sitting on the roof deck and having the sky overhead. Nice to rediscover this low key and fun spot.

I didn't get a chance to try the food tonight but the drinks were amazing. Their bartender, Trystan, is the best and gives great attention to detail in his cocktails and actually cares. I'll be coming back!

Usually make a point not to make negative reviews but ordered a quesadilla and a veggie burrito. Filling was completely unseasoned, and looked like California medley frozen vegetables. Ambience of the restaurant is great but was very disappointed this time around. Not worth the money spent.

This has been a favorite place for over 10yrs and they have never disappointed me, the roof top is an amazing addition and it’s the perfect combo of sports bar vibe but also a decent place for a date (just not a first date)

Love this place! A secret gem. The skirt steak burrito was actually worth the extra scratch.

Really delicious food. The steak is always juicy and flavorful. The fries are crisp. Even the side salad is great.

Skirt steak burrito with guac and chipotle sauce. WOW absolutely devoured it. *update* lunch is 12 dollars for everything on the menu and happy hour is 12-7pm m-f got the Burger with bacon and cheddar damn good and the fries were crispy. This place has sneaky good food for something you might just walk by without noticing

Great food and service! Margaritas were some of the best we've had! They aren't stingy with the alcohol!! We had pulled pork, loved my burrito and others loved their sandwiches!! We sat on the roof, if you're looking for a stuck up snooty atmosphere, this isn't your place... if you want to relax and unwind without worrying about a dress code, head to the Heights!!

SEP 2018 REVIEW Great spot for brunch! 4 dollar mimosas! Absolutely can't go wrong with that! My waitress was awesome. Can't remember her name but she Deff took care of my friends and I. Go with the steak & eggs! So yummy! They also have rooftop seating!

Food and drinks were fine. The service was terrible. I had an inquiry about my bill because I was charged for things I didn't order. The waiter was rude, called us broke and refused to listen. He was defensive and told our table that we didn't have to come back and to F off. We were a table of 3 and charged 30 percent gratuity automatically for someone who was inattentive and nasty. Definitely won't be returning.
