You can't go inside, but only visit the suvirnier shop and taking pics at the red carpet is a highlight for everyone. There are famous Hollywood star palms around the buildings. It's a good experience to visit, after how curious what the Cannes film festival location look like. And next to it is a beautiful ocean, hundreds of visitors everyday.

Palace located in the Croisette the prestigious road of Cannes, in spring every year this palace became the centre of the world for the Cinema, the Cannes Festival is one of the most important show and competition in movie sector. During the Cannes festival it is easy to see movie star and famous peoples guest of the event. Place to visit in Cannes with lot of luxury boutiques very close. Often the palace host trade show. Best moment to visit spring and summer. On the side of the palace there is a Casino.

Visited the week before Cannes 2023 and it was great to see the set up for the festival even though it was restricted.

Being here, everything doesn't look so great. It's an example of how much the media can influence people's perception of things. Of course, the Cannes Film Festival is the most important event that leaves its mark on the perception of the place, but there are many other events that take place here. The sea is very close, but there are many other opportunities in this town.

A place with awesome stunning view. Love to visit it every November because there is not a lot of people and I can enjoy it better. It’s in the center of Cannes so you can go to the shops which are awesome and down the Riviera all the boutiques have the best windows.

What would Cannes be without the Palais? This 'icon' is well located between the old harbour and the Croisette, granting a very unique view on the Mediterranean Sea, harbouring some of the most prestigious / glamorous events in the world. A little touch up would be nice, but if you are in Cannes, you should definitely enjoy a few minutes on the famous steps. Also check out at the handprints of several famous Hollywood stars, imprinted in the walkways in front of the main entrance.

It’s 13th April 2022. The palace was fine but the lady at the gift shop, I can’t help regarding her as a racist. I understand that it’s time for her to rest but why only told me to leave, while some white people just wandered in the shop and she said nothing to them. After almost one minute, they didn’t walk out of the shop so I thought that maybe it’s fine for me to try a hat on. And she stopped me again. I don’t know why she only targeted me - because I was alone or because of my race? Anyway I am not happy with the way she did her job. And I don’t recommend this place to any Asian people.

Free parking on Sundays. Building very old and doesn't look like a place visited by Holywood stars

I've been here for the CFC2023 conference. The acoustics and the width of the rooms were very suitable for the conference. Also the view of Cannes from the building is amazing.

If you wish to take a picture ON the red carpet, be nice and wait in line for short time (5-10 mins max).😉💃 Or do slefie from the sides like we did.

Worth seeing once you are in Cannes, but rather disapoointing once you eventually see it. Even the famous carpet is pretty faded

It was fun to see the handprints of the stars. Having been to Hollywood, it was fun to compare. The gift shop has some great props for amazing photos. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

The most popular place in Cannes. Unfortunately when we were here there was no iconic red carpet. Even without the carpet though it’s still a great place to snap a photo like your favourite celebrity. There is a lot to see around this area and also all the hand prints of famous actors to look at. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès (Palace of Festivals and Conferences) is a convention centre in Cannes, France, the venue for the Cannes Film Festival, the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity and the NRJ Music Award. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès has been created to accommodate the largest festival of cinema in the world. The building opened in 1982.

I can definitely say that this is the decoration of Cannes. Here you will learn a lot about the festival that takes place every year in this city. Around the building and even in the building are casts of the hands of famous actors and filmmakers. Definitely worth a visit.

Finally back after the Covid hiatus!!! I missed it!!! The Cannes Film Festival is Always an amazing 12 day event to attend at least once in your life! The Palace is very well appointed, easy to navigate and very clean.

It’s a nice and easy place to go to. There’s some glamour when the carpet is down and there are celebrities hand prints that are cool to see. There’s no cost associated to this visit. Also - there’s a gift shop with official Cannes Festival souvernirs and items from previous editions at a great discount.

I was staying in Cannes in September 2017. An elderly woman with some friends wanted to know where the place was with the handprints of stars. I gave her directions as I had been there a few days before. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès has a gift shop with some unique T-shirts that celebrate the Cannes Film Festival. The t-shirts are made available so you can say, "Been there, done that, got the t-shirt."

Very beautiful place and lots to see around the yearly Film Festival. If you wait long enough, and plan everything out - you can defiantly see some exciting faces.

Iconic place of course but don't expect something extraordinary or huge...it is just a normal building, not even beautiful. It is over crowded by people taking selfie on the red carpet =))

Good location and spectacular surrounding but tragic conditions: boring, ugly building, terrible facilities, old and screaming for a major renovation... Keep thinking how on earth this place can host such events as MIPIM or the movie festival...

  • 4/5 Sujir Pavithra N. 2 years ago on Google
Not sure what to rate this place when there is no film festival. The red carpet is cool to take pictures. There was an antiques market on the beach front next to this which was cool. It was a Sunday.

one of the best place to take a picture in Cannes, You can see the Famous "Red Carpet", but I am sure not as cool as what you see TV.

The Goscinny exhibition was BRILLIANT! If all such temporary exhibitions are this good, you should definitely check what is happening here when you visit Cannes.

Been there on the 65. Cannes Filmfestival. All the glamor is for the stars. No one, not even accredited filmmakers are getting help for all the interesting stuff you are able to see there. It definitely is an incredible atmosphere, and there are a lot of nice people to see, to meet, and to make friendships with, but from the official side - you are on your own. Never the less, this is one place, that i will never miss. It was something special, not everyone is allowed to be part of.

Slightly outdated conference center. All is in orderly shape but a bit old and cramped. Parking in the garage is very limited so prepare to take a longer walk to the venue. Organization of events is OK, sometimes a bit like a maze to get around.
