    Words can't describe just how pathetic and rude the receptionists are at this surgery. I urge you to never even consider joining unless you want to end up being treat like the muck on the bottom of your shoe. The doctors have had me waiting for ages only to later ask the rude receptionists who confirm that they have gone home despite having an appointment with me. The receptionists don't care and will speak to you in such a downgrading manner and make you feel like an idiot. On many occasions I have proven them wrong but did I get an apology for the mistreatment? One can barely use the computer systems how on earth did she even get employed! I can't get over how this surgery is allowed to remain open! I really hope the extra funding into the NHS will also help train staff and teach them manners on how to treat people as that could mean the difference between calling a doctor during an emergency. You walk into these NHS buildings and it's all non-tolerance for mistreating staff. If I am honest in this surgery, it's the reception staff that mistreat the patients and use such degrading tones and make you want to give up hope on receiving any such treatment! Not one positive comment. People say its easier to leave a negative comment. If someone delivers exceptional service that will also be noted. However, in all these years this surgery has not managed receive one positive comment. This goes to show just how appalling the standards are. I can't believe that I have to give it one star!

    Was ment to have a telephone appointment and am sooooo disappointed!! Doctor called my phone for only like 3 seconds before I could pick up he ended it. It’s already so hard to get appointments and then there’s doctors like this with this sort of behaviour. I really needed this appointment aswell and I rang back to get another call and there wasn’t even any ring back. We pay NHS for what ????

    Very short appointment available must call 8:00 am two lines are busy and 8:01 if ur lucky someone answer and says sorry no appointments available for today, how about tomorrow…!!!? Call back tomorrow ….. again and again in three row days couldn’t find any… very disappointing.

    Service is poor here. Can never get an appointment. Get told to ring at 8.30 which when I do they never have any appointments available and the phone just rings for a long time which imagine is due to no one being on the phones. Have had to go through 111 and get an appointment at times.

    Absolutely appalling doctors surgery, there’s never any doctors in. I made an appointment this morning for my grandmother and we were giving an appointment for 12:45 so me arrived at 12:30 for the receptionist to tell us the appointment was at westgate walk-in centre. That was never mentioned on the phone so we missed the appointment that my grandma was in urgent need of they told us we could have one for Friday, it is Monday. This surgery should be shut down if there isn’t doctors present 5 days a week like they should be, I will be perusing a formal complaint about the lack of communication from staff to patient.

    What to say had a fab service with the doctors today. Last night I done a online form on the NHS app and said they'd be in touch by 6 tonight. About 7 this morning had a message back about having a appointment someone called me after ten then went into surgery to get sorted. Fab service today. Hopefully be on the mend soon. Thanks :)

    Unprofessional! Clearly don't care about the care of their patients! On one hand they say to come in and to line up OUTSIDE to make an appointment to be seen on the day - apparently almost guaranteed, then when you do go in that early, it's apparent that they've given most of the slots to pre booked appointments, (which they don't give out to anyone and when asked they say 3 weeks time!) so therefore there are no more than 1? 2? Appointments that day !? No chance of seeing someone the next day with out going through the above ordeal all over again to maybe or maybe not get seen or then to be told there's no apps till 3 weeks time! Nobody goes to the doctors to be seen in 3 weeks time! Clearly not even busy with patients through the day as I've saw several times the waiting room has been empty or has at least one person in it. what is the point of having a GP surgery if you can't get seen when you need to and if they're just going to try and send you to a walk in or A&E!? Who has the time to be waiting several hours when that is for emergencies only!? Can’t even get through because they don’t have a normal phone system that puts you in a Que! You have to keep phoning and it keeps saying ‘line busy’ from 8AM as lines clearly don’t open on time... how is anyone in an emergency meant to get through!? No different options whilst you wait to connect except 2. What kind of disorganised surgery is this!? Literally the WORST!

    For 72 years (all my life) I have remained with this practice. It has moved locations many times. I always hope that I can be accommodated when need medical attention. I understand this isn't always possible. But I'm sure when everything returns to normal after the pandemic, all will return to the attention everyone needs.

    I have been registered with this practice for many many years. From the receptionists, nurses & gps I have found their care & attention first class. I think they have difficulties at times but they have been of great support to me and I appreciate their efforts to try to assist me so thank you.

    Literally everytime I come here, for the past 17 years, I am always sat in the waiting room for at least 30mins each time. When it’s busy or empty, it always manages to take at least 30 minutes just to get called up . Edit: I’ve just waited an hour, I don’t have time for this, I arrived early and everything, and seems like they can’t handle it when you arrived early. I’m sick and tired at this point and tell the receptionist to change my appointment date. And I get a Call later on saying that there aren’t any available appointments, because that specific doctor isn’t doing a clinic and no one else can do it. Nice to see NHS funding going to good use😂. So now I’ve just wasted an hour and half of my day, don’t have an appointment for the next time, and late to a funeral. Great!

    Disappointed on how low our healthcare system has become. Receptionist are so rude to patients. Appointments are impossible to find. You could call at 8:01am and apparently all appointments for the day have gone within a minute. Wouldn’t recommend this GP to anyone

    Very poor practice. Don't give you your reports even if there's something wrong on it, unless you call. Diagnosis of ailments is very poor. One doctor even replied harshly saying they're not God they can't figure everything out when he didn't even do a physical check, he only asked questions on a phone appointment. Took my condition to become so serious I went to a and e with pain which revealed my pains were due to pancreatitis.

    Elswick family practice have been amazing with me dr hawkes seen me about my mental health and severe pain he’s a top class dr I’d recommend anyone to go there n talk to the staff the receptionists who are on today are two of the kindest people I’ve ever met easy to talk to n they don’t judge they’re amazing with people make it easy to connect with name u feel very very comfortable but dr hawkes thank you soo much absolutely amazing man n Jenny the nurse I want t thank for looking after my fiancé xx great surgery xxxx highly recommend xxxx

    I've given up trying to get an appointment. This is NOT the fault of our NHS staff who are leaving in their droves, thanks to 12 years of underfunding by this Tory government. Whose plans are privatisation, ie, to move public money into private pockets asap. Workloads are unsustainable, wage rises are in real terms a pay cut.

    essage stating that I would not attend and my appointment was cancelled!! I informed the consultant of my arrival!!! Then she asked me to wait, and I waited for an hour and a half and they did not mention my name. I went to her to check when it was my turn. She told me to say your name 3 times 😂😂 but she did not listen. They lie to justify their actions. Bad experience and bad first impression. I do not advise anyone to come there.
