Great experience! Great location and nice hotel. Easy to walk anywhere you need to. The staff, especially Gregory P. went out of the way to help us with anything we needed during our stay, even helped us with recommendations that were not related to the accommodation. Very friendly and professional staff.

I stayed here about two weeks ago while visiting Nice. It was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at in France. We were able to get a room facing the courtyard rather than the street so it was very quiet and the rooms were comfortable. The concierge staff is really what makes this place shine. They are all very welcoming, accommodating and warm. Different staff members told us about activities to do around town and even helped us track down a private beach we could go to when the Blue Beach was full. The location was also excellent to old town and to Blue Beach. I would recommend staying here for anyone visiting Nice.

This hotel is in a great location just a few minutes' walk from the sea, and a lot more affordable than other hotels in the area. The staff were very helpful and charming, ready to assist with directions and recommendations. They even kept the luggage of my friends who were checking into an AirBNB later that day, which was extremely helpful and much appreciated. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable with high quality sheets. The shower had good water pressure and I was delighted to see there was AC! Overall, a great place to stay if you are on a smaller budget.

Oh my goodness the location of this hotel is perfect- close to the walking streets and steps from the water. The staff at the hotel were super friendly and helpful and felt very welcome. The room we had was pretty small which lead to it getting warmer then we’re used to so it led to some difficult sleeps however it was worth it for the location! They also give you playing cards upon check in which I felt was incredibly cute and we now use them at home

I booked this last minute to wait for flight home. The cost was incredibly reasonable. Upon arrival I was able to check in early, was given an adapter to borrow, and an excellent dinner recommendation. The front desk person Kurt, was incredibly helpful and kind. They have lovely amenities many of which I didn’t even have time to use like beach umbrellas, breakfast and so much more. Room was lovely and clean. I would definitely book again.

We stayed here just for one night due to the delay of our flight and it was perfect for our needs. A basic standard room, with a touch of elegance and very clean. We did not understood the bad reviews, the room was indeed small, but it is a 3 star hotel, not a fancy one, the staff was extremely polite and the little backyard garden really cute. Moreover, the location is very central, very close to Promenade des Anglais and Negresco and right near the Massena museum.

Very nicely situated, close to the beach and pedestrian area. The room was a bit small but had everything we needed. The bathroom was a good size.

Staff have no Clue what is booked and any requests will be ignored until you threaten them that your leaving the property and canceling your stay! The room is so small you have no space to open your luggage, the street outside is very noisey and loud at night and you will get little sleep, as we didn't, we were woken up by people drunk shouting in the middle of the night, its better to pay a little more and stay somewhere a little more professional, it was a complete waste of money, I would never stay here again, further to the owners response to my original post which I coudnt edit, we stayed here on Sat 16th April 2022 arrived at reception at 3:00pm and were told we will need to share a bed.. even thou we booked two single beds, its easy for the hotel to tell lies and say we never stayed here but the truth is they don't respect their customers needs/requests and I don't want any of you going through what we did, be aware when spending your hard earned money here, they don't appreciate your custom! Further to your comment - Indeed you did send an email to my colleague Solomon Samuel, Requesting him to ask me to delete this post, not once in that email did you mention that challenge that you had and explaining your position even so Mr Samuel requested and booked the hotel based on 2 single beds, (you where concerned about your image) Mr Solomon decided to ignore your email and moved on, however you have been very persistent to hide your failing management skills.. Not once did you show professionalism in admitiing your mistake.. a single sorry would of been accepted! but you continue to justify that you are Correct and the customer is wrong.. you clearly have your priorities as a business incorrectly aligned, p.s By admitting you made a mistake and being humbled you would have resolved this matter and not shown everyone who reads this genuine comment about your hotel on Google that your NOT interested in satisfying customers needs and also turning away potential future customers staying away from your hotel.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay here. Hotel is very well managed, clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff are excellent and location on Rue de France is perfect for shopping, restaurants, cafes and Promenade. We will definitely return!

We stayed here 3 nights and highly recommend for these reasons: the location is perfect. Easy access from the train station and very close to the beach. The staff are so friendly, and really enhance the stay. The room was very nice and good A/C. Although there is a small charge for beach towels, they provide other beach gear free of charge and the umbrella was particularly helpful for us! We didn’t have the hotel breakfast. There are many nearby boulangeries for morning coffee/croissant. Given Nice prices, the La Fontaine was reasonable and a great choice.

Room size is okay, rooms are bit dim. Service is great. Location is vert good, very close to beach. Breakfast isn't good

When I was looking for this hotel, I requested a location close to the two main attractions, Promenade de Anglais and Vieux Nice. After arriving, I found that its location is near perfect: it is just two blocks away from the Promenade, and it is close to the famous luxury hotel Negresco, and the price is less than 1/3 of its price. It's a 10-minute walk from the ancient city. What's even better is that it's on the same street as Nice's pedestrian dining and shopping street, less than two blocks away. It's very close to the bustle, but not noisy. The hotel is very newly maintained, clean and fresh and elegantly decorated. Open the window of the room and you will see a very beautiful small courtyard. Breakfast was a bit simple, but it was no problem to leave with full stomach with very fresh typical French breakfast food. The service is superb - we had to leave early with a long driving day and they were so accommodating and opened the breakfast for us only 30 mins ahead of schedule.

Cheap price, rooms are so small and the smell inside the hotel is unbearable

Nice hotel, convenient location, but noisy outside, some people were smoking even though it was forbidden to smoke even on the balcony, as the smell was spreading into other rooms. Overall it would be a good choice for short stays.

room's are nice, beds are comfortable, and clean, we had no issues with loud noises as we were facing the patio area. location is excellent, so close to the promenade and to nice restaurants. only compliant is the horrible wifi, we were on floor 1 and it was so awful, might even be the worst hotel wifi i have ever used, asked them to fix it and it never got fixed for longer than 2 hours. could not even use my cellphone in the room to send a simple text or do a quick google search to find directions on the last day of our stay (it was bad but at least i could text the rest of the days, the last day im not sure why but it totally crapped out). front desk people are very kind though and helped with recommendations and directions and at least asked if the wifi was working better but sadly it was not. not sure it was a whole hotel thing or a room thing, but nonetheless it was annoying.

Almost perfect little hotel with a great staff, clean rooms and good location. + Clean, compact room + Spacious, comfy bathroom + Attentive, friendly staff + Right at the beach (50mish) +- saw too late there was a second pillow, these small pillows thag squish are ruinous for side sleepers necks - big party on weekends from the party tourists, woke me a few on fridays, drunk chatter at 5 am. not from the hotel but next baer

The staff is fantastic, in particular Raphael. He was personable, knowledgeable, and expertly assisted us and made sure our travel needs were met. The room and hotel are very clean. Our only issue is the room smelled strongly of cigarettes and this made it hard to sleep. We were there only one night and knew that we had the last room in the hotel otherwise we would have requested a different room. For the price this should not have be an issue €$300+taxes. Because of this I would think twice about staying and likely stay elsewhere.

Nice hotel in central location close to sea. Very flexible and friendly service. Extra shout-out to the breakfast staff, they sorted out our booking mistakes with a smile.

Friendly staff and great location. Only complaint would be that for a few days during our stay the lobby smelled like garbage. The smell never made it into our room, but it wasn't pleasant to walk in/out of. Overall a good experience, especially for the price point.

Comfortable hotel, my room was simple but nice. Bathroom was renovated which was a plus. Breakfast didn't a have a big variety but what was offered I enjoyed with pleasure. A big plus for the staff: they were all super friendly and helpful about everything. A minus for the street noise that made me sleep with ear plugs.

Great small hotel just a block off the Boulevard des Anglais. Very quiet even though in the heart of the dining district. Staff very nice and always available at the 24/7 front desk. Perfect solution to my desire to stay on alone for Carnaval after tour group left town. Cost was half what the group hotel wanted for additional nights.

Stayed here several times, staff fantastic, breakfast exactly what you need to start your day. Rooms small but always clean and do the job. Excellent again as usual. Thank you.

Nice hotel, nice staff. Rooms are a bit small (at least the one we had) but are very clean and well equipped. The corridor got a bit noisy at times but nothing too troubling. The staff gave us good recommendations for dinner and the price was overall a good value. Recommended for casual travelling or a short business.

Hotel de la Fontaine is a very nice small hotel well situated to explore Nice. I particularly appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who are all multilingual. A welcome feature was breakfast at 3 Euros per person per day. Our room was small but clean and well maintained by the housekeeping staff. It has a pleasant patio as well as interior seating for breakfast or drinks.

Its nicely located. Very affordable and clean. However, the hotel reception and corridors had a certain smell i couldn't shake off. The rooms were also small. And for those who go out late, you would most likely be stuck outside past midnight as they lock-up the hotel and if you do not have someone to come help you open it, there is no way in as calling the reception desk doesnt really help.
