    I've been working with Jenna for a year now and she's been great!! To be honest I didn't think I would benefit from a personal trainer, but circumstances came up and I decided I would just try a handful of sessions. After the first couple I was seeing the benefits and learning new movement patterns. With guided technique I was quickly executing exercises I thought I couldn't do, and building strength faster than I expected. Jenna's training got me excited to create new goals for myself. Jenna is not only professional and knowledgeable, but she carries a great attitude, works with your goals, and keeps it fun and interesting!

    Jenna has been training me since 2012. In that time she has helped me transform my body and more importantly changed my whole outlook on fitness and health. She has allowed me to become a better, stronger person through encouragement and consistency. And she has shown me that being strong and healthy is far more important than living up to societies often unrealistic body standards or a number on a scale. She taught me to love excercise something I didn't think was possible but will forever be grateful for. Not only that but Jenna has helped me to rehab my body after a serious injury and subsequent surgery. She's able to create customized workouts that helped me heal and gain back strength, while considering my limitations and adjusting as needed. Whatever your fitness goal Jenna can help you achieve it. She is a pleasure to work with and I cannot say enough wonderful things about her. Even if you're on the fence and have zero workout experience take the chance, invest in yourself and your health and work with Jenna. You won't regret it.

    "If I had ten thumbs, they'd all be up!" Jenna has an amazing approach to training and fitness. I've never in my life enjoyed an exercise class....but I seriously look forward to the BOPO Move class every week! My daughter and I attend together and we both love it. Oh, it's hard. But it is such a great atmosphere that I somehow feel happy while simultaneously exceeding my fitness expectations every single time. We see Jenna for personal training, too, and it is nothing short of a miracle that I actually look forward to the gym with her guidance, encouragement, and plain old good company. I'm getting stronger and stronger and I love it. Big hugs to Jenna and all the others in the classes for making us feel so welcome! TEN THUMBS UP :)

    Update to the review below: Nearly a year after the review below, I am still raving about Jenna and her classes. She is dedicated to promoting body positivity authentically, and ensuring that all her clients move safely. She is slowly expanding her team but doing so in a way that prioritizes the safety of her clients and genuine body positivity. Jenna has helped me cultivate a healthy relationship with exercise that has made me stronger physically, mentally and emotionally. Attending Jenna’s classes over a year ago was the single most transformative decision I have made and I can’t wait for more this year. I have actually forgotten that the fitness industry continues to be a largely toxic environment for many people who may be intimidated, shamed and downright bullied for their bodies. I have been able to forget because Jenna creates such a welcoming and safe space. To say it is a space of positive energy is an understatement. There just aren’t enough words to encapsulate everything Jenna has done for me. Original Review: Jenna has fostered a positive, vibrant energy in her workout classes that is infectious (in the best way). If you’ve had negative experiences in the gym before, give Jenna’s classes a try. She is also the modification queen, and always demonstrates several options so you can find the adaptation that works best for you. Jenna prioritizes your safety and wellbeing throughout the workout, from start to finish. At the same time, Jenna encourages you to build your skill set, strength, comfort and confidence level. Jenna’s classes are truly about “coming as you are” and she treats all her clients with the utmost compassion. Jenna has truly helped shift my perspective on exercise, and she will do the same for yours.

    Jenna changed my life! Bold statement but I mean every word. After years of not seeing my worth, disordered eating, diet and binge cycles...I met Jenna. I had numerous failed attempts at gyms and with personal trainers. The problem was I always set unrealistic targets and when I didn't meet them I would give up. Jenna has changed this...she has helped me to develop an appreciation for exercizing. I like going to workout. Her move and lift classes are fun. Jenna will adjust movement for you. No diet talk, no weighing or measuring. Most importantly she helps you realize your potential. Jenna is a unique trainer within the fitness industry. So if you want a trainer who is respectful, will not tell you that your body isn't good enough, who will listen to what you need...hire Jenna!

    Body Positive fitness is the most inclusive space I've ever experienced. Jenna is a phenomenal trainer; she intuitively gauges the various abilities of her clients and tailors workouts to suit every level. She makes me work harder than I ever have before, and yet somehow I really enjoy my time there and even look forward to cancelled plans so I can squeeze in another workout (please believe me that I am the couchiest of potatoes - she really just makes it that enjoyable). I'm so proud of how much I've developed in the few months I've worked with her and it's all due to Jenna's vibe and expertise. Give it a try - I promise that you'll love it!

    Jenna is the real deal when it comes to training. I have been working out with her for over a year and I have nothing but high praise for her. She is very knowledgeable, great at accommodating for injuries, and will push you farther than you thought you could do. The best part is that she truly focuses on health, strength and well-being, rather than just changing my body to look a certain way. The sessions I have with Jenna just fly as she keeps me distracted and entertained with funny and interesting anecdotes. She keeps me laughing, engaged, and motivated. I highly recommend her as a trainer!

    I've been training with Jenna for over a year and a half. I joined the gym to manage stress and increase my strength. I was fortunate to have my first consultation with Jenna and knew immediately she was the right person for me to train with. Jenna meets people where they are at and works with people around the goals they set for themselves. With Jenna, I've learned to deadlift, bench press, squat which I never imagined myself doing. I have so much confidence going into a gym now as Jenna teaches you how to set everything up and use proper form! From what I hear, Jenna is not like many personal trainers. She can work you hard but she would never push you if you aren't feeling okay or comfortable and she never focuses on your weight or physique, which women don't need any more of! I had a period of 6 months where I couldn't train as often with Jenna. When I got back into it, she was able to read exactly where I was at and adjusted my program accordingly. I would highly recommend her to anyone!!!

    Jenna is amazing! I have never been so comfortable in a fitness space. She really creates an environment where you can ask for modifications and push yourself safely, while feeling supported. As a fat person, I have never felt judged or as if there are limited expectations placed on me. I love Body Positive Fitness!!

    I’ve been working with Jenna doing personal training in Toronto for almost a year and a half now, and I can’t recommend her enough! Prior to working with Jenna, I didn’t consider myself a “gym person”, and had found working with other personal trainers in Toronto to be uncomfortable and unmotivating. No matter how much I emphasized that my goals were to be healthy and build strength, invariably the trainer would focus on BMI, body fat percentage, dress size, etc. My experience with Jenna has been so completely different from that. There was no awkward and embarrassing initial “assessment” – just an honest conversation about what I was trying to achieve and what I could afford. Jenna has worked in the fitness industry in Toronto her entire life, and is an incredibly knowledgeable and responsible trainer. The training she provides is tailored to your needs and capacities, and she knows exactly how to adjust you to get the most out of each movement, motivating you without ever pushing too hard. The result is an effective and FUN (honestly!) workout. Most importantly, this truly is body positive personal training – that’s not just branding or lip service to a fad. She understands the toxic nature of the vast majority of the diet and fitness industry, and actively works against it. We have never once discussed body weight, body fat percentage, BMI, etc., unless I specifically brought it up. She won’t try to tell you what to eat or how to live your life, and she understands that occasionally you might need some time away from the gym if your circumstances change. Working with Jenna has had an incredibly positive influence on my life. Aside from the physical changes, which are great on their own (increased strength, more energy, better sleep, etc.), I wasn’t anticipating how much my mental health and self-esteem would improve. It’s almost impossible to overstate the confidence that comes from realizing just how capable and powerful your body is – especially if, like myself and so many women, you’ve only ever valued your body for how small you can make it. I’m thrilled to see the growing body positive fitness movement take hold in Toronto through the community that Jenna is creating, and love being a part of it. If you’re interested or curious and are looking for a sign that you should join – this is it!
