Since the doctor treated me, I explained to him that I had been suffering from stomach pain for more than 12 hours that deprived me for more than 4 minutes every time it hurt, he answered me insecurely without sending me to do any study that could be something I ate or a virus. then he tells me that a pill that he is going to tell me COULD help me when I hear the word COULD it was where I realized I was wasting my time there and guess what? It's 5:45 am and I'm in the emergency room in Flushing because the pain only gets stronger after the date (I gave it 2 stars because at least the nurses who care for you are polite and seem concerned

Came in for a flu shot and was told they wouldn't accept my insurance because the flu shot is a work requirement, and that i selected occupational visit instead of a regular visit. I asked if i can re-register as a regular visit and go through insurance. They refused to help me. I said I can just go to another city MD and re-register as a regular visit and use my insurance. Mya the manager said "what you do is your business, but we can't help you because you already said this is work related." What sense does that make? Sure enough, i went to City MD of Fresh Meadows and got my shot within 15 mins without any issue.

Tried to walk in, was turned away because I need to make an appointment first, and wait for a text to be told when I can go back ("urgent" care). Tried to make an appointment, was told no slots available. Was 3pm, they close at 8pm ("urgent" care). Went home, calling to make an appointment. On hold 15 min, no response. Emailed. Trying calling again, 18 min and counting, still nobody even picking up. Website says admin closes at 5pm, in 21 minutes. "Urgent" care, should be "casual" care.

I was just turned away because I could not provide $30 copay. I lost my wallet. I have used them at least 50 times over the years. I never had a balance. You guys remember you took a Hippocratic oath? Never again!

Although the doctor was excellent, the call takers and the aftercare staff were appalling. My pharmacy was closed and wouldn't reopen until Tuesday, so I was lying in bed with a fever and coughing uncontrollably, but no one had the grace to help me with a prescription issue. It was the worst experience of my life. The urgent care secretaries kept sending me to aftercare every time I managed to get in touch with them. It was all a scam. The phone was unanswered from 11 a.m. till 3:45 p.m. Then, when I did eventually get an unfriendly person who at least gave me a chance to explain my problem, they all spoke to me as though I was asking for the impossibly simple thing. Afterward, I was put through to another unpleasant and incompetent individual. Like these folks, I work in healthcare, and I will lose my job if I treat my patients in the same manner. They ought to hunt for a career they truly enjoy if they don't enjoy what they do. The goal of healthcare is to treat and care for the sick, not to ignore or treat them carelessly.

I regret recommending this facility to my aunt. My aunt checked in at 10AM to make an appointment. Because there were 45 people ahead of her, they told her to go home and they would text her to come back when the slot was available. She received a text at 2PM and was given 30 minutes to come back. She arrived at 2:33PM due to traffic. Because she was late by 3 minutes, her appointment was cancelled. She was told to make another appointment. At that point my aunt felt as though she wasted a full day traveling back and forth. She decided to go to a different citymd and received excellent and prompt service.

I burned myself accidentally and need to go an urgent care. I decided to go here though there are a bunch of other urgent care centers in the area. Glad I did! This facility is very clean and at noon time on a weekday, there's no problem with street parking. Like the other urgent care centers in the area, they do not have a parking lot. As soon as I entered the facility and explained my situation with front desk staff, they expedite attending to me. I can't give enough praise from the staff to the medical doctor. They have a cohesive collaboration and know how to respond to the situation. So highly recommended if you got yourself into this type of situation. I didn't get a chance to get the female doctor's name but my visit was on 6-27-2023.

My wife contracted Covid 19 on Saturday Dec. 10, with high fever and body ache and feel very weak. I bring her to CityMD Urgent care and get her registered, since I’m there at 9am the waiting line is short and she was handle by a Chinese lady doctor. After the testing, I specifically ask my wife to ask her if she can prescribe Paxlovid and she told us United Healthcare EPO is not covering for the drugs and she have to pay $1000 out of pocket expenses and the drugs only covered for patients 60 and over, which we knew she was lying as my co-worker family doctor is prescribing this drug for him a month ago as he is only 38 years old and was told it was pretty effective as it boost his recovery period. Worst of all she was not given any prescribe medication like Tylenol 500 and just wonder what the word “urgent Care” stands for. If you are really really sick, don’t go to this place as you won’t be treated like an urgent patient. I told them I can do the testing myself and you need a doctor that able to let you prescribe to the right medication. We went to another doctor afterwards and she was given Tylenol 500mg prescription and today she is getting better and I contracted Covid from her yesterday evening and I’m going to the doctor recommended by my co-worker if I’m able to get Paxlovid by Pfizer today. Will keep everyone updated.

Everything went well and the visit was pleasant. However, when I inquired on the phone about the cost of the visit I was told by the woman that i would be informed of the price before I agree to it. This did not happen. They did not inform me of my co-pay or anything about the cost. I saw the doctor and had X-rays done, and before leaving I asked to pay and I was told I would get a bill in the mail. I am hoping there are no surprises. I have always paid for urgent care visits on the spot.

Very efficient staff. Nice environment. Quick service based on attendance. Most Doctors on the premises are reliable. It’s up to the patient to follow up with their PCP and all given instructions. Either way I’m very happy to have a place like City MD by my home & in my neighborhood.

This was probably my worst experience at a City MD location!! I did not like how rushed Doctor Alex was. He brushed me off and said I just had allergies and that my sore throat was due to nasal drip but didn’t have a runny nose until the day I went to my urgent care visit on 10/7/2022, the sore throat began days before I started having a stuffed nose. He advised me to purchase over the counter allergy medicine which cost $30 dollars and I just paid $25 for my copay and when I called back to ask for a prescription for the medicine that was just advised for me to take the receptionist was extremely rude and unpleasant. I asked the doctor to prescribe me allergy medication and a nasal spray which the out of pocket cost would have been cheaper if I was able to have it prescribed to me because of having insurance. I was told by the receptionist that the doctor declined to writing me a script because “I did not test positive for COVID nor did I have symptoms” yet he checked and saw my nose was runny and my throat was red and I had no voice so I am extremely confused how those aren’t symptoms. He also advised on how to take the allergy medication which again if a doctor is advising you on how to take medication to help you feel better, I’m not understanding why it couldn’t have been prescribed. I ended up having a fever later that evening but again “No symptoms and it’s just allergies” right ? I was honestly better off just googling my symptoms then coming to this chop shop. Never again.. I am disgusted by the lack of care I received. I wish I had a better review to write but from the moment I walked in I was greeted by a group of rude receptionist just talking amongst each other and not being any type of helpful. Be do better!

When we got there the doctors were welcoming and kind. Once my child was getting checked they were willing to go out of their way to comfort my child. They also talked to my child while he was getting tested which helped very much. Overall they were very kind and when ever he needs a check up I will go there.

My mother went to this location in an emergency which included excessive pain and was refused service. She provided the front desk with 2 forms of health insurance cards AND ID. She was told by the front desk that she needed her “red white and blue” Medicare card to be serviced at the facility. The front desk person told her she needed to go home and get it to be serviced BUT she needs to go to the other location (Fresh Meadows) because they were closing. She then went home to get the card and when she arrived at the Fresh Meadows location she was told that she was already in the system and the “red white and blue” Medicare card wasn’t needed for her to be seen after all. She was seen at the Fresh Meadows location without a problem. There were three people at the front desk and not one of them knew what the required documents were to be seen at their facility??? If you had to choose which location to go to make sure it’s the Fresh Meadows location because they know what they’re doing.

Recently went and everyone was very polite. Was seen less than 2-3 mins of checking in and was diligently getting asked all sorts of questions and tests to see what I have and give me a proper diagnosis. I would definitely love to come again in the future!

It was nice to see front desk person help others who needed help check in to the kiosk. Wait time was bearable, about 1/2 hour. Staff was pleasant, "doctor" time was brief but efficient. Surroundings were clean. I would recommend.

I came here on Monday 12/4/23 and I do not believe I got adequate care. I explained to the nurse how awful I was feeling. I lost weight because I could not eat due to how painful my throat was. I also told her that the left side of my neck (on the outside hurts). She then did the covid and strep tests. The doctor came in 10 minutes later and told me I didn’t have covid or strep. She looked in my throat twice and said “oh it looks a little red”. The back of the throat was extremely red and I told her in more detail how much it hurt to swallow. She refused to give me medication except a numbing solution and told me to gargle. I couldn’t gargle it because it was a thick solution. If it was my mouth sure but not meant for the back of the throat. And when I asked again for antibiotics she told me again and again “well what are we treating?”, “we don’t know what she has”. As a doctor, you should have seen how miserable, sad, and sick I was, how firetruck red my throat was, and actually listened to the patient. And make the decision to give me other medication to speed up the process. I don’t believe she was very observant. Three days later I get the “full” results and it came back POSITIVE for strep lol… At least the office staff was nice.

This is always a pristinely clean and caring location. The people who greet you are nice, the people who check you before the doctor are caring, and the doctors really know their stuff. I have seen Dr Barlas twice and he has great manners that you don’t always see these days. He is willing to listen and check whatever you would like. Definitely the best citymd location to go to (I’ve been to a few, this is hands down the best). Not long wait times either!

I was there for Conjunctivitis and the doctor went into the room and didnt even greet me or explain my diagnosis to me. He simply took a look and walked out of the room. Next thing I know I am being told to just go get some eye drops but did not confirm whether or not I even had Conjunctivitis. The staff was very short, unfriendly, and lacked professional manners.

I went here to get checked for what i thought was a badly sprained ankle. The staff were polite but the x-ray tech is great. I was walking w a limp and she was the only one who offered me a wheelchair. The process took about 2 hrs all in all which isn’t so bad. I was told i have a fracture, was given crutches to not put weight on it, and was told to urgently see an orthopedist that they would refer. Now for the aftercare. Very terrible service. I was told i would get a referral in 48 hrs. It has been a week now with nothing. I mean if this is not a job they can carry out, why offer it to patients and waste people’s time? Just tell us you can’t do it so we can go on our merry way. They probably don’t get paid enough to read this review but if ever you decide to go to this place i hope you already know what to expect.

I don’t think this place deserve one star to is because the employees do not know how to schedule patients I had a really worst experience today. I was waiting inside since 2:55pm no one said anything to me as soon I asked them what’s going how long more? They kicked me out the place because they want to go home. There was this lady cleaning the floor she needs more training how to speak to patients instead of yelling at them. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to this place ever again. So disappointed by CityMD team.

Went in for a clogged breastfeeding duct bc my Obgyn used a stock answer (which was an outdated recommendation already rejected by Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine) many women online said did not work for their individual conditions & harmed their and their baby's gut flora & prescribed me an antibiotics. Wanted to know if i can find out if I actually had an infection & seek alternative treatment than antibiotics. The woman doc from this branch was extremely unsympathetic and repeated the same stock answer to all my inquiries and pushed me out the door in 2 mins.

I was a bit concerned to come here after reading the reviews. However I had an awesome experience here. The check in process was very quick and easy. The ladies at the front desk, the doctor, the gentlemen that took my medical history, vital signs, and did my exams all had excellent customer service. When the doctor examined me it was not rushed, he took time to listen my concerns, and I loved the fact that he explained what was causing my symptoms and how the meds he prescribed me would help. Furthermore the office and exam rooms were very clean. Will be recommending this place to family and friends.

Frustrating experience, came in for an xray. Spot was empty. Was told the X-ray tech was on break and would be back in 15 minutes. An hour later still have not been seen. Had I known I'd have definitely gone to another location.

I had a very pleasant experience at this CityMD. Went to get an XRay on my ankle and was in and out in 30 minutes. Everyone is kind and very efficient. I would recommend this office more than the one on Bell Blvd because of the staff and because there is a parking lot.

Thank you Dr. Choi! Your remedies did the trick. The ointment stopped the itching & discomfort and only sporadically reappeared earlier today but after applying ointment, absolutely nothing. The oral meds helped me obtain my first night of uninterrupted sleep in quite some time. 👍

Would Chi Amazon ivatic and they knew that but held me thernie Wade with all their rhetoric. And there scares that I would die if I left. Very much alive. And no thanks, I want to a real Doctor and was told to disregard what they said that they are not reliable at and we're trying to get me into an e. R. Which we all know is a breeding ground for disease!!
