Lovely 5k walk, there are a few small hills...to get to the top and it can be very mucky when it's raining but the view at the top is worth it. I would also recommend visiting the men sheds if you have the kids with you. They always have little projects to put a smile on the adults and kids faces.

Some very steep hills but some super views across Belfast to go with them. Worth the climb. Some easier paths in there as well.

A nice place to spend your day. About five miles away from the Belfast city and you can take a bus or a train to Hollywood and from the bus stop its about 30 minutes walk to the park. You can walk around the park but it is muddy and slippery in some places during rainy days. Get ready for a small hike if you are going. You can see a nice scenery of Belfast harbor and the Holywood beach while you are walking in the park. Not much crowded.

Not as busy as many other well known parks / forests in and around Belfast. Some steep paths, but these can be avoided to stay on an easier route. Some great views of Belfast - was really quiet the day we were up and you can take a short walk or go for a longer distance. Most paths are not suitable for a buggy. You will pass the odd dog walker and runner - other than this super quiet. Nice site for a quiet walk. Good parking at key entry points.

Quite hilly, but a lovely walk with great views over the city and the planes can be seen landing down at the docs. Bring good shoes as it's quite muddy too.

Pretty quiet walk with numerous paths/routes to take. Can pick the tougher ones if you're feeling extra energetic! The view at the top was worth my struggle on the steep hills. Great for dogs too. But not all dog owners seem to pick up their poop which can be off putting to the trail.

Reasonably steep but a great walk and an adventure. I love the feel of the tracks and the area. Lovely view and lovely plants and trees. You rarely come into contact with other people so it's a great way to get away from stress and just chill.

Nice wooded country park in Holywood. There's great views of Belfast lough from the top of the park. The walk can be steep in parts and it's possible to lose your bearings if you don't pay attention to the maps in the carpark and at the top. There's a well marked blue colour coded 5km walk to follow around the park.

Lovely area to walk either alone or with a canine buddy. Lots of different routes to take and you can almost forget about the world as you wander through the woods.

Some very steep paths that only the fit should attempt. It is definitely not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. There are some some nice views over Belfast Lough from the high points. Overall, I was a bit disappointed because there was quite a bit of dog mess, a lack of waste bins and little seating.

Was a beautiful walk, not to long 5-6 kilometers. Plenty of parking. A lot of dog's walker's early in morning.

Great green space. But be warned you will be wrecked just getting up the first hill! Definitely recommend for kids, adults and dogs!

Definitely one of my favourite places to walk. A short walk or a long one - a stroll or a hike -rejuvination or exploration - you find it all at Redburn! I prefer the walk from the carpark - lay-by at the Old Holywood Road - the steep start definitely warms you up. As you proceed further, forest opens and the view starts to captivate your attention. From here you may prefer to walk the less frequent 'in-forest' path - my dogs love all the smells, and there is a better protection from possible rain - you may choose hiking shoes after wett days - it will be muddy unless dry weather on previous days. This time of year - bluebell carpets are spreading widely - rightly enough to call it a fairy walk - reminding you that you are living on beautiful planet! The walk from the carpark close to to the Care Home at Old Holywood Road is more gentile for your lounges (unless you take the right hand side path - a killer challenge for your lungs!) The walk from Holywood cemetery - following the road leading right that turns into a lane will lead you to the Men's shed (definitely a fairy tale playground for little ones!) The walk from Jackson's Road is an option for the most leisure stroll - heading straight on the wide gravel path, and following the turn right will keep you on the lower part of the loop. At the junction - right - getting up to steeper part of the loop - left - getting down to Men's shed. You can easily walk the loop under an hour but if you don't know your way around, you can loose the bearings and your walk may take much longer. Anytime, from any starting point, with somebody or alone - this park will always share its magic! It is indeed magical! ( afternoons are in general busier especially at weekends)

Quite challenging depending on your fitness level and choice of footwear. Some incredibly steep sections of the path lead to beautiful views over Belfast Lough and mountains.

Redburn country park is a lovely forest to wander round for a while. The paths are well signposted but equally you can wander off the path too. There's little curiosities like the bear pit and the remains of the Dunville mansion. Adjacent to it is Nun's wood and overall it's just nice to wander round. Or take a picnic up to the top of the escarpment for the views out across Belfast Lough.

Really lovely walk and super views of Belfast Lough, Lough shore and Belfast. Very steep to begin with but you gotta go up to get the landscape views. Coming down was easier but started feeling it in the knees and lower quads.

Redburn country park is the most wonderful place for flora and fauna, with a great array of flowers and if you are lucky, you might see the red squirrel. There are a lot of different walks to explore. The atmosphere is pure fresh air. The bird life is wonderful. Very enjoyable for a lovely day out. The history of the woods is very old and well worth hearing about the story of the Dunville family and their private zoo. And remember to visit the men's shed very child friendly.

If you like hiking, you'll enjoy climbing to the top. The views on the sunny day are great and the atmosphere so serene. One of the Belfast's closest country parks. Worth a visit!
