Excellent small touring caravan park (max 3 nights) on the outskirts of Belfast Fully automated, just book in online and you receive a 4 digit code that allows you into the caravan park and amenity block (also allows you to open the car park gates after hours to access the caravan park entrance). Pet friendly for pets kept on a lead. Well laid out, perfectly level spaces, all with dedicated electricity/ water points each. Clean toilet and shower block & sluice point. Note that there are no shared fridges/freezers. Spaces are large and allow cars to be parked beside caravans, or instead this area can be used for your awning. Coffee shop by the entrance, and all this embedded within a park with decent walking/ cycling trails and a large children's playground. The cycle path runs all the way into Belfast. If you want takeaway, Kinara Kitchen Indian food is less than a mile away and they will deliver to the park, one of the best Indian restaurants in Northern Ireland. There's also Tokyo's, serving stunning Korean food a 5-min drive from site (I haven't tested if they deliver). Jordanstown park also regularly hosts attractions such as circuses, ferris wheel, amusements and concerts. Can be booked for 1 - 3 nights, except at weekends when there is a 2-night minimum. Price is currently £27 a night during week and £30 a night at weekends. The site is also less than 10 mins drive from Abbeycentre, a large indoor shopping centre with many other stores around the exterior (Tesco, Lidl, M&S Food, pound stores, Go Outdoors, Halfords). AVOID booking space MH3 unless there's no choice, as it's the smallest space and has no room for an awning. Tents users can book one of the 3 dedicated tent spaces, but if these are full, alternately can book any of the camper/caravan spaces with grass beside them (not MH 1/2/3) and pitch on the grass and park on the tarmac space - but you would be charged at camper / caravan rates! All spaces, including tent spaces have dedicated electricity.

A small secure caravan and camping place on the shore of Belfast Lough, directly down the road from the ferry. Good facilities and peaceful.

It feels like sleeping right on the freeway, so noisy. The place itself is good, showers, toilets, washing machine, everything you need. However, waste disposal does not work. Garbage containers are full to the brim. The place is a bit expensive!

Lovely little caravan/camper site which is near Belfast City. There is one, just one, tent pitch plot. Caravan pitches aren't long, so you won't get a big awning up here. Facilities are well kept but the playground is outside the gates of the site and is a public place. You have stay with young kids. The site is also very close to a main road and quite noisy at night. Grand for a small few nights stay.

We used to come here years ago and the place was brilliant.. There was an attendant on site.. Always keeping the place tidy and cleaning the shower block etc... But now it has gone to the dogs!... The place is tired.. Gents toilets has one light working the other 4 or 5 were out... We arrived on friday afternoon and toilets were dirty and only one had loo roll... Toilets in same state on the Sunday when we left... Also there was no hot water for washing dishes, washing hands or showering in the toilet block... I reported this to the phone number on the door and spoke to a council rep.. Nothing was done so I said something to the girl in the attached cafe... So we both managed to restart the boiler.... Did this on Saturday and Sunday morning... Newtownabbey council need to get their act together..

The gate didn't work and was told by other people they'd had the same problem. No contact number outbof hours until you get INSIDE, one of the campers let us in after we tried in vain to contact someone! When I got inside, found a number to let them know the problem! Was told "Not your problem, you're in now so it doesn't matter" 🙄

After reading some negative reviews we were very pleasantly surprised. The site is conveniently placed next to lough and park. It has a secure entrance and has electric and water to each pitch. Our pitch had level hard standing and a bit of grass. Showers and toilets well maintained and also has a laundrette. Bus stop nearby as is train station although bus less frequent on Sundays. Nicely kept and ideal for hassle free stay near Belfast.

Had a great weekend at Loughshore for our first ever family caravan outing. The location is perfect with Belfast city centre and Carrickfergus both in close proximity. Loughshore is a great wee caravan park with some stunning views across Belfast Lough. Also the kids play park was ideal to which my 6 year old daughter can testify. Everything about Loughshore was fantastic and some great memories made at the start of our caravanning journey. Will definitely stay there again.

A convenient site for visiting Belfast and close to bus routes and train services direct to the city centre. Only 12 fully serviced sites but there is a lot of noise from the busy adjacent A2 main road. A children's play park just outside the perimeter can also be noisy. The showers and toilets are well maintained and clean.

Good carpark, plenty of room to park. Can be challenging to get across the dual carriage way

The positives: Great strong shower with plenty of piping hot water at no cost. The set up of the shower is great. Drains do smell a bit towards the end of the day. Theres laundry facilities on site at £3 a pop. Only used dryer, got 15mins out of £3. Pop in to the cafe next door for their coffee, treats and ice cream, you won't be disappointed and the staff are lovely. Great kids park next door to the park. Kept the kids happy. Free WiFi is handy. The negatives: This campsite would be great if it was located in another spot. The road noise is insane, we had two cars racing one night. It is not quiet in a tent and not suitable. The pitch dips in the middle. When we arrived on we knew the weather wasn't going to be great so we pitched to the left of it. Glad we did. There were some intense showers that fell during our time here and the puddle formed, pitch was drenched (the loss of a star isn't due to the weather). There's a stand in the parking area outside the site that can be used by the public. We experienced a band during a weekend day (they were great), but there was a group of preachers on it at 9 o clock on a Sunday night preaching about Jesus. No one there, just them. Seems like you need permission from the council to use it. Would we be back? Not in a tent. Ear plugs and eye mask wouldn't even save you.

Amazing campsite love the security and privacy and the just enter code and go in the only thing I don't like is you have to wait a while before using the code again if you use it once other then that it's amazing

Right next to Belfast Lough. Facilities are really good - toilets and shower immaculate, cafe on site and very secure gated access. However the big issue for us was road noise. Coupled with wind and rain the noise on top of the California was circa 70db all night. Would probably be a completely different experience in a camper with more sound proofing.

👍👍 Great place for a walk, run or cycle. Family friendly with play area for kids and some picnic tables. You can normally find an ice-cream van in the carpark during the spring and summer and there are public facilities on site.

👍👍 There are a few different routes to the caves. This one was from beside Belfast Castle. It's quite steep in places but if you take your time, you should be fine. Worth carrying on up to the fort at the top.. The view is AMAZING!!!

👍 Take the grand kids here,, it's only a few minutes drive from my house. Has a carpark next to it which is very handy,. The kids love it here because it's all been modified and more in tune to the way they want the park to be . They have also made lots of new friends, if you have not been here before...
