We ordered from Riverside tonight. We live close by and ordered for delivery thinking the food would be fresh when we got it. Wrong. Spinach dip had a hard layer of cheese we couldn’t even dip through (maybe just a downfall of ordering instead of getting it fresh). Order was supposed to come with naan bread and chips, we got no chips. $14 for jalapeño poppers and it only comes with 4? The fries with our fish and chips were so dry, hard and stale, they were inedible. My fish had raw, gummy batter. You can see some on the fries.

More of a dive bar, then a restaurant like it use to be. Food does not match the Description on the menu and when I questioned the waitstaff she said, yeah the owner changed the item but didn’t update the menu. No solution was offered. I unfortunately had to write this terrible review because we reached out to the owner first but got no response. I would like to add that the bartender did show that he cared and tried to assist us over the phone, the owner could learn from him. We were informed that the items were changed so they could save money. Just unfortunate all around. We will never be back. Terrible quality, high prices, add in fruit flies all over our table and disgusting bathrooms. So disappointed. **** Edit in response to the owner. A honest review is not sabotaging a business. I did bring up my concerns to your staff as mentioned above. I also reached out to you privately before I wrote my review. If you do not want hard working paying customers in your business, then what type of patrons are you looking for. Your employees are the ones that informed us that it was your fault that the changes were made and it was to cut costs. How is this my fault.

Ordered thin crust pizza tonight for pickup and it was absolutely undercooked dough. The dough was so thin it was like toilet paper and sticking to the box.. went back and the owner was absolutely rude telling us we ordered that and we can’t get money back next time without a receipt, the owner was yelling at us at the bar infront of everyone and whipping around the pizza saying “thin crust thin crust this is what thing crust looks like” then she noticed that it was undercooked and walked away .. ever since new owners I will not be going back, awful customer service and awful food. Should definitely make sure pizza is cooked before serving it and owner should be a good enough owner to realize she was in the wrong.

Very disappointed. The menu read great but feel short. The Turkey Brie Sandwich, came recommended , so I ordered it. Turkey was grisly and I’m not sure what happened to Brie and cranberries. Was a poorly put together sandwich. Location is beautiful, and waitress was lovely however the bartender yelled at customers while I was there. It made it feel less than welcoming. Not sure I will return or recommend. Edit- Just like I said not a welcoming place and they troll the google reviews to try and scare and or deflect an honest experience and review

Most of the pictures posted on these reviews are from the "old" Riverside tavern. It has been sold and the new owner has redone the whole building inside and out and new menu! You must check this place out now...one of the nicest, best places to eat in Chippawa or in the surrounding area for that matter! Chippawa has needed a breathe of fresh air for years and 1 week ago today the void was filled. I've been anxiously waiting to go here to eat after seeing everyone's food posts. Well, tonight was the night and I must say...besides the typical wait of a new place opening up, being lined up out the door and still getting staff and timing in order this place lived up to each and every picture and comment I've seen on facebook. Bernie congrats on the absolutely amazing job you've done with the place. It was an absolute pleasure attending the Riverside Tavern and sampling some of your menu items with a few others. I cant wait to return to try something else! Also thank you Chef Stephen(<--super add to the team Bernie)for kindly delivering some food to our table and also a congrats to you and your team on the amazing food choice and preparation. If you havnt been yet go with an empty belly...you will not be disappointed! 😎👌

Great drinks, great food and awesome service! Loved their Moscow mule. They have locally brewed beer. Their pizzas are huge and their orchard burger was great!

A group of friends and I decided to try Riverside after new ownership as we haven’t been in a few years. Ordered the nachos, was room temperature and the chips were soggy. Our server had mentioned during conversation that the new owner talks down to them. The owners replies to reviews on here backs that up quite sufficiently. Sad to hear, only good thing about this place was the band on that night.. will definitely not return or recommend.

Once again, great food and staff after a round of golf. Laura B seated us and checked in as we dined along with our server. They work great as a team lol. Blue Cheese burger and Turkey Club were fantastic. Bernie does a great job of hiring friendly people and making great portions of healthy food. The whole menu looks great, will need to keep trying different things till we try them all !!!

My first time trying this place. Went for lunch with my friend and sat on the patio. Our server was friendly and efficient, our food was all correct and best part everything was delicious. Definitely will be going back!

Fantastic meal and very good service. Got the fisherman's pasta and it was perfect. The pasta was cooked to perfection, the seafood was excellent, side salad was fresh and cold. Would suggest to anyone looking for good food at a fair price and a casual dine in experience. Presentation was spot on too😁

Great food and amazing customer service, I cant even lie, the looks of this bar / restaurant is very clean and welcoming. Perfect for drinks and cocktails, the wings were amazing, we went for a little birthday late night snack, cant wait until Niagara is outta the red zone, this place has a pool table and casino games and if your a Harley Davidson's fan, this is the Bar 4 u. But the servers their, have the best customer service my brother tipped big and he never tips. Lol Theirs so much more food we need to try, they have a beef rib lasagna...never heard of that but that's my next eats when we go there. Plus the restaurant faces a lake of water. Talk about a perfect picture location. I'm in love with this place.

It was ok. May be a little bit longer because if Friday evening. The food was correct. Taste their local wine - we liked it a lot.

Absolutely a great time, 6 of us stop in after riding the parkway the food was spot on our server was a funny guy made us feel right at home. The place was clean and well taken care of, this is on our return list. Thank you for a great night out....

I love this place. We’re from Oakville and when we come for a drive we always stop here. Love the house pint of beer. Food good and owner always finds the time to say hello and chat. Feel very at home here. Great view if sitting outside. What more could you want!!!

Amazing view, GREAT band and food was good when it got there. The renovations are really nice. The live edge bar is beautiful. But... they are terribly understaffed, like everywhere, post covid. The staff that showed up, were run off their feet, and the level of service really suffered.. 3 lbs of wings and a chicken sandwich shouldn't take 1.5 hours. When they get the staffing situation sorted out, this will be THE place to go.

I like the dimmed lights and the music was not too loud . The food was good, I ordered a salad and a poutine . I finished eating and the salad never got there . I would have liked to have it first , before the poutine. It's not a big deal but they weren't busy so I'm not sure what happened . 2 meals and a drink for under 50$ tip included. I think thats great .

An iconic restaurant that was recently renovated and looks great. The owner is a great guy that insists on providing the best possible experience and meal. All of the food is home made such as the hand pressed burgers which are fantastic.

Great menu with really good presentation. I like the casual vibe in the room as well. I'd prefer some different styles of beer on tap, it was mostly lagers. Bernie contacted me on the review and asked what beers I'd like to see. I default to Guinness, but really enjoy local amber ales or traditional ales.

Great service! I go to alot of bars to see my boyfriends band play and when he played at riverside this past Friday I was so impressed with the service. We had a waitress named Tara and she was one of the best servers I've seen in a really long time. She was very friendly and efficient we never had to wait for a drink she was on the ball.

Great local pub. Went for lunch and had blue cheese burger with salad. Husband had buffalo chicken burger with fries. The burger and fries are homemade. So good. Salad also nice. Good service too. Bathrooms super clean and well maintained too.

We had a wonderful tasty lunch! The service was excellent and the drinks were fabulous! The view was so beautiful and we didn’t want to leave……

Great place to stop and eat. Every appetizer we tried was great. Service was fast. Buffalo chicken was great. They had a live band which was also awesome. Overall, great location for a bite close to the falls.

Shepard's pie and fried chicken were both delicious! Our second visit and will go again! Great service! Lots of tvs to watch sports, nice vibe!
