A very good ancient and historical place to behold !! Cool, calm and exciting with the root memory of Jos and it's numerous history all here for tourist to see. The zoo section is fitted for sight seeing of various kinds of animals, birds as well as being a good playground for children picnic. Lot of people come to this place daily especially as it is in the central of Jos town, with weekend and public holiday full with a lot of people traffic to spend time here. A lovely place to be indeed for sightseeing !!

Very nice solution to the traffic challenges being experienced in the pass but came with a technical challenges in my view; the road divider stopped under the bridge, therefore giving room for users to make U-turn left and right causing serious traffic. I think this is a terrible error.

Jos museum and zoo is a nice place to visit anytime you are in Jos plateau state Nigeria. Jos town is pretty cold . the zoo is in town not too far from the popular state public garage called terminus. The zoo has different types of animals like lions, monkey, tortoise, hyena, giraffe alligator, ostrich, baboons, elephant, eagle to mention a few. The zoo is open from about 8.30am to 5.30pm everyday, but I am not too sure about their operational hours on Sunday. Its a nice place to visit anytime you are in Jos.

Lots of historic items to see here. The various artifacts are well labelled along with well-written short articles about them, the culture the artifacts represent, and also the age or period they belong to. There are artifacts from all over the country here, which is a good thing.

The Jos museum and zoo is an interesting place to visit alone or in company of others. It houses quite a number of local and foreign animals for every animals. On entrance, you will meet the crocodiles in the ponds surrounded by shallow water bodies. Then you meet the monkeys, pigeons, lions, eagles of different types, jackals a d even a python. This is a really nice place to spend time with friends and family under a cool atmosphere. There are train cabins and cars used in the early 1900s there as well as all sorts of artefacts of Nigerian origin. In the museum, there are ancient pots, ancient jewellery, drums, weapons of war used in the olden days and even protective gears used by ancient warriors. The museum and zoo is a place to visit whenever you're in Jos. It certainly will be a time well spent. So, welcome to the tin city of Jos.

Leventis was a super market which is no longer existing in the location but the structure and name is still there. There is also no roundabout around anymore instead there is an under-pass bridge there now.

For what it's worth, the on-going project at the roundabout is for the greater good of the state. The addition of extra-lanes and building of the over-head bridge is to the end that Kaduna state dwellers benefit from their taxes and find comfort whenever they commute. However, the traffic state of that particular site is not pleasurable. It is obviously expected that there would be traffic gridlock due to the on-going construction, but this gridlock shouldn't be as terrible as it is now if proper road construction safety measures and adhere to and if alternative routes are well communicated and feasible.

  • 5/5 Liesel81 4 years ago on Google
I think one thing I was impressed about the most regarding this museum was the cost for visiting 50 Naira the price of one gala. Seriously people should be visiting this institution at least twice a week as it offers a lot of value for money. The museum has the outdoor exhibition that focuses cars, engines and trains used during the tin mining and colonial times. Inside you have different sections - traditional artifacts, masks and pottery. On the museum premises you can also visit the tin mining exhibition or climb the 100 steps to an area that once was the first settlement of Jos people that two provides an amazing view of the city. This attracts a separate fee

This place is famous as Leventis Roundabout, but with the 2021 infrastructural transformation of Kaduna State under the administration of Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, it's now Leventis Flyover. The vegetational symbolic Roundabout has been replaced with a flyover presenting unique view at sometime linking Yakubu Gowon way with Broadcasting Road while Ahamadu Bello way fly over the link.

Used to be a busy round about and a cause of major traffic. Now, it's am underpass which greatly solves the traffic problem close to the bis market. Nice development

  • 3/5 Thaddeus Smalles A. 2 years ago on Google
Previously Leventis Roundabout, this place is now an underpass. Personally, I don't think it has solved the traffic issues it was designed to and its construction has made navigating u-turns on this route stressful than before. Aesthetically, the murals on the bridge will conserve the history of the people for quite sometime. This counts as something.

  • 3/5 Enoch Z. 1 year ago on Google
Leventis roundabout: formally simply a roundabout, but now having an underground passage_ hence no more a roundabout as the name illustrates.

  • 4/5 Alice A. 1 year ago on Google
