Amazing views of the Niagara River, playground for children. Lots of room for families and events. Groups can bring bbq to cook 😋. Lots of history to explore and learn. Lots of areas to explore. Great trails of all levels for different groups - seniors, disabled, families with small children.

Start of the ever so long Bruce Trail! Who would of known!? Perfect for some rest and relaxation in the park. On a bike trip or a hike. Plenty of open space for picnics and trees for shade. Parking is metered be sure to pay. Gotta check out Brock monument and wander around a bit. Had a fenced in dog park too. But the views here are amazing down the lake.

I have to make a special trip to come back again . I went to this park yesterday because we joined a day trip tour to the Niagara-on-the-Lake and we were there to have lunch at the restaurant. Only have time to take a few photos of the Brock's Monument, didn't have time to see the whole park. I can see good children playground, beautiful flowers and trees, over looking the Niagara River . Should be very beautiful in the Falls.

A nice well maintained park with a view of the Niagara River. Place is peaceful during my visit. Restaurants and food park are closed this time of the month but will be open during summer and peak season.

Nice place to stop and enjoy the view. You can take beautiful pictures and relax. At the entrance to this historic Park you will be greeted by carpet bedding displays, along with formalized annual bedding schemes that surround both the Brock and Laura Secord Monuments. Nestled high atop the Niagara Escarpment, this is the birthplace of Niagara Falls - garden and nature lovers, hikers and picnickers have used this park for generations. Facilities include two picnic pavilions, washrooms, children's splash pad, tennis courts, a band shell, snack bar, children's playground and fine dining at Queenston Heights Restaurant with its award-winning VQA wine cellar. Queenston Heights Park is also a terminus point of the Bruce Trail, which winds it way northward over several hundred kilometers to Tobermory. This trail passes through the Niagara Escarpment, which has been recognized as a world biosphere by U.N.E.S.C.O. Parks Canada oversees the operation of Brock's Monument and also has a walking tour of the historic sites associated with this important battleground.

It's very nice to come here and take a little stroll, de-stress by the sorroundings (trees, flowers and the view of the lake). I enjoy visiting this place.

Perfect for a BBQ or a picnic. Just bring your own charcoal and food. They can accommodate events of small and large. Clean public washrooms. Wonderful historical and casual walking or running. Plenty of park space to play sports. It is paid parking but it is at a fair price.

Queenston Heights Park in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, is a breathtaking gem. Its lush greenery, historic significance, and stunning views of the Niagara River and surrounding landscapes make it a must-visit destination. The park's beautifully maintained trails and picnic areas provide a perfect setting for a day outdoors with family and friends. Don't miss the Brock Monument, paying homage to Major General Sir Isaac Brock, adding a touch of history to this already picturesque spot. Whether you're a nature lover or history enthusiast, Queenston Heights Park offers an unforgettable experience.

I've been to Niagara many times but have never come here. It's a very important site in Canadian history. There are pictograms to explain the significant battles and installations to commemorate the important role indigenous forces played in Canada's history. There Are bathrooms and gift shops available.

Great view from on top of the hill, but if you go down the trail there is an even better view. It was busy and no one had a mask on which was concerning, but you are able to park and see the view without getting out of your car if you want.

A very historic and strangely beautiful beast of a monument. It looks gaudy however as you start to feel and understand the piece of our history it represents, you just get it. Big bold and ugly but a wonderful statement for an understated battle. And hey, some dudes ashes are buried under there. You will have to visit it to find out who. Enjoy the view but stay for the peace we enjoy because of it.

A large, beautiful park located at a high point of the escarpment. The views from the monument are absolutely amazing and the wooded paths provide a peaceful stroll. This is also the head of the Bruce Trail.

Nice park for the stroll or a stop before or after crossing the US Canada border. Not too many picnic areas but some great views and a beautiful monument dedicated to the war of 1812. Washroom are very clean and well equipped but they lock them quite early (around 4pm) or at least when we were there.

We went on a beautiful walk through the park to stretch our legs from a long drive. Great park, easy parking, washrooms etc. Definitely worth the stop. It had a restaurant on site as well just not sure the hours as it was closed Monday afternoon when we stopped.

Excellent park full of history, great views and access to the Bruce Trail. There is also a season restaurant located within the park. Well maintained and cared for by the city with trails that lead off the property and down to the Niagara River. There are lots of options whether it be a walk, family bbq or some relaxation in nature. There is plenty of parking on site however it is not free.

We recently stopped in to visit the Queenston Heights Park in Niagara on the Lake. It has beautiful views of the Niagara River. Also features a monument dedicated to Sir Issac Brock. It has small plaques that teaches you small bits of History of the war of 1812 and Sir Issac Brock. Great place to take a nice walk, learn some Canadian history and even have a small picnic with your family. There’s outdoor washrooms on site and it does have paid parking. Beautiful park!

The towering trees provide ample shade, creating a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The park's location near the Niagara River adds to its charm, offering visitors the chance to enjoy scenic views of the water. History enthusiasts will be delighted by the park's historical significance. Queenston Heights was a significant battleground during the War of 1812, and the park pays tribute to this important chapter in Canadian history. Nothing special.... Just a standing monument.. but the view of Niagara river is awesome from here.... We missed the view due to the weather conditions, then also it was a nice view with all the clouds and dense fog! Seemed to be a white rover of clouds floating in a valley ..

A significant piece of History .. The Brock Monument stands watch. This is a testament to our long friendship with our neighbours to the south who tried to invade us once..and lost. Scouts from both sides of the now undefended 8900 km Canada-US border commemorate this each September by reenacting key battles of the War of 1812. The Scouts Brigade of Fort George (SBFG) campaign takes place on the grounds of Historic Fort George in Niagara on the Lake.

Well kept park but the parking meters didn't work which is the reason for the 4 star rating. Tried multiple times on 2 different units with different cards to no avail. I have used the same ones at other locations like the Glen and Dufferin Islands without issues. Ended up downloading the flowbird app. I had to zoom out to find the map marker for that location since searching the location ID didn't yield results. Bathrooms were clean/operational which in the current Covid climate was a relief since a lot of places they're off limits. Beautiful view and trail.

This is a location that takes full advantage of its perch atop the Niagara escarpment. Your eyes feast on the view of the river swirling towards lake Ontario and, on a very clear day, the Toronto skyline. I hesitate to share information about this prize venue as tourist can over-run gems. We've enjoyed Brunch here for over a decade. Sunday was exceptional again. Chef Bill chooses to delight with a menu that adds elevation to selections that are delicious. There's a legacy of serving the region's families that demands quality and culinary creativity. The team exceeds expectations. If you are so fortunate, Marie's passion for service may help you relax and enjoy being taken care of by a professional who also rises above. Food, service, and view. Savour Niagara here.

This is a nice place for a walk, featuring grandiose monument to Major General Sir Isaac Brock. The head of the Bruce Trail, 890km long hiking trail is located here. We were here in the winter time and it was reasonably clean for icy conditions. Queenston Heights was the site of the War of 1812 Battle of Queenston Heights, where Major-General Sir Isaac Brock was killed in action in the defence of Upper Canada (now Ontario). The Queenston Heights is a geographical feature of the Niagara Escarpment immediately above the village of Queenston, Ontario. Its geography is a promontory formed where the escarpment is divided by the Niagara River. The promontory forms a cliff face of approximately 100 m (approximately 300 ft).

The park is beautiful and is equal parts open field and forest. There are 2 pavilions that can be rented, but people also brought lawn chairs / picnic blankets to the park. The trails are all paved and the bathrooms were clean. It was great to both learn about history (Brock Monument and other displays) and to have the space to appreciate to appreciate nature and family.

I absolutely love Queenston Heights Park, it's absolutely beautiful. Everything from magnificent varieties of huge trees, to the wonderful gardens, playground, camp areas, and access to the Bruce Trail. If you should come on weekends during the summer, be sure to check out the Sir Isaac Brock monument, 234 steps to the top and you'll have the best view anywhere around of the entire area as well as the Niagara river. I'm still giving 5-stars as I absolutely love this park, but I'm really disappointed with the paid parking system that's come into place the last number of years, it's rather disappointing. However, it's a beautiful park and the maintenance is well taken care of.

Queenston Heights Park is a historic park that sits on top of the Niagara Escarpment at the south end of Niagara-On-The-Lake. This is the site of the Battle of Queenston Heights during the war of 1812. The Park is beautiful and is characterized by huge trees and large maintained grass areas. There are 2 huge picnic pavilions, tennis courts, a splash pad, an amphitheater, washrooms, a children's playground, picnic tables, a general store, and many gardens and trails both paved and natural. This park is also home to the Landscape of Nations memorial, and the Brock monument and tower. Also on site is the Queenston Heights restaurant which features fine dining. The park also contains the southern terminus of the Bruce Trail. Whether you're looking for the perfect spot for a family picnic, a hike through beautiful natural landscapes, or to step back in time and visit the historic monuments, this is the place. Weekends in the summer on fair weather days can be busy for picnics. There is lots of paid on-site parking. Picnic pavilions and BBQs must be reserved in advance (check the Niagara Parks website for pricing and availability as well as restrictions during covid 19).

We took the most fantastic walk around the Brock Monument today! It is definitely kept well clean for a spring day. I would recommend for all ages as their is a playground close by for kids and monuments of one of the greatest victorious battles of Canada to read and discover!

The restaurant at Queenston Heights Park is a wonderful place to enjoy a delicious meal with a stunning view of the Niagara River and the local vineyards. We went for their award-winning Sunday brunch with a variety of dishes to suit every taste. The service is friendly and attentive, and the ambiance is cozy and elegant. The restaurant is located in a historic building that dates back to 1900, surrounded by beautiful parkland and trails. It is a great spot to celebrate a special occasion or just relax and enjoy the scenery.

A great place to visit for a walk and some fresh air during any season, at any time of the day!!! Amazing views, and you can get a history lesson!!! Really observe and take in the Column and the statues. There is also a First Nations Monument on site. Bathrooms are usually clean... Please respect the public space and clean up after yourselves.... If you can, leave it better than you found it!!!!
