I love it here. I wish I came as a kid. It feels like a great place to grow up going to! Reminds me of the parks me and my sister's went to in the 2010s that aren't really around anymore. That plus cows and goats! Please go here.

I just love Bluebird Gap Farm! Today is so beautiful and it seemed such a shame to spend it indoors. I was not the only one thinking like that! So many people and families were there enjoying this FREE city park. Thank you Hampton Virginia! I saw a peacock and flowering trees in bloom! I am not sure when they added a pig, but there was a pig. I love that they have animals and plants labeled so we all can learn. Oh, and it has clean, multi-stall bathrooms AND a nature trail for walking. Great spring day!

Free and fun! This place is amazing if you have kids, and especially this would be a great place for school field trips. They have an entire gardening section that you can take a nice stroll and enjoy the beauty of nature. Also, the animals are amazing to see from the horses to the lamas. Don't forget to bring your quarters to purchase the food from the vending machines. The peacocks wander around freely and are so beautiful to see. They have a huge playground for the kids and a really nice nature trail that leads to the water. With signs that display names of certain areas. This place is amazing and it is free. The staff are amazing as well. We will definitely visit again.

Went today it’s such a cute little place. My son loved the turkey. It’s next door to Bass Pro shop right off 64. So if you get hot you can go in there and cool off. They have a little playground for kids too.

I always love going to Bluebird, the staff are always really friendly and nice. The animals are all super cute (especially the birds and tortoises) and the environment is really just cozy. They usually have seasonal events and if you go on a weekday or day that isn't too close to Halloween or Easter it's really quiet and pleasant.

Good playground. Lots of animals. A good way to spend a couple of hours on a nice Sunday afternoon. They have ducks, geese, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, horses, donkeys, peacocks, tortoises, chickens, butterflies and probably a few more things I am missing.

Great little hidden gem! I saw it as I commuted back and forth, and decided to find the little farm in the city. It's completely free. Has playgrounds and animals, and gardens.

This place was so fun for kiddos! We went and the animals are very well fed and well taken care of. There’s a park for 5-12 year olds and a smaller park for toddlers that are just beginning to learn how to get on the slides. There are two vending machines so you can buy your water and your small snacks. Bring sneakers because you will walk a bit. This park is also FREE so that was a big plus. Whoever is behind all of this is so thoughtful to have it opened. My son was worn out and didn’t want to leave. So we will be back! Just wear sunscreen on hot days and stay hydrated!

Well taken care of. Me and my family loved the flower garden, it's expertly maintained. Great place to take a large family of a budget for the day. Great place to play on the playground, small walks in the woods, see some cool farm animals, and even have a little party.

Had a great time with the family. It was pretty cold out so will visit again when the weather is warmer. But the baby has a great time regardless so that's all that matters

This place is amazing! I've never seen so many animals in one location and I didn't feel the need to call the cops. They seem happy and eager for pets (except the geese).

These comments pertain entirely to the kayak launch. Enter the parking lot and go to the far right. You'll see a narrow dirt road and it takes you back to the launch site. Admission is free. Offload your boat/s and gear and return your vehicle to the main parking lot. The launch itself is a nice one: double-ended roll-up launch with a decent sized platform. Be advised that the roll-up launch on the right side as you're facing the creek, is unusable at low tide. Speaking of tides, check those out before you go, because the water does get very low at low tide. But all in all a very nice paddle. About 6 miles if you go up and back. Mostly marshland, lots of wildlife. Great views of area landmarks, like the Coliseum and Air Power Park. There are bathrooms at the farm, just inside the main gate on the right.

Very well kept. Spaces available to grill and pavilions for activities. There was not a concession stand open but that may be because it is off season. Bathrooms were immaculate.

Free admission. Has a playground, clean bathrooms, drinking fountains, hand washing station, pond, some animals roaming free, and farm animals. Great place to take children, just watch those tiny fingers as they have signs to not touch certain animals as they may bite. Shady place with picnic tables.

One of our favorite places to go! You can get feed from the vending machine but it only takes cards, not cash. The garden is pretty and the animals are fun to feed. The kids LOVE the playground and we had a birthday party there once. It wasn't expensive to rent the pavilion, we just had to go to Sandy bottom to do it (this was years ago though). There are also restrooms, Sanitizer and handwashing stations. It's a little hidden, but if you go past the playground there is a duck pond. The peacocks are always fun to see as well!

Great experience for kids with a nice playground. It's not as big as one can think. It's still a great free plan for kids.

Fun & free family outing just to get outside. Enjoyed walking around the gardens looking at plants (plant lover & owner here😜) & feeding a few animals. Kids enjoyed the play area. Will definitely do this more often when it's not too hot! Awaiting the next plant sale!!!!

My son (2yrs old) had an amazing time seeing the animals and running around ..Wish he could've feed some animals or even touch but it was a great experience for him... The playground was awesome too ... The staff really didn't interact with the people and didn't seen hand sanitizer neither..

It's amazing! Definitely a full day of fun, we'll have to go back on a non work day. I took my kid here after work as a neighbor mentioned it, i didn't know there was so much to do and see July 2023 update. I have since gone many times and I still haven't seen everything. This is such a gem!

I really enjoyed this small little park. completely free and lots of trashcans, benches to picnic and a good REAL bathroom not a portapotty. plenty of places to play for children like the playgrounds. I liked looking at the garden portion the most but the animals and forest trail was nice too.

My cousin comes here weekly with her two grandson. I went with them last week. It was a relaxing experience for us; and a fun time for the boys : )
